- Ok, so I plan on going camping with my motorcycle in Eureka Springs. I first have to have a trial run to make sure that I can do this. I'm no spring chicken so this is going to be a challenge for me. I'm doing it all by myself...no help from anyone. Yep, a personal challenge. So, here I go.. you get to watch my struggles.. and my joys... I’m hoping to encourage older motorcycle riders to get out and travel. You can do it!
It was so hot at the campground, I went to Pere Marquette Park in Illinois. Very nice campground, very clean. I brought my Harley Hydra Glide with me, such a great motorcycle. This is day one, I stayed 2 nights... as an older lady with a heavy motorcycle it was quite a challenge to move it out of the trailer. Any suggestions? I have a winch so maybe that would help.

Try feathering the clutch with constant throttle to go up ramp instead of feathering the throttle 😎

Don't turn the handlebars when using front brake going real slow. Ron
Raise the front of the trailer. Also makes the ramp a little less of a steep angel.

I hope so. When I got home I raised the front jack so that it’s tilted a bit backward. That seemed to help

Good on you ! Couldn't see if you were doing it, but to make it easier backing up the bike , squeeze front brake ,shift your weight onto front of bike compressing forks then release brake as you push backwards . You can actually move the bike backwards uphill with this technique, which comes in handy if ever you find yourself mistakenly pulled into a parking space nose in sloping downward ..
I was doing a form of this… lol… I was able to inch it out. I’d push, hold break and then do it again. Next time I might bring my winch… I figured out how to turn my winch on with a remote control switch. Thanks for watching.
