Are western governments banning SF6? That would inhibit domestic manufacturers from using it for their products and it would force foreign manufacturers who wish to export to the west to not use SF6. I hope his product catches on and having SF6 banned would be helpful. I don't know what SF6 status is.

The EU’s regulations aim to reduce emissions of fluorinated gases as part of its commitment to combating climate change. The F-Gas Regulation prohibits the use of fluorinated gases with high GWP in some applications where lower-GWP alternatives are available. This includes bans on the use of SF6 in certain types of new equipment. In the US, the use of SF6 is not banned in any type of new equipment. However, in some states the emissions rate is capped. For instance, in California the maximum emission rate is not to exceed 1 percent since 2020.
