- I just had 3 truck loads of gravel delivered this week. And Today I rented a skid steer to clear out an area and Spread the gravel to cover the entire area. It will be a nice little parking lot, where I can store a majority of my tractor implements and farm equipment.

Evan, you take to motorized equipment like those ducks dig your pond!
Love the new look hope your feeling better
You sure are not afraid to say what you don't know. You still get the job done.
Roundup will be your best friend with all that rock. Good job 👍🏼.
I was so happy to see a new video come up today. I think you are doing an awesome job!! I simply cannot tell you how many times I have watched and rewatched your videos. Some people have Netflix, I have Country View Acres and a few other awesome channels. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Having run skid steers in the past, I can tell you’re back must be doing much better if you were able to run that machine all day. They can be quite a handful when you’re just starting out. It’s been cool to watch your homestead grow, and to see you learning new things along the way. Thanks for taking us along for the ride!
Track skidsteers are not as rough as those on tires they're still rough but not as rough on as on tires..

Much better. Looks clean
Yeah I agree!
Looks neat and organized.
Very good job Evan for a 1st attempt with the skid steer
Where’s your Speedbinders, Evan? 😁 no roundup on those weeds? 🤣 good job with the skidsteer! What i love about your channel is all the hard work you and Rebecca are doing to return this farm to its former useful glory. Thank you! You guys rock!
A very worthwhile project, looks great.
Warehouse racking and some bucket forks will let you store the lighter stuff up on the racking giving you full access to everything quickly when needed. That the racking can also be used to help with fuel storage by having a tank high enough to gravity feed into the equipment is an added bonus.
You look like a pro driving that skid steer great job buddy
Andrew Camarata would be proud of you 😉👍
Evan see if you can find a hay bail elevator ,stack that hay up,110 plug in.your granddad would be proud
Really enjoy watching your video
Nice and organized 👍 proper farm 🇺🇸
Good job....I like your content and your humble approch...👍
well sure didn’t take you long to get the hang of that piece of equipment....good job!
Project turned out very nice.
Hi...... Evan, thank you for sharing your video homestead chicken farmer garden 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 👕🐔🐓🐥🐕🐖🐈🌱🎥👍👍👍
Watching this, Hannibal Smith from the A-Team came to mind .. I love it when a Plan comes together :)) .. well done!!
Great job. I enjoy looking at before and after projects.
Great set up ! Nice work with the skid steer for your first time 👍🤠
Some day you need to rent a shid-steer with a mulcher attachment.......You can make cut back a lot of that overgrowth and undergrowth............Make short work of it........
You might keep an eye out for skid-steers for sale/auctions/etc......They are very handy around the farm(s)
Awesome job. Looks good. Looks nice and clean.
some orange paint on the high-line pole might help to see it , never have enough rock, a small plow is great for making a fire guard and you could fit a seeder box on the packer to plant alfalfa or other small seeds , have a cousin in law who worked for napa and he watched a demo on concrete anchors and the epoxy anchors actually pulled out the concrete around them!!!
Honestly? You drove that skid steer better than some people I've seen and even better placing those concrete slabs on the lower side. Thumbs Up.
Great video 🇺🇸‼️👍🏻
You did a good job making a place for the equipment and they will be under the light. you handled the skid steer well and did a good job. You are getting the farm in great shape.
Just a suggestion. .. we moved a closed up pole shed about a mile, across a highway monted on a couple about 8" trees under the side walls braced them apart with some junk lumber so they wouldn't shift together. ..chained to the logs under the sidewalls and just pulled it... so it sat on a rectangle with some triangles in the corners.. no stress on the shed... just dragged the logs.. worked fine...
Great job, honestly LOVE your videos. . You are so humble so willing to admit/show your mistakes..... makes the rest of us "look smart" ^5 THANK YOU..
@ 3:45 slick move with the slab, some guys might have had that slab on there lap trying that.
JudithB Looks really good!!! I would park the trailers across the front of the first line of old equipment. It would be easy to pull on the gravel and back to whichever trailer you want and then pull on to gravel from in front of the compost bins to repark the trailer. I made a large parking area 12 yrs ago when adding my business shop at the end of my house. There is parking for 3 trailers and a 35' rv that needs a lot of room to move around. I put 4" shale down and then 4" gravel on top, now it is covered in grass and easy to mow. I put sheet plastic under the small trailers to keep grass and weeds out. The plastic has to be replaced every few years but saves me jockeying trailers every week or so!!! LOL
i lijk jour videos very mats evan
your getting better with it makes you want to have a loader on a tractor to do little dirt work along
Ya do good work. Moving the junk metal and trash around you are eventually going to find where the bodies are buried. Lol. You amaze me with what you guys get done and you with a hurt back. Keep on keepin on. Blessings.
Looks great, will be handy
Glad to see you are better, but looks like you need to slow down a bit. Is Rebecca going have to quit her job and stay home to watch you ? Lol. But I must say what you did with the gravel really looks nice. Your old great, great, great grandpa would really be proud with what you are doing there. The fact that you are not doing things just to get them done , but doing things that looks nice and will hold out a very long time. I will continue praying for you and what you want to accomplish. Love the videos, wish they could be longer. God bless you and your family.
You did a great job on it
Awesome and stay safe
You should get a skid steer
For never using a skidsteer you did an amazing job!
Looks great.
Good job Evan. Equipment area looks great.
Crushed concrete also keys together and locks in more stable than limestone the quarry you got the limestone from probably also produces aglime which is a little more expensive because of the extra screening process to manufacture...
Aglime is used to increase soil PH on acidic soils
Looking good!!!
Looks awesome and organized. Hope your back gets better soon.
Hi Evan ,greetings from Queensland Australia ,Im sitting in my comfortable recliner chair watching you work your beautiful family home thinking(I must get off my butt and go get the washing in and grab some veg out of the garden and get dinner organised ) but hey might just have to wait a few minutes more you make work look easy .glad to see your back is getting better.
👍 Looking good.
Always wanted to learn to operate bobcat!
Always love those drone shots. BTW, Just watched your 4 y o video that came up after I'd watched this one, before you both moved in filmed with a very shaky camera. Nice to see how it use to look.🙂
Your parking pad turned out really nice.
Nice effort!!
nice job
Build a grizzly and save that nice topsoil for your vege gardens
Evan....very impressed for your 1st time on the skid steer. Looking forward to seeing the hanger on the pad. Nice work.
Hey bud, as a guy with a bad back I can tell yours is feeling much better. That is so good. Your place looks like it is a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
You definitely looked like you knew what you were doing. Never doubt yourself, go in Like you do know what you are doing. Please do be careful with your back. Joice
Here's hoping you're blessed with finding a skid steer you can afford to buy so you don't have to rent one!! They're a useful tool to have around
Great to see you moving around better. 🙂
Great job....especially for a novice!!
Well done!,
Are you planning to have a few loads of rock delivered for the back area? A dump truck could back up and drop loads at the concrete pad back edge. Looking forward to the car port move.
Your back seems better.
Looks 👍
You did a great job of driving the skider
Good to see the light on the pole, I wanted to see you drag it up a ladder and attach it, where’s that vid?
There is a video on hanging the light. Its been a few weeks ago.
Happy Tuesday !
I have operated bobcats, new holland and cat skid steers. The best by far is bobcat.
...GOOD ONE,STAY SAFE...
we always keep a coffee can around with some used motor oil in it and an old paint brush. When we park items like the disk or plow, give it a coat of oil to help slow down rusting. Also handy to oil any working chains on equipment before using.
It looks great! Glad to see out and moving, and that your back is better
Load up all that old metal and head to a scrap yard. A few extra bucks and will clean up another area.
The equipment storage area is looking really good. Nice work! A little more gravel for the backside will keep the weeds at bay. :)
use some 2x6s one on edge another flat on top for skids. brace with 2x4s. temporarily fasten car port to skids and then you can drag to new location.
Finished product looks pretty good for a rookie.
Nice job. Looks like a full day of work. I need to do the same thing. I have stuff sitting in 4’ weeds.
Pretty good driving for a first timer! The parking area looks great!
Good job Evan, looks good and you’ll enjoy your parking space. Thanks for sharing with us, Fred.
Great ideas for your implements Evan, you looked like a pro when you were finished on the skid-steer.
Maybe not available in your area but if a person has access to it crush and run concrete is better to use to top off your limestone with... the fines from virgin crush and run limestone never really settle out
But crush and run concrete thosw fines will work under the larger pieces of concrete and your vehicle and feet stay cleaner. Just a suggestion
I trust your back is continuing to get better...
I sure like this fella and his property. Anybody know what they do for a living
I work industrial maintenance fixing automation equipment. I am a hands on kind of b person. My wife is a registered nurse.
@@CountryViewAcres I see. I grew up in Central Illinois. Love the videos. Take care.
Thx
wow i know youre glad to finally have that done
It looks good, I would have never guessed that you we're brand-new at running that skid steer. That place looks so different than the first time I saw it.
As always, I am very impressed by the job you do! / Mats
You look like a pro on the Skid steer. Good job.
Long time no see (video). Hope all is well.
You're really whittling away at your list of improvements! It'll be great to have a nice place to park your implements. Your homestead is looking good!
Nice job, looks good. What a pain having to do the musical chairs thing when cutting grass! Nothing worse than bending over in summer heat wrestling those things by yourself lol
I think you did a great job handling that skid steer and the site area came out really good!!
I've always wondered why former owners stacked old things like they did. You have a stack of old metal. I'm dealing with a stack of old glass in my field. I'm so afraid I'm going to slice a tire some day because someone years ago was too lazy to dispose of the glass properly. I enjoy your videos.
Looks good sir :)
You might want to run around on your gravel with your roller/packer to help pack down the gravel some so it won't settle as much.
I've never run a skid steer myself, but it looks to me like you did a fine job with it. The equipment area is looking real nice. If you weren't so far away I would consider possibly buying some of your equipment that you won't use. I'm not in a position at the moment to need any of that stuff, but I'm sure that I would one day put it to use.
Great job Evan !!
I couldn't tell you hadn't used it be4. Looked like a pro. Me, on the other never used one be4. You got the place snapping up real good. I got my eye on a small place. 6.33 acre tract. Virgin property. Trees galore. I just might get into vlogging with it. Great job.
looks great and clean. It looks like some more room on the left side. another load of gravel spread out and you have more space if needed.
You did pretty good job
Looks great!!!
Progress😊
