The hospital has suspended her from her job. Hospitals, nation-wide, are facing a nursing shortage. I hope nurses choose not to work for this hospital, or in this city. I think it's mostly 2 things.
1. Constantly thinking about power structures, and analysing every single incident as if it must be part of these power structures, instead of just something that happened. The idea of an overarching narrative manifesting itself in every minor detail of every day life becomes so strong that they simply forget to simply look at the situation logically.
2. TYT in particular has a lot of experience in the business; know what their viewers want, and they are desperate to deliver it. They also know that if it turns out they are wrong, they just drop the story into the memory hole, and their fans will never call them out. In this case though, it seems they didn't just drop it, but are also deleting some of their videos on this, i am assuming because they want to avoid defamation lawsuits.

Just to let people know. A physician's assistant isn't a nurse. She is a full medical provider and is able to write prescriptions, made medical decisions, and order/read lab and imaging. The training is also pretty intensive requiring a masters degree.

When I saw the title of this video my blood pressure went up, I clicked on it ready to go off on whoever is calling her a Karen. I was relieved to see it was the opposite of what I thought it was. I hope her defamation case is successful and she is awarded a large sum.

In these situations, if the story was just told to someone without knowing the skin color of anyone involved, it would have never become national news. If anything, even the crazies would have defended the lady in this situation. But without labels, only morals stand, and lately, we barely have morals.

As an American who happens to be Black, I sympathize with white Americans. Actions like the "Central Park Karen" story (the asshole brought dig treats and was calling her dog over. I mean what woman, regardless of color, wouldn't be freaked out by that?) or this incident, along with countless others will surely result in more tension and hatred between the races. And nearly everytime it seems that these race hustling pimps are jumping to foolish conclusions. I am truly heartbroken by this destructive cycle.
I think the media blows up the few cases they can find to make it seem epidemic but in reality it's not really common. They just doing to demoralize people and make em lose hope. You can't beat a few 100 million people but you can get em to beat themselves from within.

This is crazy, here in London, there are literally thousands of pregnant nurses, by themselves, after a long shift, attempting to rob groups of black youths on the streets. I’m not gonna lie, we crossed the street to avoid her. I don’t know what she’s capable of. There were 5 black youths on the other side of the street, and they ended up mugging us, but I’m ok with that because they probably just needed food for their family. 1) The reports on these will get a lot more traction, than the apologies.
2) The reports will be 50x the air time as the apology, so less people will see it.
3) The people reporting these things will never face any type of punishment for this, that outweighs the money, expanded views, and popularity, they got from posting the original hoax.

Why she shouldn't have "fought harder":
1. She is a woman. Woman are not as physically strong as men, especially young men. They stand no chance against 5 young men. People these days seem to have no sense of how vulnerable women are in the face of that. She could be seriously hurt.
2. She is pregnant. That means her fetus would be in danger.
3. Because of the political climate right now she could be charged with assault. Recall the parking garage worker who was shot at by a man with a gun and because he managed to wrest the gun from the attacker and shoot him in self defense, he was the one that ended up in jail while they let the other guy go free.

These are young healthy guys fighting over an electric bike with a pregnant woman. The second he docked the bike, his ride was over. You'll see guys in NYC hanging out on e-bikes at the docks not willing to let others check them out. There could have been other bikes available, but of course any tired person would go for the e-bike as this pregnant woman did rather than the standard one.
