hey lemming, I got my first pools medal thanks to what I learnt from your videos and a little luck. Basically if out numbered fall back, relocate and fight again instead of staying and dying. It was a medal I felt I earned and I dedicate that win to you. I'll share the replay with you soon. thank you again.
Watching your videos has really transformed my play lemming :) I went from 2k WN8 to 4k WN8 (recent stats) in a month, and I have kept 4k consistently now for nearly a thousand battles. Yet, with every video you post, I still learn more and more. This video was insanely helpful for a map I generally despise, and I’m really looking forward to the south spawn video too. Keep up the great work mate :)
Great video! I'd like to add a few things about playing in the city: *make use of the reload that enemies have after firing at your allies. Your heavies have armor for a reason, so they have chance to bounce. In a medium you have less or none, so make use of your allies in that way as well. *also make use of your dpm. a lot of mediums have shorter reload then heavies, so you can shoot them twice for every shot they put into you. This counts for both city and field: *make sure as much enemies as possible are spotted, so you can predict or see what they are going to do, so you can safely take shots at enemies. examples you can see enough in the video's LR made so far, as he uses a great aggressive concept. This counts for field: *when you've won the upper corner fight (A1/2-D1/2), calculate how many td's you can expect to be covering base. A lot of times it is much safer to fall back when reaching this point and defend the base, or start supporting your allies to win the city. You will leave the td's wasting their guns in their base, while you could create a bigger advantage in amount of tanks you have in the end to secure their base.
Thank you very much for these videos. It really gives us insight of deeper strategies and positioning, which I find the most important as I progress and try to be better at this game. Well done, and keep them coming!
I am not a great player by any means, but since I have stated watching your videos, and learning tactics, I have brought my WN8 up over 1k points. I am now at 1234. Thank you so much for your videos! They have actually made the game more enjoyable for me
Also be careful when playing city in a medium. Teams get mad you didn't go to the traditional medium spots, and sometimes try to punish you by pushing you out into enemy fire, or outright shooting you. Seen this a lot.
happens to me everytime. I once wanted to help our E100 with my Centurion 7/1 and got 5 kills there and what happens next: An IS7 constantly pushing me around and into the enemy fire. gg IS7
ye some people are stupid... if only 1 player goes to the medium side they want you to go with them aswell even though hes fighting 5 different tanks so if i try to help we both die -,- and if you dont do it they just tk you
you can't fix stupid, even if they are doing almost nothing, wouldn't it be better if you just do a fake harmless near enemy fire push and then let them back up and then tell them that they would be needed in the other area. Anyways, it'd be a waste of hit points
I like how you offer choices, decision trees and pro v. con type advice. I'm a tier 5 scrublord, so being able to find multiple ways to be useful is job 1 (since I'm almost always bottom tier). Thanks!
Thanks Lemming, good video and good tips. One thing I'd like to add. If you go city in a medium, please don't get in the way of side-scraping heavies. It's good way to get wrecked, as well as prevent the friendly heavy from fighting effectively. Finally, I'm with Circonflexes on this map...blech...really not a good map. Good guide, though :-)
I learn things from every one of your videos, mostly I learn I will never be this good. Great videos either way though, especially the humor. That dammm 704.
I have to practice facing away to get away faster. I usually play heavies but am trying out med's and lights. Totally different game play. Thanks for the help!!!
I'm glad someone else prefers pushing J instead of K from town. Good tips, will steal a little of your insight on some of those positions, although most of them are familiar I like your thought process in eliminating first the positions that counter them.
Banana Cannon I agree that J is better than K. That said, in my experience most pushes from the city I see end in pointless decimation. The strategic advantage I see with the city is the ability to snipe the south base campers. In my opinion, if you have any amount of speed, going back north to clear the base and field is a better use of your tank. If you don't have speed, I'd still go back north of it looks like field might lose. If the field has won, and is about to push in, I'll stay in/near the city to get side shots as the campers are spotted, and then slowly push in purely to farm damage. But I very rarely see a southern push actually accomplish anything worth praising.
The guy in his training room, PirateNinjaJB, what a name. I wonder if it is a Modern Rogue inspired name, they talk about pirateninjas in some videos and their names are Jason and Brian
Hey Lemming Rush, could you do a medium/light tank guide for Kharkov? personally it's the most difficult map to play in a fast lightly armoured vehicle.
I love that map in my mediums, heres my one piece of advice, play the north, but also look for flanking shots into the middle, that tends to do well overall though, dont be afraid to adapt to what mm gives you because the map isnt consistent
Great guide, LR. After discovering you I watch you mostly. Quickybaby is entertaining for a while, but you need to learn situational awareness far more than armor thickness, therefore you are far superior teacher - if one wants to excel in this game.
Thanks for the map analysis. I really like the map vid idea. I see you mentioned playing from C1 as NE spawn. I tried it but it seems to make you a focus for the enemy. I've tried playing from C2/D2 just east of (and downhill from) the dirt road. This seems to make me take fewer shots and gives me the ability to manage my fire and exposure into A1/B1, D1. However it makes me more exposed to any enemy on the E line. The flip side is that I also get an angle on anyone on E line. Thoughts on this position vs C1?
what do you think about the changes to batchat when it becomes HD model? I mean the it is only in the supertest, so the changes might not even happen, but still...
Hey lemming, how do you know when to push a fight? How do you pick and choose the fights you can win and the fights you cant? also great video, i really need help with playing highway because of how bad the map actually is ;-;
In another video he talks about counting tanks. If one flank your team has a 5v4 and nother a 4v5 (Your team/Enemy team) and you are an excess of one, meaning you will add 1 extra tank to a flank, then help push the 5v4 and make it into a 6v4. Obviously your tier and tank mean a lot in the fight though. Hope that helps.
Obviously need to take into account the type of tanks on that flank and the hp of friendly and enemy tanks. e.g. don't want to suicide helping 5 low teammates against 4 full hp super heavies :P I mean it is possible if the enemy is incompetent but still, very difficult and risky haha
I'd say that's a fantastic question you've asked there and I actually wish Lemming would've replied to this himself but I guess what I can offer here is to, think about it; meaning, if your side is getting totally outnumbered, then you will probably die trying to stick it out so leave. If you are totally outnumbering them, then that's likely a fight you can decisively win and do it. I like to think of it like natural, forces, if you will, where a huge enemy force should 'repel' you away because otherwise it's huge and will destroy you. I'm really tired but just looking at the map and observing which side is making any progress or losing ground will be pretty clear too, a lot of the time patience is needed in understanding that in random standard battles a lot of tug of war goes on over cities and shit and to be wary of that before saying it's just lost, or vice versa
I think WG should pay you for the map tactics videos you put up. Especially since they don't put any work into any type of content to help out novice players get better, or learn the basics.
LeadLemming I'm going to make a video about it tonight and upload tomorrow I believe. If I did it now it wouldn't be good. Any idea what the latest news on it is?
Please leave td drivers alone, defensive positions is what most of these vehicles were designed for. Some of us dont have the hand tp eye to play mobile vehicles. Wargaming campain against tds has been unfair from certain segments of ace community contributors. If im in my glass cannons i will be far enough back to not be spotted ... not camping just positioning so i can get a second shot off .
Camping at beginning of map is fine. But a key to great TD:s is those who know when to push. And those aren't many. Most TD:s are far too passive. They often whine about not getting spots, then when they do, they do not cover the spotter. Of course this is lower tiers mostly. TD:s on upper tiers are generally better.

Thank you for going through this map! Always gives me trouble :)

By far the best map review i've ever seen
great job
Very helpful!! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!
Hello,I just want to say that you are my favorite player in WOT ,just keep doing well like now,sry for english, btw all best from CROATIA
Thanks Lemming, good video and good tips.

YA interesting and instructive video.
Thanks!
wow, great video - please keep making them for other (all!!) maps!
Your best video yet, LR. I look forward to more in this series (it is a series, right???)
Nice tutorial for Highway, ty.
Very helpful for that side of the map. How about the other side? Thanks!
Thanks for the advice. One day I might get better.
The guy in his training room, PirateNinjaJB, what a name. I wonder if it is a Modern Rogue inspired name, they talk about pirateninjas in some videos and their names are Jason and Brian

Great tutorial, you are EXACTLY RIGHT ...A 1 is a death trap. I know , look at my stats and there is proof ! lol Learned something thanks.
what do you think about the changes to batchat when it becomes HD model? I mean the it is only in the supertest, so the changes might not even happen, but still...
Thanks for that: helpful.
thank's for the info!
holy fucking shit i love this channel
Thanks for the advice, I usually go to 1:49 and see what you mean now.

There are to many ads on this channel evry 3 minutes pops an add
please do fiery salient map review with heavies with no gun depression (Russian) i'm struggling :(
LR doesnt play heavies.
I don't see why some UA-camrs think this is a terrible map, I don't mind it at all.
Have you heard of the BC rework? What do you think? I find it a nerf/homogeniticising act. Big drums is not allowed anymore it seems
Richard Gustafsson bad. If I wanted a tvp id play the tvp
what, I finally got a BC, and they're nerfing it???? FFS...
Hey lemming, since you're using a batchat for this video, what are your thoughts on the proposed bat rework?
I think WG should pay you for the map tactics videos you put up. Especially since they don't put any work into any type of content to help out novice players get better, or learn the basics.
Thx lemming! it was very helpful. I personally think highway is one of the worst maps in the game
can you do cliff next, i almost never have good games on it.
i can do 3.4k wn8 average but only do about 1k dmg on cliff in tier 10s
also i 3 marked the t54 yesterday
2nd tank that i have 3 marked
#feelsgoodman
I hated my T54. if you could slap an Object 140 turret and gun on to a T54 hull, that would be playable.
Lemming, How do you think about the Bat getting shit on.
LeadLemming I'm going to make a video about it tonight and upload tomorrow I believe. If I did it now it wouldn't be good. Any idea what the latest news on it is?
Nothing really. Btw did you get a message from _OtCst_ in game?
i cant find your stats on wotlab?
ChefTomKill he plays in na server. Maybe u need to change that.
finally batshit nerf
could you make a is7 video after the buff?I'd really like to know how to play this kind of a tank
A slightly disappointing nigger lol,is7 doesn't need tactics, just follow your heavys and prey to stalin to giud your shot
I like your name
