ICOM revealed a NEW "concept" at Dayton Hamvention 2024, currently known as the X60 concept.
I spoke with ICOM America Senior Sales Manager Ray Novak, N9JA, about this exciting upcoming radio announcement, expected to be made in a few months at the Tokyo Ham Fair.

That would be cool, but I don't think it is an anniversary radio. maybe a SDR radio with an automatic antenna tuner that can do as high as a 4:1 swr. The PA board looked like is was naked. I wonder if the final amp is on the RF board?

Great reference to the "Matrix Series"! 🤣🤣🤣 Maybe "Fight Club" could be a reference to the great SWR and achieving a 1.0:1 SWR with a magical antenna that tunes itself to the resonance of the center of any band! 🤣🤣🤣
I wish they'd bring out a replacement for the ic-706Mk.IIG or a IC-7000 or like an anniversary edition of the 7300 a 7300PRO would be great! but something that regular hams could afford and new hams would want and able to afford. Looks like they just don't care. "Here take this box of circuit boards - keep 'em guessing " bummer!
I agree with what you said, any of those would be great but a $14,000 radio, they can get out of here with that, honestly that goes for $5000 too for me.
Still doesn't tell us anything except that Icom is coming out with something new, and nothing about what that "something" is.
