but if you had compared the K2 with the MS20 desktop, with its rev1/rev2 filter switch, I guess you wouldn't have noted any difference: owning the original MS20, its 'mini' reboot and the desktop one, I can tell you that the last one can emulate perfectly both generations of his older bros, hence I deduce it must be the same with the Behringer clone...
I ve got one bought at thomann, I ve created an video about it This small K2 is incredibly good I’ve got in the past the original so I know what I m speaking about 😉
Do the LOW CUT FREQ and HIGH CUT FREQ knobs are looser than the rest and feels less smooth on the touch? I returned one for that reason and the replacement K-2 also has the same knobs
lol. thats what i do at superbooth, ask the developer what the new module/synth/gadget can do, and then: ah yes. can you make it sound beautiful. And For YOU: get educated and get a violin or a cello and dont watch analog mono synth demos asking for orchestral sounds.
@dasczwo Oh dear, fancy having an opinion or a question that you don't like, how thoughtless of me. In the future I will contact you to find out what I should think about everything. In the meantime, pass on my condolences to everybody who knows you.
Not understanding the potential value/use of electronic music in 2024 sniffs of troll, but your ignorance is excused on the condition of your willingness to learn. The answer to your question is yes! Early synth music was very much invented as a way of replicating orchestral timbres. See: Wendy Carlos, Mort Garson, Suzanne Ciani, Delia Derbyshire, et al. Can you make a mono synth sound exactly like a violin or flute or bassoon? No. But you can, through skillful manipulation, create new sounds that mimic those instruments’ acoustic and harmonic properties.
The difference between k2 ans ms20 is not about the osc/vco or filter sounds, the problem is about the patchbay and ESP sounds. K2 is very limited, sadly, and we can obtain the same rich textures than on the ms20 (mini and m). UNFORTUNATLY no or few reviews talks about it...
@@QPLAYS010 I have a frien who have the original ms20 ans the ms20m. So I know what I say. The same panel does not mean the same texture. so WTF are you talking about ?

My god that outro shook me
Love the guitar synth! Saucool!
Isn't it! Blew me away how good it tracked too... You can input vocals too! //Jason
@@ThomannSynthesizers This is what I needed to confirm for my purchase... Can this handle chords?
No pwm in? So the Korg MS-20m is winner for me, 2 filters, FM..., etc.
Good point! I do like the form factor of the original too //Jason
@@QPLAYS010 unfortunately there is not not the same panel on k2, check the difference in detail properly

I didn't notice that at the time.. I hope your replacement is better! //Jason
i always thought that;'s by design: i think of them as my performance knobs, as in 303 cutoff etc. knobs
Outro sounds like it's off the film "Scanners"

not even close to being an MS-20 clone. Maybe an MS-20 mini relative...
