  • from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who helped me. currently as I'm writing this, I have not made a personal donation to the groomer association who saved me, I want to be able to donate more then a couple dollars. I just wanted to be honest and say I haven't YET! but I will be sometime next week the second I get paid. with that being said, make sure to support your local groomers, they do a lot to make those trails possible and deserve all the credit they can get.
I will not sit here and give excuses, just make sure you watch this ENTIRE video to understand the circumstances before you judge. we're all human.

Hey Becca. I’m not sure if this would help you but I use Gaia app and it can really help with winter roads, public trails etc. you can download maps for offline use. Also does your truck have Apple play or the android version? If not then a simple phone mount would put your screen within easy viewing not requiring you to look down

Becca, we have all done things that we kick ourselves over. There are things that when I think about them even 20 years later, I still kick myself. Think of it this way and this is what I always remind myself of. If we went through life without making any mistakes or doing anything foolish, then we wouldn’t have anything to learn from. So every time you want to kick yourself just ask yourself, “Did I learn anything from it?” Absolutely nobody is perfect and if they think they are then they are someone to keep an eye on. Keep your chin up. You really didn’t do anything all that bad. It is what it is. You were in a strange area and made a wrong turn. It could have been much worse.

Becca, seriously, don't beat yourself up about it. I have done the same things over my years. Gotten stuck, gotten a work truck stuck miles from help, followed gps directions way off road to someone's house instead of the boat ramp i was supposed to go to. (That last one wasn't even that long ago!) 😆 I definitely learned from each of those, as i'm sure you did. And no one should give you any grief! Everyone does the same kind things, but most won't admit it, let alone film it and share it online!!! I was glad to see you pulled over when you were tired. That's something i almost learned the hard way. Thanks for posting and sharing! It takes a lot of guts to show when things go wrong. Put it behind you and look to new adventures. I just recently started following you, due to the tiny house....I love all things tiny house related :)
When I saw this video title, I was sure u were going to say something horrible happened and destroyed your tiny house.....(so glad I was wrong).
As far as your turning on a wrong road and missing a sign.....
I think u are being way too hard on yourself. Im a home health, travel nurse....meaning I not only drive to different states and areas that Im not familiar with.....But once Im there, I drive to people's homes all over these unfamiliar areas. I am occasionally paid for being lost...lol
So its not hard for me to easily imagine your experience and how u accidently ended up on a wrong road, or a "snow mobile only road", (which I am not familiar with either) especially in those conditions.
I truly believe it could have happened to anyone.
I also understand the stress of driving while trying to listen to and trust a map that u arent feeling confident about what it is telling you to do, (because they often can be wrong and have been known to land people in very dangerous and even life threatening situations).
Plus, I totally get the added stress of people being inpatient and honking from behind you, when you are already in an unsure situation.
It can be extremely stressful and I now try to practice a little more patience with others because of it. Im so glad that super nice people helped you out of a bad situation. Hats off to them!
And my only advice would be what my husband always fusses at me about, which is (if u dont already) to maybe always have a good old fashion paper map on hand and utilize it whenever you are in doubt.
Im glad you are okay. And good for you for sharing something that you found embarrasing.
But honestly, what happened to you, I truly do not think is so shocking, or says anything negative about you whatsoever.
I know with social media there are some who seem to live to attack with their almighty keyboard, from the saftey of their screen.
But I would give them no mind and just keep doing you!!
Best of luck with your future adventures.

I lived very remotely a few years back and one of my friends came over for a few days. Snow, warm up, hard freeze and then she decided to drive home in that mess. Long story short, she got stuck and walked back for an hour. We had to drive back to her vehicle to get her stuff and cat out of her car before it froze. She was in her 40’s. Sooooo…. Hey. As much as you think you’ll get ugly comments I for 1 would rather see the difficulty it takes than to see a perfect trip. I like the mistakes and miscalculations because it’s real and can happen to anyone.. keep doing what you love and I’ll be here to cheer you on…thank you

I did mention on your previous video. Should of left it on your trailer. I had a feeling it was going to be an adventure trying to get it off the lake. God bless that you had some people to help u.
I'm glad the other person got out of the lake.

Yo Becca, Shit happens. It's called life. I prefer this over the alternative. Those groomers are badass. You will always find people willing to help. Shake It off. It's part of the adventure. Brand new subscriber here from Mid Michigan. You bet I've been stuck in the snow even on a snowmobile. Been there done that

Don't beat yourself up. It is what it is! And there was actually some good that came from it.
    1) You learned a valuable lesson. Pay attention to details. Not having a road sign up should have been a clue that you might not want to turn there. Also, you wouldn't have missed the "trail" sign. But that is done.
    2) You, and your audience, got to see the GOOD nature in all those people who helped you. Take the energy from that and a) let it lift you up, and b) pay it forward when you get the chance.
When things get difficult or frustrating, remember that good, those good people, and let that empower you. Try to remember, the more you overcome, the stronger you ARE! :)

Dang...yeah, we all have bad days, but I hope this experience makes you better prepared for the elements you challenge yourself with. Chain's, a wench, sand or some floor mats to throw under your tires for traction next time you get stuck. Lol, maybe better tires. Glad you're safe and you do have pretty good adventures 🧡😊

    Accidents happen
Everything happens for a reason and maybe that reason for u was that u met n found out theres still good ppl out there....
90% of ppl would say u did everything exactly right, u called for help n go the task done without any no harm.....if u dont make mistakes u cant learn anything!!!!
Its just a milestone in ur life thats all this was.... keep on getting at it n dont give up....
Love the videos becca keep them coming

Hey Becca, don't beat yourself up. People have done a lot worse. The important thing is that you got through it safely. Thank you for sharing everything, the good, the bad, and the ugly. We are all human. You are one brave chick to be doing what you do. The best advice is learn from the mistake, dust yourself off and get back the "horse." You got this girl. I told you, we got you. Enjoy your time with Lila and your fur babies.

Question from a non-snow person… would Maxtrax have helped? Any of those trees strong enough to winch off if you had one? You guys have such heavy rigs!
