3:45 Sierra is SO CUTE cuddled up and sleeping in the blankets! Your set-up looks great with the new stove, awning room, different camping site! Happy life! ☺️
Hello BRYAN I just LOVE WATCHING your VIDEOS I see your dog is back to her old SELF it's just AWESOME to see her run and play I just CAN'T wait to see more videos from you your fan Rose🤗🤗🤗
What a great way to wake up , to song birds!! The sounds of nature are slowly coming back in my neck of the woods, now that winter is going to be on it's way out soon. Gift certificate for Cabela's - brilliant gift!
Thanks Carla! Sierra is having so much fun at this dispersed campsite. It's pretty wide open except for the trees around my truck so I can easily keep an eye on her as she spends her time exploring the fields. She's such a fun companion! Hope you had a great day Carla, thanks for watching.
That saw is awesome! New spot looks comfortable, secure from the winds. Thanks for the gorgeous day hike. Enjoyed the tunes and seeing ya'll together. Peace
These videos are just so relaxing.... My go-to lately for chill-out me-time at night. You are livin' the life, Brian, that's for sure!! 😁 Thx so much for sharing your adventures with us. ☺️
Hey Travis, thanks for the comment. I'm glad these videos are relaxing as that's what I'm trying to convey. It's been great to have the wood stove in my awning room, wish I would have thought of that sooner. Hope your weekend is going good! Thanks for tuning in ~ Brian
Hey there Brian. I was listening to Derek and the Dominoes live at Santa Monica 11/70 when the announcement of your latest vlog came across. I hesitated for a minute and then I thought, I can listen to this later. I was rewarded with one of your best shows. I love that natural bluing that your new stove has taken on. Sierra is a sweetie as always. The jazz you were listening to made a more uplifting replacement to the blues of Clapton. I might go back and watch it again. Oh, good foresight using those Pinions as a windbreak. Take care my friend. Vaughn
I like the set up. But the downside is, if you have to go into town for supplies you have to pack up camp. I put tarps off the back of my 1988 4Runner with tent poles. I tie them up to the back of my truck to make a living area. And same thing for me though, I have to pack up to leave. I guess if I bought two more tent poles I could drive off for supplies and leave my tarp shelter there. Then come home and back up into my shelter again. I've considered getting a light weight off road motorcycle and put it on a rack on the back so I can leave my 4Runner parked at camp. And go get supplies and also explore.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but watch out in high winds with the stove pipe blowing into the tent. You have multiple hangers and bungee holding it in one direction. I'd at least tie one down to the ground on the opposite side. Great setup though 👍
I thought those tents would open to the truck, so you could make a bed in the truck, and use the tent as a day room. That a little disappointing. Very cool place to camp though. So totally alien to eastern Canada.
I believe that Silky does do work with ytbers, I've seen some that did recently.. but they are good, I give them that 👌 But I have watched a few weeks back and needed to think and adjust to this way, for a moment I was confused about the setup, lol! One blink and it all changed 😁
I do a lot of truck camping, and I have a full size truck that sometimes doesn't give me enough room for all my gear. I can't imagine how you deal with a half truck. Ever wish you'd gone with a Tundra instead? Or maybe a domestic truck with an 8 foot bed?
Holy cow man!! That saw!! I own a landscape maintenance company and I cut a lot of limbs. I’ll check if you posted a link for this saw. Selky Sulky? Haha. Silky. In the title. My bad.
Do you carry a large tarp in the truck? The tent walls look so thin, I don't see how they hold the heat in, when strong winds, or deep cold hits. A thick tarp would trap more heat inside. ( That or line the inside walls with bubble wrap LOL)
So Dad gets the floor, Sierra gets the bed. I can relate. Question: the extra space you created at the end of the of the truck bed, was that for something specific or just extra needed space? Tents etc?
That ARB awning room just keeps getting cooler and cooler ! I really need to add one to my rig ! Are you at all worried about the sides blowing into the stove in the wind ?
Hey Brandon, I actually tied off some guy lines to the sections around the stove to bump out the side walls a bit and prevent any wind from blowing the walls into a hot stove. So far it's working really good! I love this set up, which I would have done this sooner. Total game changer for truck camping in cold weather.
Off-Grid Backcountry Adventures Definitely ! I love watching you progress, it continues to give me more ideas for my Tundra every time you make an upgrade !
do you run solar on your truck roof, and if so do you use a lithium bank to run things? also, I had a Belgian Shepherd/malnois named Annie that looked exactly like Sierra. she was my travel buddy when I lived out of my blazer. what kind of dog is she?
Living in such constantly windy conditions puts constant mild stress on the body and the immune system is not a sustainable way of living though temporarily it looks like great fun.
Thanks, just ordered it from Amazon. I figured the larger one seeing everything you use it for. Have you ever tried the solar panels for charging it? Also, if you install a stainless steel grate that has about 1 1/2 inches of clearance and build your fire on that it will draft from underneath and burn better plus the ashes will fall underneath. Peace out.

Frittata in a small dutch oven can be breakfast and lunch as another breakfast idea.

Sierra looks so happy cuddled up next to her person. Happy travels from Texas.
I love that gorgeous bluing your stove door has gotten from the heat! Truly beautiful.
I've always loved that bluing as well...glad to finally have one of these little stoves. Working great!
Silky saws are awesome and worth the money.
Thanks For Another Great Video!!!

Love the Truck Camping setup. Especially the bed for Sierra. Hope you have a great week. Looking like rain/snow here on the West Slope. Peace.

I just love to see how happy & loved Miss Sierra is. She is such a sweet & beautiful girl!
I love the way you take care of Sierra, she's such a darling. Give her a hug and kiss for me.
Boring Sunday in Delaware so watching your videos lol
Nice wood stove idea!
Daaang that breakfast looks tasty. Glad to see the stove is working out well.
Ya breakfast 🥞 looks amazing 😉 do you ever cook salmon or trout
Love this set up. I have thought about going this route many times myself. Keep up the awesome videos 👍🏻
I really like that awning room!
The Big boy is the answer ....all that sun and no panel??....love the new setup. Only used my awning room once.
Warm and comfy👍🏻
Love that Tilley!
Great video , love the music .
That looks so comfy

Buy a chair and a table! You can use them indoor and outdoor!
You're welcome!

Have that same problem with the days of the week 😃

👨 + 🐕 + Wilderness = 😃
Be safe !! 👍🥰
I’m sure you know this but dryer lint works well as a fire starter....and it’s free (I know you don’t use one 🙃)
Nice Vid Dude..
Enjoy it.
LOVE 'Sierra🐅✔💯
Very nice.. Glad to see Sierra is doing good. How much do you worry about Bears coming into camp?
Trek on!!!!!
Try coating the saw blade with silicon to keep it from binding.

Sierra wasn't having any part of the early rise lol Run the saw blades over a bar of soap before you cut to keep it from hanging up.
A great breakfast is cut up honey crisp apples 🍎 with crunchy peanut butter.
That sounds great Gigi, I'll try it!

So Dad gets the floor, Sierra gets the bed. I can relate. Question: the extra space you created at the end of the of the truck bed, was that for something specific or just extra needed space? Tents etc?
he has a 5 foot bed and it bothered him sleeping so crampt after a while I heard him saying in a later video
Nice terrian, what state ,county so maybe do same for a download of the world u know peace n quiet
how do you sharpen a Silky saw? I use a Corona razor-tooth but it can't be sharpened (unlike my Fiskar hatchet)
❤❤❤
Sierra is such a good companion. What happened to your little chair and cot?
That ARB awning room just keeps getting cooler and cooler ! I really need to add one to my rig ! Are you at all worried about the sides blowing into the stove in the wind ?

Silky saws cut on back stroke NOT the forward stroke, that's why western saws are shaped differently, any saw with that style blade always back stroke
When you coming back to the Dolores Co area?
Hey great video, I have the same arb awning but I have the newer room deluxe. What was the temperature inside the tent overnight?
Are you using reflectex around the bottom of the tent? How does that work out?
🐾💜
do you run solar on your truck roof, and if so do you use a lithium bank to run things? also, I had a Belgian Shepherd/malnois named Annie that looked exactly like Sierra. she was my travel buddy when I lived out of my blazer. what kind of dog is she?
did you get the Trekker or Packer Kni-co woodstove? and are you planning on using it in your new pop-up topper?
Which tent is better in windy conditions and why?
Does your stove pipe ever need cleaning? If so, how often and what’s the procedure?
I will stick with a hot shower and a big fridge.
That's cool brother, nothing wrong with those two!
Is this awning room the 2000n2500 or the 2500x2500 ? sweet setup though!
Living in such constantly windy conditions puts constant mild stress on the body and the immune system is not a sustainable way of living though temporarily it looks like great fun.
That has not been his experience..... Or anyone else who has lived like this for extended periods.
Q...Will you stay out there if you don't have Internet? I know I won't! I saw lap top
ok but do you have coverage?
So where’s the big tent ?
Do you store your winter stove and winter camping tent in the truck full year long or do you store that somewhere else???
How warm/hot does it stay in there?
Fairly new to following you, but by any chance is that the San Luis valley?
Please be careful...
Use unpainted coat hangers, that paint can burn down to your tent 🔥. Saw it while I was in the ARMY, twice.
Living off grid sounds great. How do people afford to run a truck though. Got to have other incomes. Love your vids.
How are you keeping rain out? Zippers leak
Yeah, there's a little bit of condensation on the inside but overall it's manageable. Very similar to being in a tent when it rains.
i woke up in the fireplace once
i slept like a log ....
you're knotty
Do you use the 250 or 500 jackery?
Hi Brad, I use the 500. It's worked well so far.

I love nature but I feel utterly unprotected in a tent
The saw wont stick much if you saw faster
