- A few months ago I put a couple clusters of micro sword in my tank and the beautiful carpet is starting to take over! All I've been using is CO2, Finnex Planted+, and occasionally some liquid ferts.

i love when peeps aint trying to be loud or energetic. just chill vibes and great natural scape. great video
It’s great to see a “real” tank 😊 I’m not saying those lush, nicely trimmed tanks of high end aquascapers are fake, just that this is more in line with my reality. Yours is what mine has looked like at its best, maybe once 😁👍
My Frogbit grew much better when I had a more calm surface. When it had it moving a lot, like yours, they didn’t really Floruish.
That's interesting, thanks for sharing!
How long did that took from that 1 pot to carpet? Co2 or non?
Trimming horizontally doesn’t damage the leaves?
Video I saw before this: “Takes a long time to grow.” Sees this video.
Me: “ummm..”
Same here 🤣, some youtuber said that it had no progress for two months
This tank is beautiful! What is the stocking like, I want something like this too! With some schooling fish and platies.
My micro swords mine is not carpeting as tight and I find that some of the rum runners are like free-floating suggestions
have you trimmed it? trimming promotes "tighter" growth
wow i been trying to get a microsword carpet going forever. it's hard. what did you use for substrate??
how long have you been waiting? mine took around 2 weeks to get started
Hey nice micro sword. I been trying myself, just added Pressurize Co2. What kind of Substrate are using?
love the mine craft music brother! haha boss!
I dont have a injected co2 system, but im using seachem flourish excel which is liquid co2 i think. Will that work to keep this plant growing like crazy? I also have a fluval eco l.e.d. light for the plants and a large l.e.d. i dont know how many kelvins it is but its pretty bright. And the substrate i have in my 55 gallon tank is floramax.
Excell will not be enough and it's not cost effective in the long run. You definitely need pressurized CO2!
What do people add music to videos they talk over? I think most would prefer one or the other.
Covers up background noise
Anyone the the exact species name of this micro sword ??
Did you use a co2 system for a long period of time?
what substrate did you use in this aquarium?
looks like Stratum but not sure.
looks good bro
Looks good
Thanks!
what substract have you used?
How long micro sword takes to propagate this much
A month or two with CO2 and bright lights.
How do you trim it?
I just use scissors.
is your light twinstar?
Nope! It's the Finnex Planted+. :) amzn.to/2pHfpXH
WhiskeyCoffee it kind of looks like the effect of twinstar which is a very good light too.
u can run a air pump bc air has co2 too
No. Running an air pump with a CO2 set up will decrease the amount of CO2 in the water and will make the entire CO2 set up useless. If you don't run a CO2 system then using an air pump will typically be okay yes.
@@SuperGankBros u can run an air pump with co2 I do it and it works fine u just don’t want it like crazy agitation, but generally if you have enough CO2 in the water column the constant source will keep it there even if your surface is agitated too much every time I see people say this I always realize they must not have much experience with actual real time CO2 system use on an aquarium lol
@@mrgrump2534You can do it but your wasting CO² in the process. The air stone is increasing your CO² losses so you'll have to run a higher injection rate to reach the same level. I cycle my air pump on when the CO² turns off. Best of both worlds?
