Even though at that point in time Glenn struggled live , he was more than able to deliver in the studio. To me some of his best was around that time , Sabbath’s Seventh Star, the two Phenomena albums and his work on Gary Moore’s Run For Cover.
Its really impressive how one musician get be perfect and shine in all feats phases and songs he choice singing with your way peculiar and unique of fulled the stage with your amazing presence love this song so heavy and powerful
AMAZING VOICE AS USUAL .........HOWEVER, he is now...what maybe 65 years old ??? AND.......he ....sounds BETTER than he ever Did !!!! So much power......TONE.......RANGE.....amazing. BEST SINGER IN THE WORLD TODAY...2016 - NO ONE CAN TOUCH HIM.
If you watch this and then watch any Black Country Communion vid, you just cannot believe it is the same man singing. Hands down to Glenn for stop doing drugs.
He dosnt even look like Glenn Hughes here, I dunno how he went from the 70s deep purple Glenn and then today's Glenn with this in the middle, 70s and now you can clearly see and hear the same person but this in the vid is something else.
Hear, hear! If you watch the 'Phoenix Rising' DVD (where Glenn Hughes and the late Jon Lord discuss the Mk IV line-up of Deep Purple and its subsequent demise), Glenn talks openly about his cocaine addiction and how it affected his behaviour/performance. During the interview you can detect his hatred for the substance and the fact that he allowed it to take control of him. The guy is awesome - beyond awesome - and long may he wipe the floor with everyone else.

Norum & Hughes is like magic...Face the truth is one of the best melodic hard rock albums of all time!

A fantastic combination, John Norum and Glenn Hughes. One of my favourite songs is 'Face The Truth.' Wish they did some more music together.

Glenn was really in a bad shape here. But his low points are way better than high ones from many artists these days. Glad he won over his demons.
