- Hey everyone!
My Toro Snow Commander single stage snowthrower (snowblower) was violently catching and banging on sidewalk cracks. Just like the big dual stage blowers, single stage snow throwers have skids/shoes/guards for the chute as well to prevent damage and optimum paddle height.
Come along as I show step by step how to replace the worn out guards!
We’re glad that you’re back and doing what we all like, playing and working on small engine and related components!
Thanks Todd!
I have been using "Rustoleum rust converter", it's a primer, rust converter. If you put on one coat it primes, 2 coats it's a paint it is also black. Great video!
Dave its good to see you bacl posting again buddy. Great video as always. You look a lot warmer in your garage with that new heat system!
Oh yes! It’s incredible. I’m so happy with it. Just have to insulate the ceiling now.
Beautiful shop. Have a great new year
Thanks Alan!
Yo yo happy new year mate wishing you all the best for 2022
You too pal! Love to see how your channel has grown. Big plans for this year?
@@DavesSmallEngines hopefully mate.. I'm working hard to grow the channel..
Hello Dave, I use mainly Milwaukee M18 cordless power tools as well, and I even have a couple of Milwaukee plugin tools too. I love Milwaukee tools, they are very well built, and they work awesome. Yes, both my M18 impact driver and impact wrench have torque settings on them, real handy to have. It was nice to see you doing some standard maintenance on the wear item replacement skid shoes, on your Toro blower. We've gotten a lot of snow already this winter, and I've used my plugin electric snow blower a lot. Don't forget, the paddles are also wear items, as well as the belt. But as long as she's still throwing good, your fine.
I think I’ll do some paddles this spring!
those are nice light machines with lots of power and easy to handle , you don't see them for sale to often
I’m going to hold onto this one!
Thank you
You’re welcome, Matt!
Great video Dave. How is the plastic skid/scrapper bar at the base of the unit? That also might need servicing. I had no idea that the side skids existed, that you replaced. Pretty neat! Thanks for sharing and making the video.
Hey Carl! I was checking that out. I’m going to do that and the paddles this spring, I think.
Great video...do you have the part numbers for those?
You're cheating . This should be done out in the snow storm were your fingers are frozen and no one will hear your French words..Hey ..
Ha! Tabarnak!!!
