Well done. I used to play this giutar song in the 1950's ( I Think) when it came out. Enyoyed listening to your music. I'll have to learn this song again. If I can match my previous performance I'll put it on UA-cam. Thanks for the video {:-)
"we named our Band "The Wheels" when we formed it in the early sixties..".we are now in the late seventies.....2015..all still kicking." .....beautiful piece of music !!......" Taiping Perak Malaysia."
i remember this as akid growing up in pa. always think of the amish . their wheels on the buggies are always going around. keep up the good playing. come to pa. and see them. thaks polywog690 indiana,pa. 11/12/11
+ Cesare44 You are very welcome and now I have to ask if you are the one playing this piece? I have very good reason for the asking. I do love this piece and fell in love with it the very first time I heard it so many years ago. Thank you again, James M. Kenyon
+ Ceasare44 Excellent, I was hoping you would say this as I know the man who played the original for the recording company. He was the late Alton R. (Al) Hendrickson who passed away in 2008 and who worked for many studios in Hollywood for many many years in fact he was what they termed first guitar for 40 years. He did the theme from Bonanza the western sitcom and so many other movies and songs including (Its a Wonderful World) and (Valerie) by the (Monkeys) I knew Mr. Hendrickson for 28 years and did much work for the old gentleman and his late wife Dame Mary Patricia (Patti) Hendrickson who passed away in 2006 I miss these folks very much and your placing this song on here has made me so very happy as I love this version and it is one of my all time favorites. Thank you so much Cesare44 you really made my year! Best always, James M. Kenyon P.S. I hope some day to get to meet you in person and do you still play?
Feel these things, it is a great pleasure because they further strengthen the desire to play. I want to read these words that you have given me, to my children so that they realize how much music can bring people far away. I am Italian and live a few kilometers from Rome. If you want to come see me, I'm here. A big hug. I hope to have written properly!!!
Great tone on that Strat and beautifully played! BTW That is a '72 Strat I believe - is it a re-issue or an original? I have one that is a re-issue MIJ made in '84 by Fujigen. Yours looks American from the octave dots,
