Awesome bike Ray, I would have one of those before the BMW XR. I rode my mates 22' model 1000XR and it didn't impress me one bit. I couldn't wait to get off it.
I've heard that Michael, that the XR is is underwhelming to say the Least!

I would really like to own one of those models, but where I live does not make sense of owning one. Currently I own a Vulcan 900, a KLR, and a VSTROM 800DE. I am looking at purchasing an Indian Pursuit, which makes no sense to own, where I live either, but it's purpose is for out of State. All the other bikes make sense, because of their unique characteristics, and the State's unique road system.

Alaskan and Northern Canada have a lot of messed up frost heaved roads, and pock marked dirt roads that they both call highways. That is why I choose the bikes based on their unique qualifications. KLR to fall apart on the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay, while the VSTROM is for traveling longer distances through the Yukon Territory. The Vulcan is for local commuting on asphalt roads around Fairbanks.
