Was in that race too! First time with ZRS. Before that I was always in the B front group. But here, I got DROPPED too. During the race I was like what the hell. But then I looked at power numbers and this ZRS for the best of me so in the end it's pretty satisfying and it gives a new DON'T GET DROPPED goal. It reminds me of my first races in B trying to survive in the front group.
That race was crazy. I was dropped on the first climb and had just enough to finish in your group. Had nothing left to sprint at all though. Well done Erik!
The TFC mad Monday EU ZRS numbers are really well done. This is what zwift should adopt, much closer numbers. They’re just too worried about group size I think.
I was on the same race! Cool to see a fellow youtuber. I agree ppl doing 5w/kg should get upgraded quickly. They break the pack dynamic, making you burn out too early 😢
First, i love your Videos, they are helping me to understand Racing on Zwift. I'm shocked about the Racing Score. I'm a 25 Year old Enduro-Racer weighing in at about 62-64 KG. I'm on a Quest to do some XCO-Racing next year, so i started XC-Based training 2 Months ago. First i got into Zwift a week ago, did a ramp test, got my FTP estimated to 250 Watts, that's 4,0 W/kg for that time. Never saw my Power Numbers in real life. I'm riding my 18 KG Enduro-MTB alot.. like 60KM and 1400 Meters of climbing is normal for me, even some Intervalls.. 13% Gradient with 18KG bike with 1,3 Bar and soft compound is always a Intervall 😅. Yesterday i did the Zwift Academy Race Nr.1 up this Mountain for 30 Minutes. 43 Riders in Cat-C so i was pumped for some competition, but just after 10 Minutes i was a bit shocked.. there were only 10-15 Riders going fast, the rest got dropped, so i thought to myself.. they aren't really racing or what are they doing. I finished 6th with 4,0 W/kg for these 30 Minutes, from 1-8th place everyone was about 3,8-4,1 W/kg. But When i saw the full starter list i was ab bit confused, i'm not much into the system of this Racing Score. But mine is 406 now. There were a lot of riders with 400-500 Racing Score only putting out 2,7-3,6 W/kg without even a chance to compete for better Positions. That's bullshit, i did 155 BPM average, they also did 150-180 so they went hard, not being lazy. Are they forced to do Cat-C? But in my opinion it's super annoying, having 43 People, everyone is pumped, ready to give his best.. only to be dropped in just a minute. I Don't know a lot about the Roadbike community, i'm just assuming now.. most of the Zwifters are Roadbikers or Gravel-People. Every Sport has different Leagues. People are light, heavy, old, young, trained and not so trained.. some are super hardcore trained. On every Cat C-Start there is classification that shows 2,7-3,2 W/kg, why on mothers Earth are there People mid 400-500 Racing Score, close to Cat-B being Level 61 putting out 4 W/kg but some other dude put into the same Race with also 400-500 Racing Score only doing 3,1 W/kg.. Even in some Crit Races, the same .. stuff over and over. Sorry for the long text, and the person that finds some errors in my english, keep them.. i'm from germany 😂. But i had to shake this topic off, it realy confuses me.
Honestly I'm not even going to waste my time trying to figure out the Zwift Racing Score system and just try to stick to Rule #1 and HAVE FUN! I think a bunch of people in that Academy race were just there to tick it off and get the Academy badge or whatnot. If you want to find some good spicy racing look for Monday Prime Time community events around 12-2pm EST. Or dive a bit deeper into the Zwift racing world, ZRL, lots of mini tours, etc. If you look you will find legit racing and get what you paid for! ....an a$$ kicking! lol
The new ZRS changes everything, I'm an A, but I'm only at 650 even though I did 5 races in 8 days and finished top 10 in each one of them. I finished 5th in this race and just got like 5 points upgrade 🤷
ZRS will be changing soon and fixing the seed issue where 4.5 w/kg - 5.0w/kg flat profiles with no 30-second power have gotten seeded too low . . . and high 30-second power profiles with sub 4.0w/kg have gotten seeded to high. It will all flesh out eventually but it's a little rocky until then. I will say though that there were some 3.8 - 4.0 w/kg folks using power wisely in this race and finishing top 10 here. Also, as whacky as 520-690 can be right now, I can promise you that sitting at the bottom of 690-1000 is even more "fun" 😱😂
That's the flaw in the race scoring categories. In the old category races, someone pushing that kind of w/kg in a B cat race would have gotten booted. You had 2 guys with 5 or more w/kg, that's A+ cat. I can see someone getting away with that for one race, but their score should immediately jump over 690 instead of just going up incrementally. Anyway, a tough race for you, great job sticking with it and not rage quitting. Btw, I've watched quite a few races and if you have steering, the right side down the grade is faster!
I wonder how long it will take to get the scoring settled out? Just looking through the top guys in your race, it looks like none of them will get upgraded. So expect them to rip apart more "B" races in the near future. My score puts me in A, but I have B W/kg. I'm too heavy to go up that climb at 6 W/kg so would have gotten dropped, too. They really need to do ZRS for course type, ie climbing or flat.
Absolute carnage out there. Riders everywhere up the Itza. Ouch!
And super cool outro for Ellie and her gramps. Sending positive vibes their way ❤
👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
You're a great man, Erik.. that was so touching.. keep strong Elle, may you win your fight 💪 ❤
I’m nobody. It’s all about Ellie!!!!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Nice one on the outro for Elle and grappa Joe Eric. Kudos.
All for Ellie!

Set your own goals… and SMASH THEM!! 💪🏽💪🏽

Ya the front just sailed off into space! I was mentally dropped in the pens 🤪
Welcome to Zwift ZRS.. D rider racing in B cat.. so fun :) racing against riders pushing 4w+ any little bump in the road and your gone.
Also love how it was the little pip squeak's (junior) 2nd race after smashing a 5.8w/kg effort in his first! Prime Time is WILDDDDD
@@DontGetDroppedCycling Oh, i will try it out. Thanks for the Answer.

TFC Monday is always looking tasty but hard for me to make during the day and just a tad too early in the evening that the kiddos aren’t asleep yet.

Dude needs instant ZRC of 691 😂
Separately, let's go, Ellie!! 💪💪
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS LETS GOOOOO
Solid work as always
✌🏽

This race looks tough 😳 😮.
Extra tough since it was Prime Time!

I feel like I jumped from low 500 to mid 600s pretty quick but now it's kinda stabilized the last few races... 🤔 Gotta keep it under 690 lmaoooooooo

Oh trust me I’m not complaining at all. I’m trying to keep my score from going up anymore 🤪

I did 4.3 for a 36 minute race on tuesday. My race score is 588, lower than guys in the old C category.
Hot damnnnnnnnnn right side down the grade it is!!!!!!! THESE ARE THE TOP TIPS ✌🏽
If you win with A+ power that should be instant… GO TO JAIL!
@@blackflamesolutions526 I'm convinced they are ignoring w/kg and are going by how you race against others in your scoring range.
@@DontGetDroppedCycling 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’m sure with most things on Zwift it’ll get better and better with each update! With the odd step backwards here and there 😂
This seems completely broken. I am a mid-C rider. Last race the winner had a fpt of 360 and did 4.2 w/kg for the race.
Can I come join you down there? Not gonna lie it was a treat smashing everyone before my score started to move up and level off 🤪
Thus new grouping is harder thannokd B cat. I'm back to rock bottom of this new zwift racing score.
It definitely didn’t get easier!!!!!!!! 😅
