Man the VZ wagons are so good. I have grown up in one when my parents bought it in 2009. They are so comfortable and spacious, the boot space is also crazy. The motor is nothing to write home about tho, alloytec isn’t an amazing motor but perfectly fine as a daily
A VY Wagon pretty much offers the same experience, but with the more reliable Ecotec... But I agree, this generation of wagon was so practical, more so than the later VE/VF's which had the nicer looking sporter rear end however they were less practical as a result...

Not usually a wagon fan, but this looks clean AF. VZ really was such a nice shape.

Hard to not like the idea of the practicality of a wagon but with the V8 to keep a smile on your face too
Here in Europe we had the "sister car" Opel Omega, but most of them were 2.0-2.2 gas or diesels. Nice to see it with proper power under the hood!

You should do a sneaky ls swap on a opel omega using the holden parts to bolt it in
Really enjoyed the review, Ross. It’s a great looking and sounding wagon. It looks like a lot of fun to drive. The engine swap and the upgrades to the box have transformed this wagon. It looks like a real show car as well, really clean. Once again a big credit to the owner.

Be cool to see a factory vz berlina 6L wagon.. VZ is the best-looking model. .. I frof the long roofs mint build! The ultimate two cars I'd love to own is the vz series 2 maloo and the vz berlina wagon 6L

The gearbox is about to blow up. Listen to the 2nd 3rd shifts it slips on the change.
I don’t notice
Watch the tacho in the video around the 7 minute mark or listen to the revs
I felt sorry for that poor old 4l60e too on some of those shifts lol
Best upgrade for the car would be removing the window sticker

I have a 2001 vx commodore wagon in the herron white ..that I want 2 do a ls1 swap ...the ecotec is a fantastic engine atm but need them $$$$ 2.do.the swap

Love a good wagon! ill be honest, never been a fan of the vz front. Vy ss/spac is 100% better looker. But damn, once you slap an ls in it, cant complain xD. Had a vr 5.0 ute. So miss having a v8 but this would be close to what i would definitely aim for. Whether its ls swap my vs wags or one day a vy ss wags. Oof, mint ride though

Why does it rev out while going from 2nd to 3rd gear? It’s like it jumps in neutral for a second and revs before going into 3rd (I think it’s 3rd not 4th)

Its been an issue on the platform for years at this point, its not common but when it happens its an issue, i think its the AI detecting users that are in-active, but most the people it targets are pretty active, always gonna come back, love the content!@@RossReviewsau
