My 17 year old Snow Commander is great. And they are single stage snow throwers. Never a carb problem. I have replaced the primer button as the rubber/plastic disintegrated. And I replaced the rubber blades once every two or three years, the plastic bars on each side of the blade area as they break, the plastic scraper that wears, and the lever that keeps the chute as the water and ice melt seized it up. I do maintenance/repair in the warm seasons. I do have electric start which makes life easier when doing an initial startup at the beginning of the season. Great video! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you. You're welcome.
Hey Robby, I have run across this situation many times where the gas was old, and the piece of equipment would not start. It happened to me recently when I filled my snow blower with gas, and it would not start by pulling it. I plugged in the starter, and it started but it took about 2 minutes to get it running. I couldn't figure it out at first then it dawned on me that the gas in my gas can was about six months old. Dummy me ha ha . Anyway, great video sir and I like your longer videos . Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving. Take care and catch you on your next video.
Hi Moab. We did, it was low key and the Bills beat the Lions!! How was your Thanksgiving?
@@small_engine_repair It was great ! My one brother-in-law flew in from Alaska and he did all the cooking . My wife had to work part of the day but was home in time for us to feast .Also our daughter and son in law were here with our grandsons.
Nice video, I dislike this type of snowblowers lol. I am used to the 28in Ariens or Troys.
But yeah lately I just check the gas first, drain it, and then I add new gas and see if it runs and sometimes it does.
If I started it with starting fluid it would run. Just would not start on it own. Weird how old gas behaves. We need a scientist to chime in 🙂
