Tool - Forty Six & 2 on guitar
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- Tool の Anima収録のForty Six & 2です。
怪しげでうねるような、リフが独特の曲です。
イントロのクリーンパートのニュアンスを出すのが難しいです。
相変わらずの変拍子でリフのタイミングがつかみずらいです^^;
録音形式、USB経由ライン録音
使用機材、Line6 Pod X3 Live
使用モデリングアンプ、Marshall JCM JCM 2000、mesa boogie Dual rectifer(デュアルトーン使用)
使用エフェクト、フランジャー、ディレイ、ワウ
He plays it exactly like Adam does.
Standing still like a ghost and bullseye accurate.
Kat McCollough Yeah I know! I think it's because Adam uses the same guitar for Tool songs
Nathan Haynes Its his signature Guitar i don't know what Gibson did to make it sound like how it sounds.
As far as I'm aware Adam uses a Les Paul custom from '79, no signature or anything like that. A rig of his I've seen online mentioned two Diezel amps and a Marshall bass amp. any pedals he uses don't really change the tone
@@MERS03 But this guy is using a Chibson, not a Gibson.
Nathan Haynes
He plays it like Adam because he uses the same guitar
What kinda comment is that
The guitar has nothing to do with it?
Thank you very much, this will help my accuracy with air-guitaring to this song!
mrchicken08 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
This vídeo Is From 2009, looks like a Modern Vídeo in 1080p and it's in 360p, The Guitar Is exactly The Gibson Les Paul Silverburst as the Adam Jones Guitar, The Cover Is Amazing, this deserves more views, greatings From Mexico (10,000 days after... Well actually 10,000 days are 27 years or maybe 30 but You get it)
Jones plays a Norlin Era LPC Silverburst with a Seymour Duncan JB bridge pickup primarily
Adam Jones has always said "I'm not a very good guitar player".
Maybe he's not (I think he's fantastic), but he's got to be one of the most unique players to ever walk this earth. The guy's compositions are incredible.
This an incredible cover of it. When my buddy and I play this, we're playing two different octaves. It makes it very dynamic sounding.
One of the best covers I've ever seen you really matched his tone.
How does he get this kind of distortion? it sounds so awesome.
You can look around at some of the equipment that Adam Jones uses. Its really hard to pin it down because in recording he uses a variety of gear including amps, guitars, and pedals.
I assume it's mainly running a Les Paul into a Mesa Boogie.
He blends a Diezel VH4 head and Marshall JCM 800 like amp into a Mesa cab. Thats the core of the tone. He uses the amps natural gain for the distortion.
InfiniGun used your hanr bro to mute
u need two amps : one bass and one guitar. so plug guitar in guitar amp ,then this amp to bass amp. now u do eq - guitar amp: bass 6-7 , mid 9 , treble 5-6 . bass amp : bass 3-4 , mid 8 , treble 5. the main is to take crunch channel at your g.amp and clean channel at bass channel. gain about 9 or 8.5 at guitar amp. i have 8 watt line 6 and 15 watt marshall mb15
best guitar riff in the universe :)
...it may just be! 😉
Best simple guitar riff in the universe, love it but there's definitely better!
Then you should listen to Home by dream theater(scenes from a memory- act 6)
I prefer the bass lines
God that’s the best cover i’ ave seen in a long time
This is so amazing!!! I'm getting fuckin chills listening to this!! Your playing is flawless Silverburst!! You rock and you are the best!
awesome! get that pinky in there man
and middle finger
Are we talking about the playing or something else which is not any less musical but has even more thumping involved ?
@@thewaterbearer6402 😳😳😳
Best one I've seen. I've seen Adam do this a few times. Great use of the wah!
Nice work, I thoroughly enjoyed that.
Am so jelly of your silverburst, dude.
Sounds amazing, better than anyone on youtube. Can't believe you are wearing an in flames shirt of the vitruvian man, you just became one of my favorite guitar players ever lol
That guitar have magical sound!
Man you nailed that wah tone and artificial harmonics in the final chorus. Great job!
legend says he is still standing still.
Amazing cover dude. so clean in between transitions and effects. loved every second of it
Watching a single instrument cover done well always seems to make you think more about the song and what went into each part. Excellent cover! I recommend looking at johnkew's drum cover for this song, as well.
Real nice guitar mate, keep the covers coming.
Nailed it! I;m a drummer, but after hearing that, I'm switching to the guitar. Nice job!!
Here's a suggestion for the creative pick slide at the beginning of the video: if possible, give it a HUGE slightly wet reverb, sustain, and delay and it would sound amazing. If you let a sound like that fade out, its a much better transition. However when you're not using a reverb, its a harsh stop and the silence steps in way too sudden. But still, you did great =) just remember, on a song like this, it'd sound its best with a sustaining reverb
Excellent cover, I learned the entire song from watching this. Great tone, great performance. Thanks a bunch for posting this!
You just gave me the incentive to learn that song...Thanks
Great Job, I've been a fan of that album since it first came out.
dude this sounds amazing!!
It's Tool, try some more you will like.
His power level is over 9000!!!!! Your video is awesome.
Did you get that shirt at maynards winery in page springs?
Excellent work,SilverBurstJune......excellent.
THE BEST COVER I've seen so far!!! NICE!
impressive work with the effects!! sounded awesome!!!!
This is the best cover I have seen, good job.
最高です!
この曲TOOLで1番好きです。
i'm pretty sure he fuckin NAILED the tone of the song, it's perfect dude he even adjusted the pickup volume in the beginning. you might not like that tone, but it is absolutely perfect for covering this song. he nailed the wah part too
When i saw the guitar i knew it was gunna be da real deal
Really sick, i love it.
You should play it with a bass player and a drummer.
I love his 79 Gibson silver starburst custom . I saw a 1980 on ebay brand new all paper work 2k I guest might have to bid
You are fantastic!
I love tool! I'm playing guitar how autodidact by two and Lateralus was my first song played, and i've learned all from yours videos! Now im learning FortySixAndTwo, is awesome!
Nice job man! ;)
Dude, you killed it!
This is pretty good.
Great cover dude! I made one a couple of weeks back but you killed it! I know how tough the timings are etc!! Well done!
Great playing!Love the distortion also.He could of backed off the gain if he wanted. But it didn't muffle any notes that I can tell. And beautiful colour on the Les Paul.
sounds great man...and that is a spectacular guitar
Why the hell do people care that he’s standing still? I don’t get it. Awesome playing though man, you nailed it.
pretty fuggin' awesome
Dude you killed it! that was fuckn sick!!!!
Good Job... I hope I will be able to play it some day
Steven Walsh are you now?
Awesome video!!
So many drum covers...because (obviously). First guitar cover...well done. Can I call you on that phone on the wall?
Nice cover man 👍🏻
Great cover.
As a side note, pity most of Japanese don't know that their fishermans butcher over 20 000 dolphins each year.
Hades Eye what a random fact
Presto569 Gaming
important nonetheless lol
That's exactly what I was about to say.
I’m Japanese but I’ve never heard of that...
Japanese sometimes eat whales not dolphins
don't know how true it is but this song is supposed to be about reaching a higher level of consciousness, for me,TOOL is not a genre but a state of mind - because that is what listening to TOOL is like, every track has this ability to put you in a trance-like state,Riffs that have the serious ability to take control of you - almost Hypnotic...wonder if this is the level of consciousness that TOOL refers to? just listen to Third Eye u'll see what I mean, and Schism and Pushit....
Gotta love the phaser !
nice work man
Pretty darn good fella. It be funny if at the end of this video the camera panned up and it was Adam Jones.
@LightOfEon Wrong... They signed Parabola Vicarious and Schism to Guitar Hero, and they signed 46&2 to the Captain America Trailer... Where have you been?
Excellent cover!
Great job! Love the Gibson too. Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge I bet. Can't get any closer to what Adam is playing brother.
Realy nice cover man!
great cover dude, amazing guitar as well :P
great man, fantastic cover!
thats a beautiful guitar.
sweet shirt. even better wine.
i gave up on guitar a while back, but by hell if this didn't just kick my ass back in
He got into Tool after listening to Schism.
watched all your vids .....flippin awesome
Oh wow thats how its played!!! Open string hammer on power chords ...of course!!! Thank you!!!
You nailed it dude.
Well, they're both walking up and down a minor scale, so they would sound similar in that regard. I still think its a bit of a stretch though.
the harmonics part near the end looks kinduv a lot simpler than i thought lol
nice guitar! thats beautiful!
i enjoyed that...
EPIC dude!! What year is your silverburst?
So, I've been poking around and you've been the closest to nailing the harmonic part at the end.
What the hell is going on there?
Is it just a pinch harmonic that's hard to see people do? Or is it more like system of a downs guy who does the screechy noises?
I only really play acoustic so I'm having trouble figuring out what's happening.
You did well, thanks!
Stephen Suttles by the video it seems like he isnt playing any harmonics and i dont think these frets have those harmonics. My guess is he uses a pedal with some sort of filter with high resonance or a wah wah (notice how he goes a little forward towards the end) and he throws in some 12 fret harmonics in some places
+Stephen Suttles system of a down. I do not hear that name from an ocean of time
+Sean Brogan It's pinch harmonics w/ a wah
+Stephen Suttles I believe the entire last portion of the main riff is all pinch harmonics.....and I believe the whole song is heavily flanged..but I could be incorrect. I use a flange effect when playing the song and it helps, but I have not been able to match the overall tone that he has with this song.
But that could just be because I am not that skilled of a player... I shall be forever learning.
Omen Ahead you can do pinch harmonics anywhere.
Awesome!!!
Beefy sound. Excellent.
Incredible. Well done!
Sounds pretty convincing! :)
Awesome! Where do you get the tracks sans guitar?
you're getting that kind of tone with the pickup switch pointing downward? wtf
i have a les paul...and your tone sounds like the switch pointed upward..
either way, awesome tone...nice job on the cover
Put some fucking rage into it when that guitar comes in bro
Why? His tone has enough rage. Just fucking mashing it for sake of looking furious fucks shit up. You tend to start fretting too hard and pulling everything sharp, over bending, miss picking. and in general sounding like shit. Sound furious, don't be furious.
Actually performing the music is one aspect. Being an entertainer is another aspect and equally important. Real rage vs bodily emphasis is a different thing.
I agree actually. Some aggressive downpicking would add a lot once the main guitar riff comes in.
Dude this guy......this guy is just.........badass simple.
Looks like Adam's guitar! Great job bro. What bridge pickup are you using?
@WhrsTheMoneyLabowski when he shaves he becomes aerodynamic
Muy buen cover felicidades!!!
@SilverburstJun wow =) i'm in love with this cover! no mistakes.. no wonder u can surely replace their guitarist =) wow!! ur truly talented amazing im speechless =) i saw all ur covers i bow down to you! u must be in a band =)
@toxicmonkey66 Tool has not signed their music to anything since 1995. so they will not be on iTunes until further notice (I doubt the "further notice" part will happen)
sick.
That was awesome.
@LightOfEon I've never seen the trailer on TV, and the game didn't ever announce it on TV.
adam jones is certainly from outer space
Yup. It's an affordable version of the same instrument ( Everthing is relative of course ) Like any instrument, tool, vehicle, etc.. It will only sound, work, or perform as well as the person using it. If you don't know how to play the violin a stradivarius will sound like crap no matter how much craftsmanship is put into making it or how much it's worth worth.
timing just a little off a few places... practice makes perfect...
commenting makes troll
+Not Important laughing makes poo
my eclipse 2 isnt half bad, i like it
Beauitiful guitar
Man, that was awesome
I got into Tool by Schism, after becoming a huge fan I came to realize the song that got me into them wasn't near as good as most of their other songs.
from 4:05 when its open it should go
12 0 10 0 13 12 0 12 0 10 0 13 12 0 12 0 10 0 13 12 0 12 0 10 0 13 12 !!0 12 0!! and then it goes PM but then its without 0 12 0 at the end.
Its a bit fucked up because when the drums come in, bass and drums go one way an guitar goes other way :)
but great cover no less.
Exactly and he also misses the low e in between the d string solo at 4:59. Much easier to play the way he did it. Sounds cool but needs that low e in between notes
I meant open d not low e. My bad
great job man
