And also gears would slam down real hard when slowing down and also a vibration running throughout the car. But I got home. Thanks again. 😊👍
For anyone where this is not fixing the issue, try wiggling the connection to the starter motor, sometimes the connection goes bad. This fixed it for me after this video did not work.
I have a 6L VZ ute, turn key and cranks.. sometimes it doesn’t fire, then second turn of key it’s all sweet. Have replaced ecu before it’s one thing after another atm haha

Thanks man. I bought a vz wagon 2 years ago and am having this issue with it. It just sat in the back for ages. Could it be just dirty or corrosion causing the issue too? Battery went flat on me driving it today and just won’t even run now as I need to replace that so maybe that could also cause the problem?
Great informative video . My car came up with the very low fuel alarm aswell . It had about half a tank of fuel . I could still drive and has started everytime since . I fuelled it up and the alarm hasn't gone off again, Could this be a problem that could arise again ?

I don't know your level of knowledge and skill. So many things can cause a no start. But start with spray some start ya bastard into the air intake and crank to see if it tend to start. If it does you have two issue. Injector not turning on or fuel pump. Now you do need a test light at least to check injector. If it's a 3.6 litre then injectors are under the manifold but the wiring plug is at accessible at the rear of engine but you need to know what you checking. Same with the fuel pump, you need to get to pump and check for power and ground as someone is cranking.
I also think it’s possible that the second hand ecu pim etc may have not been working the person did assure me it was but if I bridge start relay it should fire I assume?

Hi, I have the same problem with a Holden commodore 2005 v8 5.7l. Saw that you saw that it should be the ECU so I got one refurbished and programmed to the VIN, replaced it but the problem still persist. What could be wrong with the car?
My vz ss ute 5.7L has the same issue, I relocated the ecu from the engine bay to the inside of the car and I swapped my ss cluster for a vz club sport cluster aswell, everything is plugged in but car won’t turn over and can’t hear the fuel pump prime or anything happen in the engine bay. Tried bridging the starter and fuel pump and still wouldn’t fire, I’m stuck now and I wouldn’t have a clue on what to do
@@ALLOFTHEBOOST yeah mine had an aftermarket alarm system which placed relays and fuses between the ignition barrel and the bcm, so once the relay and fuse blew there was no communication between the ignition and bcm, I eliminated the alarm system and it’s all good now

Hey m8 I have vz commodore. I've had the same problem with the car not starting when ignition turned to crank and the dash has the same fault codes showing up and I had tried your trick but all heard was the ecu itself ticking and the dash would turn off after a couple of tries of trying to turn the engine.
I have a 2004 VY SS Commodore with an intermittent start issue. Will crank but not turnover. Fault code suggested slip ring, but have replaced slip ring and key and issue remains. Also had ALL modules removed and sent to injectronics in Melbourne. No issue was found with modules/computer. Any suggestions?
@a1mechanicaloakey639 can hear furl pump engage when you turn key. Roadside assist and mechanic tested spark plug and said there was spark. I've asked about injectors but dont think they've been tested
Have you taken it to a mechanic shop? Injector controls needs to be testes with test light while cranking. If that's missing then may be of immobiliser issue.

feel like this could be stupide question but could this cause the motor to seize up completely feel like this could be the problem for me as it just lost power the day i brought it was driving down the highway i didn't thrash it or anything well anymore than u would a car your gonna buy
Seized motor is not related to this video. If you suspect seized motor grab a 19 mm spanner or socket wrench and turn the crank shaft at the balancer. Please make sure the key is out of the ignition before you do this. If motor turns easily with hand then it's not seized motor.

Nothing but big long socket wrench put some pipe extension and wank it both direction with key off. If it doesn't move then something majorly bent internal. Just gotta drag skull the torque converter to seperate engine if not.
Mine is very similar to this, but it will turn over and even make like a metal ting sound and then it randomly starts out off no where literally I just got stuck at a petrol station because I did it to me and then I put some fuel in and I just randomly started lol

I'm getting all the faults near same shit won't start or tick. Tried the starter no luck..now it seems fuses r heating up? Have i fucked the relays? Electrics now r all over the shop..no lights ect. Dash flashing dim..ecu cooked aswell as relays??

If the car wasn't starting when you had that issue and everything else I showed, more than likely it will get worse with time.
You probably need a new fuel tank sender/pump module
will the reset ecu solve the problem

i put a switch in under the dash and connected it to the ignition relay,just remember to start it in park

First figure out you missing spark, fuel, or injector control.

Also swap engine control relay with good known relay too. They common to go bad.

I would say lack of maintenance by previous owner. And I have seen plenty of cases like that. Sorry about that.
