RIP to our Brother Kazuki Takahashi, The ture father of Yugi and King Of Games. Gone and No matter what you will never forgotten. You meant the world to us.
HOLY SHIT. I finally found it. After ten years of trying to remember this song from the CD i got at burger king that i lost, I've finally founded it by chance. My 10+ year journey is over.
i know the feels i was the same when i was looking for my first anime that got me started on writing and making my own anime. and then i just found it like a year ago it was shinzo and i havent even watched it again since i found it cuz i'm afraid it won't be the same cuz i was real young the feelz when you finally find something man
I remember that my best friend was going to move away, so we decided to play Yugioh the day before he moved. We played this song during the match. Since then, I still use the same deck I dueled him with.
I am well aware of that (I have watched all the episodes several times) Sometimes i just call him Yami instead of Atem because I grew up watching the dub where until they learned his name they just called him Yami. But yes I do know that his real name is Atem.Either way this song just works so well for those two and I love this song so much.
This song will never be the same! All I can think of is Atem and Yugi!! I have three more episodes until the final end.... 😭😭😭 I don't want him to leave!
Rest in peace Kazuki Takahashi. You created a wonderful game that people made very happy memories with. I know you are with Atem now. I can see you dueling Atem and y'all having a great time getting your game on, so let's rev it up because it's time to duel and you both are using all of the summoning methods too.
song actually brought a tear to my eye, my dad and i used to love watching yugioh, went to tournaments around us, its one of many things we both loved to do, brought back alot of memories
*is kicked in the nuts by nostalgia * holy moly, this takes me back. I remember loving this song, Joey and Yugi's duel was awesome, it was exactly what duelling between friends should be. duelling with everything you have, but above all else respect for your opponent. Man I may have teared up listening to this *sniff*
I cried when I listened this song first time when i was 8 years old. Now I'm 20.I am still crying while listening this.First Yu-Gi-Oh is the best anime ever
Proud to say I've got two friends like this. They're like brothers to me, and I'd take a bullet for both of them. Been friends for 15 years and counting.
Fuck this song. One of the most emotional songs to date - and im not just talking about Yugioh...I reckon im pretty tough and this song brings tears to my eyes every time...fuck
0:02 Yugi: "Alright, Joey, you asked for my best, and I intend to give it." Joey: "Yugi, I won't insult you by giving you anything less than my all. I'm gonna come at you hard right from the start."
This song always brings me to tears :( I can feel the strength of Yugi's and Joey's friendship in this song :) something that a lot of friendships lack nowadays :(
This song reminds me of when there was a group of pals I used to play yugioh with. We'd decided to have a friendly tournament with each other. To think I ended up having to duel my pal who had gotten me into this to begin with. Tense duel at the time, we all were rolling and laughing after the duel when one of the guys turned this song on.
I've still got my original Dark Magician deck. I ran that, Cyber Dragon (that's been heavily updated to remain tournament worthy), and Elemental HEROs.
God this song, really this whole album, makes me want to go back 20 years, when I was 11, didn't have a care in the world, and dueling my little sister on my bed while this CD played in my pink boom box. Good times.
Damn after coming back to this song after 2 years without hearing it it made me choke up a bit ngl this song gets to ya. And thing is I dont even have a best friend or ever did....just know how personal this song can be and sometimes I wonder how things would go if I had a best friend that knew this song too. I think I'd ball like a big baby and I'm 29 lol. Amazing song. Just like pokemon theme song lol
I love this song! it can be used on many conditions on any game that has heart. My brothers and I have been playing Yugioh since 98' and even though we are now in our mid 30's this game has transcended to me as a pure nostalgic when being a child was to have fun and be good at something and at the same time have respect for one another. Both my brother and I have even taught our wives to play this game that they even beat us! it was awesome seeing that our spouses love this game as much as we do. This game has an even bigger meaning because my youngest brother was the best of 3 boys, he even won championships and even went on pro but that was cut real short when he was in a car accident and now he is bed ridden with brain injury that has left him somewhat paralyzed.. sorry this song and this game to me has more meaning than anything and its more than just a game with cool drawings. My second brother has the Elemental Hero Deck and its suits him because he is a Fire fighter, my youngest brother had junk warriors and Gladiator beast and I will always be Ninja and Samurai. My wife has the Rose and Amazonian deck and my brother's wife has Dragons. Anyways have fun playing this awesome game!
I watched Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie when I was little, And had no idea what was going on, But when I got a bit older, I got into the series, and then I watched it all. I never watched GX, 5D's or Zexal. I was sad at the end of Yu-Gi-Oh! But now I'm alot older and my friends call me insane for watching Yu-Gi-Oh! But this is the best show ever. And that's one thing that will never change.
this will always be my favorite episode of all time. yugioh was huge reason got into anime kinda save my life plus this song made it possiable. those days mcdonalds had kid meals with two mystery yugioh cards and cd played songs from show. i reapeat this song over and over. miss those days.
Diving back into Yu-Gi-Oh! for the first time since I was a kid. My parents got divorced around the time the show introduced The Seal of Orichalcos. Lets see if I can figure out these black and white cards and these elemental heroes and what not lol
I listened to this song in isolation as a 16 year old who could not tell anyone around me that I liked yugioh... otherwise it would be social suicide. So I felt like I was the only one. But now I’m reading the comments and finding that there were so many of us. I wish I could’ve talked you you then.
Just wow, so much emotion, I remember watching the episode, I remember everything that they had gone through, especially Joey, from being seen as weak by everyone, being degraded, questioning his own abilities, but now to stand opposite one of the greatest duelist, who just happened to be his best friend, so much here, and like someone said, this could also apply to Yugy and the pharaoh's final dual.
Just wow, so much emotion, I remember watching the episode, I remember everything that they had gone through, especially Joey, from being seen as weak by everyone, being degraded, questioning his own abilities, but now to stand opposite one of the greatest duelist, who just happened to be his best friend, so much here, and like someone said, this could also apply to Yugy and the pharaoh's final dual. as an old-school player, there is just so much here, I still remember dueling to this entire seating at a summer camp, everything hinging on the turn of a card, nothing quite like you calling a game-winning attack, and then your opponent flips a magic cylinder, even better when you're the one activating the magic cylinder, I used to play spellcaster.
I love this song. I loved it when it was played during the duel between Yugi and Joey, however, I really feel that it should have been used during the duel between Yugi and Yami.
The Yugi vs Joey battle had me so emotionally invested in the fifth grade. I remember writing who will win on my chackboard and being extremely sad at the possibilities. I knew one of then had to win but they both had so much at stake. The lyrics "Were closer than brothers, now we have to fight each other" wrecked me. 😭 I knew how important their friendship was and just seeing them fight was too much. This song is so good and yeah I was an overly sensitive kid lol.
Oh yes, definitely that too. It's so much more meaningful when the strongest is defeated and must overcome not only a physical obstacle, but also a mental obstacle. Only way to fight with the most powerful antagonists is to be one of the most powerful characters ;D
I miss the old days when i used to duel every kid in my school and there were only some few cards out so i knew every strategy and i was a god at yu gi oh. I miss the old days but more i miss yugi and joey god damn these onions hurt
I heard this a while ago and the nostalgia kicked in. My closest friend is my first cousins and they're practically my younger brothers and when I see them again I'll play this song.
Why they went this hard for a a free cd from Burger King I will never know, but be damned if I don’t love it. I have played this game since 2003 and it still makes me stupidly happy to just hang out and duel. Shout out to all the king and queens of games out there!
As I'm rewatching YuGiOh today, I'd forgotten about this theme since I remembered that the duel between Yugi and Joey is still one of the best duels in YuGiOh history from the classic to the current Era. Even coming from someone who started watching the show since the early 2000s like myself.
was rewatching OG Yugio an just got to this part in the show when this plays an it made me cry. i miss my BF wish he reach out to me. an not let what happen keep us about. he did something bad to me. an evin right than an their i forgave him but turned down his offer of a Yugioh card as a sorry. i just wanted to give tough love. an he left. did not think he would let that be it. i oways in the past forgave him for bad thing becuase i loved him too much to care but i wanted him to learn from his mistake an not repeat it. evin now i dont have a itch of hate for him. this was are song. we loved Yugioh. worse part i cant go an find him by force as he oway went by his prefered name an his real name i never use out of respect. Bebo. his real name was a big hard name to say. that i just cant recall. i was never good with names unless i say it often enough an Bebo was what he went by. i have a 2ed best fraind an evin he i go by a diffent name. tho this time i made sure to know an remeber his real name. but his name also much easy. this song torment me with my lost of my friend. all i can do is hope an wish he one day think of me an want to forgive him self an reach out to me. i know he knows my name an last name. sigh highsight wish i just took the card. need him back.
Every time I hear this I think of Yugi vs Joey during battle city, when Joey was being controlled by Marik. I think that suits it best because of the repetition of 'no matter what', it's saying that they'll be friends even if one of them dies. So many feels XD!
I Play this song with my bud before every time before we duel to remind him to bring out his best with no holding back and to duel with all of your burning heart and soul! no holding back and throwing everything me and I possibly can. every so often the local card shop, we get paired up at the very end, and that make a great duel between close friends close as brothers !
***** the lyrics fit Yami & Yugi's relationship throughout the series. They are two of a pair suddenly on opposite sides. Even though Yugi needs a victory Yami/Atemu means the world to him (interpret that anyway you wish)
YamisQueenJess Not me this song is about Yugi and Joeys duel and the part about throwing the whole match and let him win every play wouldnt go good with Atem and yugi's final duel because Atem was wanting to see if yugi was good enough to duel on his own without his help so the verse in the song would be contridicting itself due to the factif atem won he would need to stay with yugi longer BUT technically ATEM does come back in GX and gave JADEN that WINGED KURIBO card but of course thats later on down the line my point being this song was Strictly ment for yugi and joeys duel so it wouldnt fit Atem and Yugi's Duel
tell me about it I miss being a kid im just 22 but I just fill so old after hearing this made be buy the every season of the original yugioh and watch them again lol makes you cry seeing your old anime and stuff again exp knowing Naruto is about to end on the anime... but the manga whent for 15 years along time wish it keep going I cryed after the end... misss it alot
Man i remember as a kid seeing this duel with yugi and joey and never understood why they didnt work together from the start no matter what joey would get the money for his sister and no matter what yugi would save his gramps and the world!
I absolutely love this song. I don't care if it's about Yu-Gi-Oh/card games, it's fantastic. But it keeps making me think of the YGOTAS episode where they start singing it...
I remember playing a game of magic of all things and my mate ross told me "you know, your just like kaiba when we play these matches". I laughed and said "thats funny, your always like yugi". It was silly and childish and i fkn loved it haha
reminds me when me and my best friend both have Subarus and we had to race each other for the finals. he tought me everything I knew about the cars and it was sad to beat him but I never changed he will always be my best friend. untell next time we race
They actually wrote a heart touching song about a card game
I'm honestly impressed

We ate it up when it first released too!
This song is about friendship. Not cards.

It's been nearly a year and it all still feels surreal.
That’s one thing that will never change
He died a hero too
He was attempting to rescue a child from drowning.
The man lived a hero, and he damn well died a hero. Rest in peace, king of games ❤️

Scary thing is this song works so well with a montage for Yugi and Yami's final duel.
His name isn't "Yami".. His real name is Atem.

They should have played this at one point during that duel. It’s a shame they stopped making insert songs after Duelist Kingdom.
@@redstreak9430 I just wanna see an AMV of this song with the duel of Atem/Yami VS Yugi playing
Oh man this has such an early 2000's feel to it, I know why but you know what I mean. I love it so much.
We are from the golden age man 😁
I've noticed that, like, every single 4Kids song ever has the exact same sound to their drums.

tell me about it I miss being a kid im just 22 but I just fill so old after hearing this made be buy the every season of the original yugioh and watch them again lol makes you cry seeing your old anime and stuff again exp knowing Naruto is about to end on the anime... but the manga whent for 15 years along time wish it keep going I cryed after the end... misss it alot
It took me until 2019 to figure out what this song was let alone where I could find it. Even then I found it on accident
Man i remember as a kid seeing this duel with yugi and joey and never understood why they didnt work together from the start no matter what joey would get the money for his sister and no matter what yugi would save his gramps and the world!
I wish I had a true friend that would never leave me.
You'll find one like that one day :)
Believe in the Heart of the Cards. They wont mislead you.
ATEM LEAVES YUGI AFTER ALL
I have a true friend that will never let go of me
***** It's better for him to go rest, it's what he really wants. Atem likes his friends in the 21st century, but it wouldn't make him happy.
Amazing song!!! Probably my favorite Yugioh song.
This has no right to go as hard as it did.
yeah
I ❤this song
I still use this song when ever I duel my brothers or just playing yugioh in general
I absolutely love this song. I don't care if it's about Yu-Gi-Oh/card games, it's fantastic. But it keeps making me think of the YGOTAS episode where they start singing it...
My Childhood from the early 2000s
This is the true definition of a friendship/family song.
I remember playing a game of magic of all things and my mate ross told me "you know, your just like kaiba when we play these matches". I laughed and said "thats funny, your always like yugi". It was silly and childish and i fkn loved it haha
What colors do you play?
