- This Stoeger Condor Outback has a 20” barrel with an improved cylinder and modified choke and walnut furniture. Easily my favorite over and under shotgun. Great gun for the price.
Shell holder from Acropolis Workshop in Ukraine off of Etsy.
If anyone is curious on how to bypass the auto safety, I have a video here ua-cam.com/video/b7-iRbyEdvg/v-deo.htmlsi=jfDhNWW6oEmmwzwX
That has got to be just about the handiest little hunting shotgun made. I'd like to see slug accuracy at 50 and 100 yards from it...
New sub...thanks!
I’ve got the nickel with black walnut stock version. I have the choke tubes setup as mod/mod and love it. The only problem I have with it is when I took it deer hunting it was reflecting light in my face like I was carrying a disco ball in my hands.
Lol I guess all things have a balance. It’s cool that yours is weather proof and won’t rust if you put it away wet.
Do you recommend it??
@@BenSmith-gv6hb If you’re looking into getting a budget over under I would definitely suggest it.
@@trynsurviven2440 do you have to switch the safety every shot?
@BenSmith-gv6hb no, you can go bang, bang as quick as you can pull the trigger. It’s only when you cock the barrel open to reload it that the safety comes on. I have a video that shows you how to bypass that too. There’s a link in my pinned comment on this video or you can go to my shotgun playlist :)
I checked and my local gunstore has one of these in stock. Seems very versatile. I currently only have a pump action but love how simple the break action is. The only thing that worried me is when you mentioned light strikes.
Those were the only shells that I got light strikes with. I wouldn’t be too worried about any US manufacturers or bird shot. It’s probably a good idea to buy a box to try before a case to make sure they are reliable and you always have your pump gun to cycle the ones that don’t go bang.
I've been trying to find one of these at the LGS for a while now. They are unobtainium.
I got mine from Buds Gunshop and transferred to my dealer. I signed up for notifications from Sportsmens Warehouse for over a year too. Saw them appearing on Gunbroker lately but didn’t want to pay extra. When I got the notification from Buds, I called Sportsmens to see if they had any on the way to not have to pay shipping or a transfer fee. They said that they would only get one randomly, if at all, so I went with Buds.
Gunbroker can be your friend, just had my gun shop order in a stainless one for me.
You mention in the video about modifying the auto safety. Could you elaborate on that? Cheers, Will
@@wills9266 There’s a safety bar that you remove completely and add a roll pin in its place that the safety springs will rest on top of. I took some video of it when doing it and I’ll try to edit it and put it together for you within the next couple days :)
@@wills9266 I just uploaded a video on how to do that for you ua-cam.com/video/b7-iRbyEdvg/v-deo.htmlsi=jfDhNWW6oEmmwzwX
Are the shotgun sights in this video the original sights that came with the shotgun. It’s hard to tell but some of the reviews show the rifle sights with fiber optics embedded in them while others just seem to be regular iron sights. On Stoeger’s website it just says rifle sights but nothing about the fiber optics embedded in the sight.
Yes, these are the original fiber optic sights that came with the gun. I haven’t changed anything. I really like the visibility. I don’t know if anything’s changed.
Are the sights screwed in where you can modify them
@@jamesfincher-l3o the actual sights look permanently attached. They have round holes machined into them that the fiber optics are pressed into.
Is the trigger mechanism mechanical or inertia?
I believe mechanical because I can dry fire both barrels back to back.
Have you tried it with slugs and rifled choke tubes
No, I haven’t.
You know if she's any good for deer hunting? Was thinking about picking one up with some 00 buck and seeing if I can get some whitetail this upcoming season
I think it would do great! Less cumbersome than a longer barrel shotgun. A quick Google search said it only lost 100 ft./s. when going from a 26” to a 14” barrel. Shotguns with bird shot or buckshot, are less susceptible to velocity loss in barrel, length compared to rifles and pistols. Thanks for looking me up and watching!
No problem you make some very good points in your video. Definitely subscribing and looking for your videos more often when in need of advice. Was only really finding people using them for bird so didn't know if it would be a good purchase for whitetail. Do you have any idea of a range I have for shots? 40/50 yards is a stretch but possible right?
And thanks for actually answering to my comment. Most people post and just say screw it not gonna help anyone out with answers lol
@@dustinharris3146 you would want to switch to a full choke for going 40 to 50 yards. A modified choke can go 25 to 45 yards with steel shot upon my research.
Alright sounds good. Thanks for your advice
Nice!
It would be perfect with ejector
Definitely 💯
Sweet my is coming in in a few weeks. Where did you pick up that shell saddle brother?
Right on! It’s awesome for the price! I got the shell holder off of Etsy from Acropolis Workshop for about $56. So many to choose from everywhere. Love the soft neoprene on my cheek and to easily slide the shells in, although leather pouches might hold the shells in better when unlocking the shotgun fast. It’s still quality made and looks really good.
@@RangeToyz sorry i commented to soon you mentioned it in the video.
But thanks for the video looking forward to getting my gun. You earn my subscription
@@1024dram no worries, glad to have you aboard! If you’re looking to disengage that auto safety, I’ll try upload the video I took, replacing the bar with a roll pin. It’s a solid fix. I saw another video where a guy used a roll pin from Harbor Freight . I brought calipers with me to a High School Pharmacy, and they have a huge selection of roll pins, gun screws, nuts, bolts, springs etc. Mine was a much tighter fit.
@@RangeToyz badass yea i will probably leave mine as it comes for now but if it gets too annoying ill contact you.
What really sold it for me was the fiber optic sites and its compactability.
I normal just throw an ak or sks in the atv but i thought this stoeger would be another cool option
I got the 20 GA, for kids and the girl and the woman but i like to shoot it to , i may get one in 12 GA for me .
