Here in Quebec, dump truck drivers still deny that there is any difference between being a heavy vehicle driver and a NASCAR racer. Yup, Vive le Québec libre!
Corporations import desperate labourers. They dont need to be competent they need to be compliant. This is the society we asked for with our cheap goods and mcmansions.

Today's dump truck collision.
Police/government should focus on where the drivers get licensed. Too many outfits selling licenses “out of cereal boxes”.
We now have 3rd world truck drivers in what was a 1st world country.

They said the driver went into medical distress. Possibly had the medical distress which caused the collision.

MTO and police need to open their eyes. I see it on a daily basis truck drivers upset with eachother driving recklessly and speeding. Licencing is also a joke and most will pay to get their licenses illegally. On another note has anyone noticed school bus drivers driving like nascar drivers?😡

A lot of heavy trucks and transport drivers are the menace on our roads. I see truckers doing pretty scary things on the 401 all the time.
And I see 4-wheelers doing even stupider and scarier things ALL THE TIME!!!!

We should consider to lobby our provincial goverment to reduce the speed limit on trucks to 80KPH on the 401 and QEW. The cause of these accidents is speed. if they are limited to 80KPH, they will be propely line up on the right side of the highway. Michigan has this.
And then what?

Reducing the speed limit is not the answer according to a study by the insurance bureau of canada. They say that the main cause of accidents is from driver error, such as failure to yield right of way, incorrect lane change, following too close, distracted driving.

Have you seen what happens when a 4-wheeler doing 140kph crash into the back of a big truck because they misjudged their speed and distance?? Its not pretty...just saying as I have been on the road for close to 30 years driving truck...
