Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! This game has so much depth of mechanics and so many ways to approach it, I just love figuring out the strategies for these runs. Absolutely a pleasure putting these together!
Thanks for the content! On top of that your narrative style is clear and intriguing, really think you have a lot of potential. look forward to more of your vids
I'm happy to hear that! I definitely have more videos I want to make, but I'm in the process of moving so things are a little busy now and likely will continue to be after I finish, but I definitely won't stop making videos! The frequency just may diminish. Of course, I'll definitely be back for Dragon's Dogma 2 as well!

Arguably much harder, since in dark souls you get used to the I frames of rolling and rng of attacks, but in DD it's way too random haha and you can get hit by weird shit very easily
Great run! Love how laid back it feels. I learned a lot of new wisdom on how the isles work. I will see the run in its entirety as I go. I'm on my first playthrough of the game. Seeing these bosses get absolutely melted into milkshake feels great from all the troubles they gave felt fresh. Just realised apart from the elder troll dude, I got all the bad rolls on my run up until the Archbishop of Canterbury. lol I just defeated him now, it was an surmountable task that ate the whole afternoon on a level 50 character. What was originally a strider and Mystic Knight for cosplay reasons. Dragon spit and throw bombs help a lot in the fight. I'll give assassin-magic archer a shot. Thanks for making my evening! Cheers!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I love Bitterblack Isle so seeing someone get interested makes me happy. Just a note. The very first time you go through BBI is different from every run after you complete it the first time because it has specific room configurations it always uses (with few exceptions). Once you complete it once is when it enters the configurations that I talk about in the video. That being said, the strategies I employ still do work to some extent because the enemies aren't new, just in different locations. I hope you enjoy pushing through it though! Bishop is my favourite fight so if you made it through him you're doing alright!
@@LocalTicoBroje It's great places to just run through. I see its appeal. Fast pace, great enemy placement, challenging every run. Went to upgrade the Chaos set, ended up staying for story and enemies. lol I was suprised when I saw your run. I thought it was similar for everyone, enemies felt like health sponges, until I realised it was I that was the problem. As for configurations, I didn't even know you could see the undead priests twice before the Bishop fight. To know it changes after every clear, is good news. It was challenging but never unfair...yet. I had even more trouble fighting the eye. Seeing you absolutely obliterate its health was a sight for sore eyes. I was questioning my whole character. lol I did do a lot of saving and tactically retreating to get to the Bishop. I think I'll level up, push on to the next boss. I'm glad you enjoyed it and that you are playing the game! Bitterblack is definitely daunting the first time. But it actually is different the first run through versus every subsequent one. So I'd say if you have finished the main story and gotten the weapon reward you're ready!
So do you have a video of a first run through? I'm kinda stuck I've opened up the first shortcut but there's a door that needs a void key to open that I can't figure out where it is
btw just before damion between the final enemies and the door there are 2 skeletons that have a very high chance of giving rift crystals so its one of the best places to get them in that room. i would say 90% rift crystals and 10% skulls.
@@Yatagarasu2001 hi yatagarasu! Yeah. I haven't been streaming/making videos. I moved and got a new job which I'm really enjoying, but also keeps me very busy. I hope they capture that well this time.
Acuity is an augment learned as a sorcerer. You have to raise the sorcerer vocation rank up to a certain point. I don't remember how high, but I would guess around rank 8.
Thought magic attack had no effect on your petma enchanted weapons, the magic attack of the enchanted weapon being the only source of damage. It stacks?
Honestly, i think it depends on the ability you are using. Your actual attacks FEEL like they are a bit stronger with this much magic compared to other times where I've used them without. Especially fighting magick weak goes, like ghosts or P2 Living Armor. But really I'd have to really study numbers and so on, because it NOT working was what I expected and thought would happen.
So yes, it is hard mode. But the spawns do not change for that. The reason my spawns are different is because after you beat BBI the first time you can go through again and get different spawns. The first playthrough is always the same, but after the first, each room has 2 different spawns configurations it randomizes. This only becomes the case after you beat the boss of the entire dungeon though.
It's mostly just having the strongest weapons/good augments. But for assassin, there is a trick where you can use the force hatchet which stacks damage as you hit things so long as you aren't hit yourself. When it is stacked it is very strong. The best part is, it allows you to use the bow as an assassin with the sword equipped and it'll buff the bow damage. That's why some of the attacks are stronger than normal.
I love making new characters every time. So few games let us change individual eyes that sometimes it seems like we have to play with that feature just to justify it! It looks awesome too!
Hahaha, Assassin is pretty strong, but I actually like Sorcerer a bit more. And in fact I find it a bit easier to use, even though you have to stand still to cast. Sorcerer just requires a bit more knowledge and prep since you need to know elemental weaknesses, whereas assassin has a somewhat linear idea of what is strong.
