My first job was at Bridon and Fibres aka British Ropes I used to get quarterly news and updates but when the coal miners strike 1985-6 there was no orders coming in for a whole year and of people lost jobs and small subsidiary companies closed but I was lucky to work for Philip Morris international for another two years before joining Linpac Plastic containers those were the days.

Adding small amount of liquid-semi solid metal just before crimping will add greater strength & binding.

The number one question I have, is how do they add more wire to the rope when their making it? The wire on the spools can't last for ever.

The history of wire rope in the subtitles displayed at top left in the video explains wire rope over 3/8” is “rope”, under 3/8” is called “cable” or “cord”.

Yeah - they rob, replicate and replace. Then cheap out on the processes and final product to the point it's un-usable, garbage. That's why Chinese items are throw-away. They don't last. Use it once, twice and ditch it.
Had you bought one made by the OEM, they last and provide a lifetime of service. Chinese junk is just that - junk. But the western economies are addicted to it. Stupid, really.
Time to take back our industries.

@@X-Machines Well' if you have sound and picture on one recording and speed up the play you distort the picture and the sound becomes noise. kill the sound and voice over the sped-up picture. Personally, I have given up on any video that is sped up.
