I used to edit Call of Duty videos on Sony Vegas or After Effects 7/8 years ago, now I'm starting a new project and it's INCREDIBLE to see the progress of this world. Editing now it's so chilling.
Absolutely true about transitions, when you begin you just slap it on every time possible. Once you get more accustomed to editing you use them only when they enhance the video. The simpler the better and less is more
So glad I found this video. It took Joris 8 minutes to thoroughly explain these features. Other tutorials take up to an hour, and you don't learn nearly as much. Thanks!
the fact that your so spot on with the video and details and getting to straight to the point and not stalling the details makes this video so good!! big thumbs👌
i used Adobe Premiere/After Effects before but I was blown away by CAPCUT. This is a software that knows how to keep up with the modern world. And the FREE version is out of this world amazing. Keep it up! ❤
Of all the video editors that I've tried, CapCut has the most intuitive approach to keyframes (plus the time-saving auto-captions feature) and I now enjoy editing even more because of it. 😂
@@JorisHermans hey, lets say i have a video and i want to put an image on top of it (so a second layer) is there a way to only affect that second layer with effects ? cause rn if i put a blure effect or filter or what ever over everything, both get affected but i only whant the image to be affected, how?

Joris, your 2 videos on CapCut are first-rate! What is your suggestion for a workpath to jump a video back & forth between an Android and a Windows PC to take advantage of the features in both CapCut and DaVinci Resolve? For example, auto beat-marking in CapCut looked awesome at 4:04 in your other video, and magic mask is incredible in DVR. What is the best way to take advantage of both programs?
Awesome video bro! But, everyone keeps saying it is FREE but it is not, it used to be free but now you can only use some of the features for free. For example, I used captions last week, when I was exporting it, it told me that it was a PRO feature and didn't export it. I ended up buying it for 75 dollars for a year. But to be honest, I think it's worth it! One thing that I hope they will add is that it cuts the video by each beat automatically so that I can apply different transitions and effects. Currently, you have to manually split the video. No big deal for short videos but time consuming for long ones. And also I wished it would have an option to add the same transition on all split-videos automatically. Anyway, keep up the good work!
First of all, thanks for the comment! 🙏🏻🔥 but I don't understand... I just updated to the latest FREE version, used auto captions on a 10-minute video and exported in 4K without any problems. Are you using the mobile version or desktop? 🤔
@@lalamurray1777 I didn't compare them side by side but I know some mobile features are not on the Desktop version, even if you paid for the pro. But I think they are trying to match them. There were some features that were not available on the Desktop but now they are.
@@lalamurray1777 it really depends if you feel the need for those pro futures. I would download the free version play around with it and if you feel like you would like to experience with the pro futures then I would consider it. I’m pretty happy with it. Hi Josh. Really learn a lot from your videos and you explain them simply which makes them easier to follow. One thing that really bugs me about capcut is this. When in play back mode, if you have the timeline clips expanded out to do some finer editing, the playback cursor doesn't continue, so the timeline is static, meaning I have to pause, play, pause etc to keep getting to the next part of the timeline. All other editing software I use, all move the timeline along. Did you know why capcut doesn't? Otherwise, great video as usual. ATB. Martin.
