I think Street Smart deserves an honorable mention, because "Karate Man" is such a perfect dead ringer for Takuma Sakazaki, aka "Mr. Karate." He even wears an orange gi in the Sega console port, and who else but a Sakazaki would do that? Finally, in the ending he runs off with a blonde American woman, which is what he did in his youth in Art of Fighting. SNK has never officially acknowledged the connection as far as I know, but the game is so light on story and details that there's really nothing stopping it from being part of the timeline if they wanted it to.
Thank you for watching and same here! Ryo is just a sick character. Give him his Buriki One costume or his look from Fatal Fury: Wild Ambition, I don't care. Just put my boy in lol.
Pretty good video, but I dunno how long Savage Reign and Kizuna Encounter will stay canon. I do smell some retcons happening as it's just the case for fighting game lore.
With Terry and Mai’s presence in Street Fighter 6 and Ken Masters and Chun Li’s presence in City of the Wolves… would street fighter be considered part of this shared universe or am I just over thinking this
3 bout count is part of the fatal fury timeline as they made concept art of the wrestlers wrestling with fatal fury (most notably Raiden), as for where it fits in? I have no clue whatsoever.I know you aren't counting KOF as its own timeline but the game also exists in the King of Fighters timeline too as KOF15 has a 3 bout count stage where two of the playable characters are npcs on it
It is. I already mentioned CotW when I talked about Mark of the Wolves. However I didn’t talk about it too much considering that the game isn’t out yet.

Fun video! Also, Ryo's Buriki One art honestly goes so hard. I hope he shows up in City of the Wolves with that design eventually

Loving the SNK retrospective video! Good stuff Freelancer!
I’m glad you enjoyed it. I got more videos in the queue so stay tuned!

unless that they plan on making a furistic fighter, Savage Regin may be good where's it at.
