0:50 Crust recipe
1:15 chill dough
1:20 Banana part
2:02 Apple part
2:47 Rolling out the dough
3:11 Put apple banana mixture in
3:16 Crust part
3:22 Pie top
3:40 Hole for chimney
3:58 Put in oven 1rst time at 450 F for 5 minutes
4:06 Put back in oven for 375 F for 50 minutes
This is just in time because my bananas are getting into banana bread territory and this looks better than banana bread 😋
my grandma had passed away after she finished eating a piece of this cake. kidding ,she just loved it . my mom too but 3 family members just has taste allergy for apple pies lol

I just made this pie from scratch... and I am not lying, this resepie can overcome all the pies I have seen in any coffeshop... no kidding!

Freezing ripe bananas to use later is such a simple but genius idea. Why have I never thought of doing that? I've wasted so many bananas!

I started with watching just 1 video this morning and suddenly this turned into a Bruno Albouze-sunday!

Side note but I've made this a couple times now and it's incredible! My wife does not prefer pies but this changed her mind.

Do you think it could be made in a glass pie plate? I have no frying pans for the oven?
@@TenaKristjanson as long as it's oven proof, I think it should be fine. I'm no chef though :) I've made it in the big rectangular tray/pan that came with the oven, with double the ingredients.

In your fruit cake recipe, you mentioned that keeping the batter in the cake mould in the frig overnight would improve the flavour of the cake.is this only for fruit cake or for all cakes like pound cake and butter cake.

Really nice recipe! I have a question if you don't mind, when I made this recently the pie filling was kind of sour "tart" any ideas what went wrong or is it supposed to taste like that?

A nice accompaniment would be sugar glazed banana slices. You just slice a 'nana any way you like, lengthwise or rounds, oblique, etc, then sprinkle sugar on top of them like you are finishing a creme brulee, by caramelizing the sugar with a torch. You'll get nice creamy banana underneath, with a crispy caramelized sugar glaze on top.
Why not but totally useless in this configuration. A pie is not a plated dessert although it can be served on a plate 😜
@@BrunoAlbouze Strangely enough, during the 25 years I spent cooking for a living, we usually served pie on plates. I'm glad you liked my suggestion

Those bananas are so ripe that i would be afraid to touch them by hand, let alone eat them.
I had no idea the are a positive game changer...
There were frozen bro...when it thaws it turns naturally into puree. Also, ripen bananas are much richer in nutrients and pungent.. less appealing to eat but in cake making there is no match.
