- Pavlov has been an icon in the VR scene as one of the Best VR Games to play. Unfortunately the PC side has fallen a bit under the radar due to the love being shown to Shack with no crossplay compatibility with the Quest side. I hope to see this game one day rise to greatness the way it had been years ago, as it still stands as one of the Best VR Titles!

You gotta let me know the next Pav sesh! Pavlov is the VR game that got me started with VR and Ill always have a love for it.
I have the game on my quest and I wish for more people to come and enjoy it, it is way to good to die off
Pavlov WAS great. and then the devs nuked mod support, modders stopped caring, players stopped caring as a result of no content. it has the same plague VRChat does where it lives and dies by player created content. vrchat is popular because its free and you can choose to do nothing and still have a good time. pavlov was great because you could play just about any map from any game with many popular game modes without having to buy a separate game for different experiences.
If only they had implemented crossplay between shack and PC. I think it genuinely would have had such a greater community if that play was made. Also when they nuked all the player created content on the steam workshop is when I felt it really took a hit. Granted Mod iO is better in the long run, but it should have only made the full switch if standalone/PC crossplay was the vision
@@AwakenToast im not familiar with "shack" is that a quest/psvr thing? idk im a pcvr guy never owned a meta headset or psvr before. sure the updated engine and gore physics was a nice touch. other shooters on the market took the stand for a while and with a limited player base as it is, its hard to keep a community big enough for any 1 game. Pavlov is still a lot of fun dont get me wrong prob my fav shooter. was low-key expecting a showdown vid so this was exciting.
@@RandoReign And don't worry man I'm still a HUGE contractors fan. I personally would have Contractors/Showdown above Pav, but running some lobbies on here is definitely a good time too. This was one of the first ever games I played when I got my original VR headset

@@AwakenToast does shack have all the maps and decent graphics? I was under the impression that shack doesnt have the big fun beautiful maps we have on PC and PS5.

I miss playing on huge maps with the push gamemode on pavlov, I really want the player base to come back and play it again one day...
player base is still there they just arent playing those maps anymore. Playing Autumn on Push mode is lots of fun, its a smaller map but very well done.

@@justaspectator8932 Im going to attempt to revive push with modern day battles on a custom server, im even trying to make my own map for it because Im with you bro. it was a lot of fun. we shall revive it soon

Really feel like Pavlov COULD have been a very good Counterstrike VR if they just focussed on the competative side of all of it.
Are you planning on doing another community day? Pavlov would be a great game to play for it.

As someone without a VR headset (right now), my understanding is, the PCVR version of Pavlov lost it's workshop support. Until that comes back. Killing hundreds, if not thousands of User Generated maps/modes/content in general.
Until it's restored, something tells me it's going to continue to die in favor of people moving to Contractors VR.

If only people took VR gaming more serious, I don’t think the competitive scene is there for vr fps games to thrive yet sadly, tabor is the only hope of reaching the mass population lol

the gunplay in the game still feels the best out of all the Multiplayer VR shooters I have played so far tbh.

Pavlov was never free. Shack WAS when it was in BETA.

Pavlov is not dying on PC bro, lots of people on PS5 and PC playing every day with lots of full lobbies. At noon on a wednesday theres 173 people online right now on steam, this doesn't count Ps5.

@AwakenToast oh when you have time or when your house is fixed can you continue the blade and sorcery series
Doesn't do anything better than what else is available.
Contractors does arcade better, and Breachers does team objective better.
I used to LOVE Pavlov, back on the og Vive and Rift days, but better games have come along, and between that, the Devs dropping the ball and custom game modes like TTT and Zombie crap dominating the server list and driving players away. There realy is very little point in Pavlov
let this game die please they dont really update this game at all thats why people are going to contractors because they update the game alot and they even made a new game showdown because it did good and getting more players and has better modes too and quest people can play the mode too without a pc.
