U do realize he was a master & Palpatine was in power already & he didn't see any writing so your point would be completely mute. Add to that Qui-Gon was probably the weakest of the order so calling him a true jedi with all his mediation & calm was the 1st to get bodied by a Sith Lord that his Padawan beat at that beat & killed technically again & officially when he became a master himself. Qui-Gon unfortunately would've made no difference in the story cause regardless of teachings Anakin didn't trust anyone really even his best friend & brother didn't even know about his dreams or the events with his mother (add Ashoka too if we wanna add the tv series to the movies) u really think he would've told Qui-Gon shit? Hell no, Anakin also isn't smart & never realized his vision wont come true if he doesn't intervene + the fact he only has visions of 2 people he never suspected the Force may be involved in a malicious way. If he just told Obi-Wan (Padmé also could've told Obi-Wan but she may have felt it as a betrayal of trust) & asked him for help he could've used his rank to search the archives about this & gave Anakin an exact answer but also help him through it, his downfall was TRUST over everything else. He's the only one in Anakin's life (besides Padmé) that Anakin told about his Tusken Raider massacre. This isn't really a case of Sideous probing his mind for that information. Anakin told him about his closest step to the dark side before the war, his lowest point of his life at the time. There's absolutely no reason why he wouldn't have confided in the same person about one of the happiest days of his life, as well. Not saying he didn't probe his mind at all, but not for that. My interpretation is that what set Anakin off in that scene was, not that he knows that they're married, but that he's aware of visions of Padmé specifically being the one who does.

Palpatine even asked if Obi-wan had defeated Grievous to which the response was, "You are under arrest". Just shows how arrogant the Jedi were. Thinking that it will go down as it did 1000 years ago. If Mace and the other Jedi simply answered his question and said that they were to escort him to the Senate where he will renounce his emergency powers and step down, it might have gone down differently (but probably not). As Sidious was basically able to weaponize that attempted arrest as the Jedi simply fearing their loss of political power within the Republic. And thus a treasonous act. One used to justify the use of Order 66 in the public eye.
Exactly, The Sith had evolved, they had grown stronger over the last 1,000 years. Whereas the Jedi had become too dogmatic, too detached, arrogant, and they had only stagnated. In the ROTS novel Yoda began to realize that it wouldn’t have mattered even if he somehow had managed to best Palpatine in a duel, the Jedi had lost their way, and the lost the trust of the average people of the galaxy. The Sith had planned and prepared for how to take control of the Republic and take out the Jedi, whereas the Jedi had only trained to fight the last battle. He also realized that he had failed because he never allowed the Jedi Order to change.

I liked the novelization of Episode 3 better. In it, Anakin is aware, before Palpatine outright tells him, that the dark side might be able to help him save Padme. There are a bunch of Sith resources in the Jedi Temple, but only masters have access to them. When Palpatine appointed him to the council, he thought this would be his chance to save Padme. The last film was sadly a disaster because there decision to make it political and killing him off to the me to movement was a joke. The sequel trilogy...was just sadly disjointed. We all see what we want in media and I wonder what is it you take from star wars? There are an infinite number of valid reasons and the reason I'm probably over explaining is because I don't want to come off as being troolish, rather, as genuinely interested in what you mean.
@@lukechamberlain7790 what I was establishing is that in George Lucas vision of his creation Star Wars and his intention has been always veered to political manipulations when bought out by commercial enterprises like Disney. But again Disney was bought out from thee original inventor Walt Disney and multi corporations absorbed it into there agenda. Ie they put political messages into the story so people in current generation can relate. Manipulating and moving away from just story to political manipulation. So my concern and frustration is when moving away from George Lucas and his original intention into political persuasion makes the film not work for me robbing the characters and these suited corporate people lack genuine talent.
Yes he did even George Lucas himself said that Mace had Palpatine beaten, it was only when he sensed Anakin that he played the victim to further lure Anakin.
That's where you're wrong pal. Better wake up and turn off the fake news. Sounds like you can't tell truth from fiction on what's really going on over in Ukraine. I hope for your sake you stop drinking the Kool aid and start thinking for yourself. Not everything's as it seems these days.
Perhaps not during OT when he at first had an idea of Emperor. But during PT he had already decided Palpatine to be temptor/devil archetype in Star Wars.
Come on... Palpatine was a "Master Manipulator" because he had Mind Powers and everyone else in the series was as dumb as a brick wall. His "manipulation" of Anakin is like some cruel parent leading a 2yr old to the Doctor's office with the false promise of lollipops. (If that 2 year old had learning issues.) He could have said, "Yesss...there was a way....in ancient timmmessss... that allowed a Sith to save pregnant women from dying in childbirth...." and dumbass would have been "Really... Hey! I had a dream about Padme dying in childbirth... that's such a coincidence!!! Tell me more about this Sith business..." The Jedi are the dumbest characters of all... Lucas threw in some line about their use of The Force being diminished, that only went to show that without being told what to do by Space Magic they were totally useless at decision making and walked into every blindingly obvious trap that was laid out in front of them by a team of "Trap Layers" in uniform, and having shown their "Trap Laying" ID cards on the way in before constructing a big hole in the ground with spikes in it... they didn't even need to put a carpet over it to disguise the trap... the Jedi were lining up to jump in. There are ways to make a "Clever" character appear to be a super manipulator, the easiest of which is to simply make everyone else stupendously gullible, and unable to figure their way out of a room with an open door. That sets the bar for "Smart" at about the level of an untrained Border Collie. Then throw in someone with a really obvious, not very subtle "plan" but he has Mind Control powers, and you have a Genius at work... the problem is that when you make the disparity between the dumb victims and the smart villain so huge, even that Border Collie would be able to make Anakin do whatever it wanted.

Make what political ?
Sorry but this title goes to Kreia...
yeah king belongs to kreia ... her title is betrayer ..
I thing wrong with this Mace did actually BEAT palpetine
Yes he did even George Lucas himself said that Mace had Palpatine beaten, it was only when he sensed Anakin that he played the victim to further lure Anakin.
@@jamariojackson4289 that's what I said. I said that the only thing wrong with this is that he was wrong about palpatine throwing the fight.
@@thebonewarrior8757 I was agreeing with you.
Palpatine still did nothing wrong.
With current event in Ukrain and possible aggression by Russia, I am wondering if Palpatine is pulling the strings...
That's where you're wrong pal. Better wake up and turn off the fake news. Sounds like you can't tell truth from fiction on what's really going on over in Ukraine. I hope for your sake you stop drinking the Kool aid and start thinking for yourself. Not everything's as it seems these days.
Dark humor much?!
Get a good mic
Best character by accident. I seriously doubt george lucas knew what he was doing with this character.
Perhaps not during OT when he at first had an idea of Emperor. But during PT he had already decided Palpatine to be temptor/devil archetype in Star Wars.
@@matiasluukkanen7718 Even then, George did based The Emperor off of Richard Nixon
Come on...
Palpatine was a "Master Manipulator" because he had Mind Powers and everyone else in the series was as dumb as a brick wall.
His "manipulation" of Anakin is like some cruel parent leading a 2yr old to the Doctor's office with the false promise of lollipops. (If that 2 year old had learning issues.)
He could have said, "Yesss...there was a way....in ancient timmmessss... that allowed a Sith to save pregnant women from dying in childbirth...." and dumbass would have been "Really... Hey! I had a dream about Padme dying in childbirth... that's such a coincidence!!! Tell me more about this Sith business..."
The Jedi are the dumbest characters of all...
Then throw in
someone with a really obvious, not very subtle "plan" but he has Mind Control powers, and you have a Genius at work... the problem is that when you make the disparity between the dumb victims and the smart villain so huge, even that Border Collie would be able to make Anakin do whatever it wanted.
It's a good thing you liked your own comment, that way it gets atleast one like
