  • Struggling to hit for a high average in baseball? Hitters at any level are asked to do the same thing over and over. Hitting is a skill, no matter if it's Little League or at the MLB level, the objective is to put the bat on the baseball. Today, I want to help you understand what you need to do to become a consistent hitter at any level.
    Baseball players of all ages and skill levels strive to hit consistently each time they step up to the plate. But only the best hitters in baseball have learned how to hit for a high average. The first part of hitting consistent is having a solid approach at the plate, as well as knowing how to adjust that approach as necessary in any particular at bat. The second part of hitting consistent is knowing what your swing is built for, and you need to know exactly what type of pitch you're looking for before you go up to the plate.

    You ever practice hitting Homeruns off the pitching machine throwing 95MPHPLUS Jermaine that would be a Great video to see like a Homerun derby
    Just make contact catch it out in front little underneath bottom half to lift it over the fence line drives lead to Homeruns,let the pitcher provide the power and be early.
    Would love to see that Jermaine

    Hey Jermaine, do you have any videos or drills that can help me work with my upper half, specifically my elbows and shoulders. Sometimes, I either have my right elbow (I'm a right-handed hitter) down or really high, and I can have trouble twisting enough sometimes. Thanks if you can help and for you great content.

    Hey Jermaine, In your opinion which is more important, a good approach or a good swing? Thanks.

      Good approach. Period.
      A good approach can make you into a good hitter if you're swing is bad.

    can you talk about the importance of having the bat vertical before swinging please, I have a bad habit of putting the bat horizontal shortly before starting the swing

    Great teaching and entertaining too!
    In this video you first teach to be early. Then you say that you should let the ball travel deep for better average. How do you reconcile these two ideas?

    • @JermaineCurtis55
      @JermaineCurtis55  2 роки тому

      Getting the front foot down early is what I meant, my apologies. If you're front foot gets down late, the lower half will collapse. Or in other words, you'll get off balanced. And letting the ball get deeper is your point of contact of where you are hitting the ball.
