Another great break down Jermaine. Solid analysis of Luis’s swing and strong suggestion on kids interested in playing in college to level it out and play to the middle of the field and work a swing that plays. No loop, scoop and power only hit or miss swing. 11 degree angle! I see kids at 28 to 38 degree bat angle launches and your thinking what are you doing… really! How about putting the ball in play. Arraez is a fantastic hitter. He’s a modern day Tony Gwynn. A true craftsman with the bat. A witch with a stick!

A-B hitting, hitting to all fields, staying balanced and connected at contact. Have very few holes in your swing.

Please reach out to Keston Hiura. Professional hitter at every level until he fell in love with the long ball

It’s a shame that players dodge what got them to the big leagues to do something different. I mean the game nowadays rewards players who only hit home runs but it’s not for everyone.

I’m a Twins fan and I couldn’t believe they let him go for some pitchers that only play 1:5 games.

Why was Pujols and Bonds strikeout percentage so low even tho they had big time power unlike Arraez?

Teacherman Hitting does some great breakdowns of both Bonds and Pujols swings. The video shows both of them used the high level pattern swing. The swing is the opposite of what most hitting coaches teach, but when it’s mastered, it’s devastating. Judge, Trout, Wisdom, are just a few others that use that swing.

Hey Julio, those hitters were one of a kind. They had it all. They had high baseball hitting iq's like no other plus they had unreal hitting approaches, bat speed, super great hand eye coordination, and they had great swings. They were the total package.
With that being said, they knew how to hit and then developed bat speed and power. And I believe later in Luis Arraez career he will hit for power as well.

Is this guy a contender to get the .400 season average mark?!

I honestly don't think we would ever see that again. However, many people have doubted him and his ability, and look at him now. So I wouldn't underestimate him.

That swing looks like teacherman’s high level pattern swing. Same as Judge
