Dude you are absolutely not alone with the ps stream lag. When i had that shit, it damn near made the second game unbeatable for me. I did beat it but holy fuck it actually made it not fun on some parts, and i unfortunately must buy 1 internet plan from 1 provider in my area, so i couldnt really even change that part.

Nah gow 1 has better ambientation, story, diffculty, better puzzles and better platforming than 2
I might not know fully yet cuz i haven't played the newer God of War games beyond 1-3 and Chains of Olympus . Honestly from all the reviews, streams i've seen imo the originals vibe with me most. But i think from what i've seen they all have weight and are expertly crafted. I like the OG trilogy because the puzzles are the HARDEST i've ever experienced .
Hey Mati, that "Rage Room" section is known to be notoriously difficult in GOW. For speedruns, it's actually considered the "run killer" LOL. Don't feel too bad about all the deaths! You should be proud you made it through the adversity of Spartan Mode (up until the end tho LOL). Enjoy your vacay man!

If you feel bad putting it on easy mode, think about this. You did it when kratos had become more than a mortal so life kinda became easy mode around the time you switched it lol

Although you have not completed the last challenge in full hard mode and that has been a bit disappointing, I think it is appropriate for you to enjoy this game incredible ending, you have completed enough in hard mode for the title of the God Of War. You can destroy Ares and Ox statue at Olympus. Btw congrats and i knew somehow that part would be the turning point to go easy mode lol. Warned you since chapter 1😂 amazing series cant wait for this and Devil May Cry should be a MUST, it invented this pure hack n slash genre.

One thing I could say about GoW 1 is that regardless of the difficulty setting, the game would always pull some stunt to make you question your sanity level for keeping on pushing through to the end!

Re. GoW2...I advise *not* playing on the hardest difficulty right off the bat, because it messes with enemy placements and some quicktime events to the point that even veterans of the franchise have problems beating some areas. Start with Normal, and if that feels too easy you can always bump up the difficulty later.
So did they add an option to change difficulty in gow2 im nearly done with my playthrough of the first one and spartan has felt good for most of the game but it started feeling nearly impossible at some parts near the end of the game. Overall tho i wouldnt want to reduce the difficulty level for the whole game.
This episode is a complete banger. Man, even I felt the pain. That last fight was nerve wrecking. I just kept screaming at my phone for you to use the souls. Gynormous brain. Enjoy your break, brother. You really need and deserve it, after all you've been through. Don't worry about us, we're just getting stoked for the next chapter. Also, you're right, this is a 10/10 game in all aspects.

And I’m ESPECIALLY looking forward to you playing God of War 3. Definitely the most violent of the GOW games in my opinion.
Edit: Also, I recommend playing Chains of Olympus, and Ghost of Sparta also. They were PSP titles, but they got ported to the PS3 and are also incredible games, with Chains of Olympus being my favorite of the 2.
I would recommend playing ‘Ascension’ too, though I will say that it’s a little weaker than the other games, but still a pretty good game.
That last level on Hard Mode was ridiculous. Don’t blame you at all.

Not realy dude. Gow 2 has some quality of life changes but other aspects not great as Gow 1.
Gow 3 Realy good at almost every aspect but story. Also They ruined Kratos personality .
This was a a great series to watch! I was sick I’m bed and this got me through! So much nostalgia from playing as a kid. Can’t wait for you to play the 2nd one.

This is a deep game.
What I find deepest of all is that the enemy you have the most difficulty defeating; the hardest single part of the game; the part that tests you the most; the enemy you end up hating the most - your worst enemy... is yourself. 🤯
This is one of my favorite games I have ever played and I'm so happy you got to take the journey and enjoyed it! You did great on this playthrough and honestly that's how a lot of us kept dying is on those same parts and in those same ways. I love going back and playing this over and over because every time I find new stuff I didn't know was there that the developer hid so well. This is my go to game for when i'm pissed off and need to let off some steam. Hope it helps you with that and many others as well. You actually inspired me to play trough these games again and i`m streaming second one right now. It`s crazy, brutal and much more interesting and complex than first one! I'm so excited that you get to experience this game for the first time. EDIT: I`m watching you suffer in the rage room and I did it on easy mode and still died there. And yes sometimes button presses in QTE-s just dont register and blocks also. Streaming is pain but no another way to play these games on PS5 sadly.

Probably the best playtrough I've watched on youtube.
I played first 2 gow on streaming too. First one I started on hard and had to restart it on normal later cause easy it's not fun.
Second one I Don't actually remember the difficulty I choosed but I know that I gave up due to streaming... Horrible, will never do it again. I found out today that I quitted really in the end of the game so I might comeback just to end it.
Btw play on normal really... It's much funnier to watch you playing on hard but I don't recommend it to anyone. I started 3rd one on hard and was the worst thing I could have done. I ended up changing to easy in the middle of the game and it wasn't fun. Just go on normal... I always chose the hardest difficulty unless there's no way to reduce it during the game. You're my favorite youtuber from now on. Found you through Shadow of Colussus which I beaten 2 weeks ago. Actually found it funny how you passed that one on normal which is kinda easy and much funnier in the hard difficulty.

I've find the best order to play these games and understand kratos is GOW Ascension, Chains of Olympus, Ghost of Sparta, GOW2 and 3, 2018GOW, Ragnorock and Valhalla.

Quick edit: tbh i always consider that last fight as 2 phases but phase 1&3 is aries and phase 2 is kratos (dark side) so to me at least you did defeat aries n 99% of the game on Spartan difficulty

I haven't watched the complete video yet but I want to say that I'm happy you started playing the first GOW before the others because lots of people like to skip the originals and watched their story in a summary video. I'm also glad you are liking the game and can't wait to see you play GOW 2 & 3, and hope you'll see at least a reaction video about the spinn-off games.
In second note, you improved a lot through out the playthrought even if it got difficult at times. I will still recommend you to play the other games in hard difficulty because they are not as unforgiving as the first one, so you can do it.

1:41:58 that's actually a funny thing about this game, devs kinda didn't balance the magic damage for the first game, so you deal the same for every difficulty, the damage magic do on easy mode, is the damage it do on very hard mode, that's why magic feels so OP, it's because IT IS OP!!!
I suspect the first episode of the next series will also be this long haha
The leap in graphics and gameplay will hit you like dozens of Kratos in a temple in space, and you won't be able to stop!
