How do you align DIFFERENT SIZE HOLES that you want to punch. Ex. a dashboard with two rows of gauges and different size gauges? If there's a video or info. on the web to show how let me know. Thanks.
if you hooked these up to a small pull ram with a hand hydraulic pump, it would make using them even easier. Also, on the exhaust expander deal, Lisle makes a great kit that will swage the pipe via impact. You could probably rig a ram up to it to.
That's a neat tool, those holes look really good and clean. Functional too! As for that Chinese stuff, it's hard to mock it, tbh. Sure it's often stupid cheap, but they can do direct copies quite well. Sloppy Mechanics is making almost 1100 ponies on a Chinese turbo.
I have a great big box of them somewhere in my basement or my garage I haven't been able to find them and it's really ticking me off. So much so that I'm making a 50-ton press at this very moment
what size is that bolt? This is similar to a knockout cutter... but they come with a hardened steel bearing that makes it last longer and much easier to turn. Greenlee Knockout set... I got one I will send you if it is the same size bolt.(The Bearing , Electrician here so I keep spares)
Thanks for replying! You are really motivating this old ,Fat, Arse and getting me to go out in the barn and build stuff....Life saving....Thanks again! My 67 C 10 will be done this time next year and I would like to meet up with you at a car show in SC somewhere!
There is a cie called Green Lee, dedicated to electrical duties that sells the same kind of punches, mainly to make holes in electrical entrance where you have the breakers,,,,
why dont they use these punch and die tools on the firewalls of cars ? would make running wires much better i would have thought but maybe there is something i was missing
Can't be first, but I'm next! 🙋S' up, Kyle? Enjoyed the demo, sir. Good stuff. I giggled at your "last week's debacle" comment. That's alright... it happens sometime. I think it's very upstanding of you to worry about it enough to make it right though. 👍Yet another reason the people love you, man! This fool will see you tomorrow. Take care.
hey man keep up the awesome videos. what are the two dimples dies you used on that test sheet. i got a 71 duster project and want to use them for the roll cage, kinda like what you see in your gtr drift video.
Love the look of a panel dressed like this. Saw all the dimpled panels on the cage of that GTR in your last shop feature and had all sorts of ideas!
+JWhitman yeah they will come in handy on the bibbster build
Do the holes get bigger after it flares?

Could this also be used without the flare piece, to use as just a hole punch?

shhhhh......thats the plans for next week ;)
Hello,if i want a 60mm hole once the edges are folded down, should i drill at 55mm?
That's a neat tool, those holes look really good and clean. Functional too!

Yeah I have seen people do crazy stuff on the cheap stuff
I use the punch and bead style. Great for radiator mounts or fan shrouds . many other projects.

Can you help advise how to flare a 12 inch pipe (18 gauge).

I plan to try and combine it with a hydro knock out setup
