- From 1972, here's guitarist Neil Levang on the Lawrence Welk Show playing "Wheels" with musical help from Myron Floren at the accordion along with Joe Livoti and Harry Hyams on fiddle. Clay Hart, who is the show's featured country singer, gives him a great introduction.
With You Tube , we oldies can literally , at our fingertips, enjoy this music from our younger days .... a huge thank you to everyone who makes this possible !
and the musicians from your time inspire you people like me too!
Not only you , we the young ones also your generation music is the real music, now it just a business without spirit.
Thanks to UA-cam and the fans who continue to share his music, my father and his music will live on. Rest in peace, Dad.
Jan. 3, 1932 - Jan. 26, 2015
I'm saddened to hear of your Dad's passing!!! he was very much a part of my childhood. Every Saturday I looked forward to both you Father's guitar playing spots and Myron Floren's spots! I still watch the Show every Satruday when not gigging! With this vid we have the best of both!!
Every Saturday when I was very young we would take baths, and as each child took a bath and got into our pj's we could go sit on the couch with the rest of the family and watch Lawrence Welk, then Emergency (some of those years it may have been Adam 12 =) My mom especially loved The Lawrence Welk show - she is now 80 and we still talk about the performers sometimes. Your dad was one of my favorites - for both his talent and his smile. Almost 50 years later and that is still one of my favorite childhood memories. It brought my family closer then, and a memory I still enjoy now.
Your dad sounds great. Nice touch on the guitar. Sorry he's no longer around.
You must have had an interesting childhood! Your dad was a very proficient player and a good entertainer as well.
I'm a punk rock guy but your Dad is a smokin' cool player.
As a child from USSR I have heard this track in cartoon movie "Well, Just You Wait!" :-) Now I know what is it.
Rest in Peace to one of the best guitarist in the world..! 😔 😢 love from India 🇮🇳💓
Respecting the legend.

I grew up with Neil and Buddy in my early guitar days. I will always be in awe of those guys.
Neil Levange played flawlessly, his expertise allowed him to pic and strum any song with confidence. The accordion and fiddle playing add a special touch in this rendition, such wonderful musicians. The era is bygone, but their music lives on for all to enjoy.
Big Neil Levang fan here. I can't help but giggle at the title of this video: "Neil Levang with Wheels." I'm picturing Neil on roller skates. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.)
Just remarkable playing al together , really remarkable : Enjoyed it greately , thank you
This takes back to the 1960 and I love this music ED.

When I was 15 I ook guitar lessons and this was one of the songs learned. It was very popular in the 50's.
Great performance! Awesome guitar player! R.I.P. Neil. Love the pure Fender sounds!
A man with a fantastic smile on his face when he played this lovely song.
Lawrence Welk made all his musicians smile real big when soloing.

My dad was a man of the 50 and 60 generation. Craig Morton who played Peter Gunn. your Dad was a Great Guitar Player.
Best version i've heard
In addition to being an amazing musician, it was no small feat that Mr. Levang managed to look so dapper wearing a pea green jacket!
Pea green was a thing lol I the early 70s my dad painted his restored step side pick up truck "pea soup green"
Mijn lievelings lied zo gespeeld prachtig!!!!!!!!!
I hear Mr. Levang is a fine gentleman in addition to being an amazing player.
Real music

Më pëlqen shum kio muzik ❤🎉🙏🙏🙏
GRATITUD. ..PRECIOSA ...
OUTSTANDING!
What a superb player, a real inspiration.
That sounds great! An unusual variation on the Ventures version.
What a fun tune.
Great version.......
Neil Levang played with the Billy Vaughn orchestra when they toured Japan and South America......he always played Wheels as it was probably Billy's biggest world wide hit!
patentpumps Never knew that Neil LeVang was Billy Vaughn's guitarist in Wheels. Heard him play the first time in Lawrence Welk Orchestra the song Scarlet O'Hara in 1963 - before the version by Jet Harris. Thought Neil was great, perhaps in the mould of Chet Atkins. May he rest in peace.
Chew David Scarlett O'Hara by the Welk orchestra....one of my favorite all time instrumentals as is their recording of Riders in the Sky.
A lovely twang guitar!
❤
Nile he's the true Western musician player
👏👏👏
Bravo. ...
Very nice-a.
VERY GOOD !!!!!
I read the cello player Charlotte is still living and giving cello playing lessons.
Your father was a great musician but also a shrewd businessman!!!
Owsommm
О, мелодия из Ну, погоди!😁
Great
Loved his rendition of Ghost Riders in the Sky
Enjoyed watching/listening to this skilled guitarist on a 1930-something video here - can't remember name of song but I wanted to 'copy' (play) it on my piano. My guitarist son played his video here today - it was great. Sara Mc.
Probably 60s or early 70s
terimakasih 🌷😚👍 music yang manis bagus enjoy
Composed by Buddy Holly’s manager Norman Petty & originally recorded by one of Petty’s acts the String-alongs
But y’all knew anyway
Buddy comping on a Gibson archtop with Neil playing his personal Telecaster.
👍
Brazil
Ну Нил Леванг, ну погоди... ))))
😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
WHY I REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE ANYTHING PAST 1972.
Ну погоди, епта😄
Так эт ж мелодия из Ну погоди 😁
Check out San Antonia Rose (LeVang & Buddy Merrill); you can see both cords in that one. But this clip of Wheels certainly does not appear to be live guitar.
Ну погоди!
Who did a vocal version of this song?
wild horses
The translation of "carriage walking on the mountain road" should be closer to the original song. Later, the instrument played a strong tone, representing the difficulty of going uphill. After crossing the steep slope, it is easy to drive on the flat road。

I don't know if anyone sees what I see. But in all of these Lawrence Welks videos featuring these guitarists playing electric guitar, not one of them is plugged.
Since they were playing for TV it was recorded 1st, & then they played along with the tape afterward.
I wondered why it was only 1:50. It's because they doubled the tempo.
Это же из "Ну погоди!"
N. Bandsaws
Из ну погоди музыка
I find the title misleading. He didn't have any wheels.
Ahh... flatwound strings.
국가와ㆍ 민족을. 위해 나는 떠난다. 나는 ㆍ. 이제명. 찍을 볼란다.
too fast for me
great tune, except for Myron he was a little slow.
Neil Levang sounds good but Myron Floren dragged the whole thing down.
very bad but also very bad
Old and dull
Too speedy, not pleasant !
Boring arrangement!
Terrible version! First of all the tempo is too fast, and secondly that accordion has to go!
Из ну погоди😊
