I wish ERVs cost that here. Minimum 5x and most quotes I've seen are nearly 10x that. HVAC meanwhile is much much cheaper. Still will get an ERV on my next build, but the numbers are absolutely backwards here. It will cost several times as much as a HVAC system upfront. Why? Because there's probably 50 ERV's installed in the country per year but millions of HVAC systems. Hope that changes.
