Good video. You talk about a concept that I am trying to apply more and more...knowing when to push and not to push a flank. There are a lot of maps with big fights that once you win, you're tempted to keep going (east side of Pilsen is a great example). Sometimes pushing on is the right play, but often it's a terrible idea. Reading the circumstances and understanding the potential (often unseen) threats you are facing is really important. Getting that thought process into my head in the heat of the moment...there's the real trick.
DUDE!!! You are 100% THE BEST advisor on how to play this game. The first Pilsen game I played with amx30 proto after watching this vid i got an Ace Tanker and 5k dmg thanks to your advice. You're the Maestro of this game. Thank you!
I have to say, your thumbnails are very recognizable with unique style. I always know it's your video in my subscription feed just by looking at the thumbnails. Great commentary as always!
I really like how you mentioned the artillery time. I never really gave much thought into the speed of artillery and setting up. I usually just assume its up and aimed at me at all times until proven otherwise.
Knowing when the arty will start shooting at you is super useful because it allows you to be super agressive for the first minute or so of the game, once theyre shooting you have to back off, but you can get a free 1k damage without having to worry about arty if youre quick about positioning
I enjoy this map as well. But as Svetlomir Dimitrov32 mentioned in an earlier comment the 1-4 line is hard for some. Its so easy to just see teams crumble for no reason. Swamp is another map I like playing in fast meds or lights. There's no set paths, lots of hard cover. You can get away with going either side in any tank and most importantly I find it very defendable. Thanks and keep up the good vids.
Swamp is sort of set on EU server. Heavies going from north to castle usually end in crossfire from TDs/meds camping behind ridge line, from fast bold medium putting them into crossfire from the other side (it's high risk, high reward position, without cover they will die) and from heavies facing them head-on. At the same time going directly to the north from south base is suicide unless you have fast tank with really good camo. Otherwise you risk being clipped by TVP, hit by grille etc. And yet you can end in crossfire against hulldown mediums on the hill. Sometimes people try to use middle with success, gain map control and fight over ridge line. But I like swamp.
Swamp is so easy and the rule is:"Whoever crosses the river/swamp/water first have 90% or more chances to loose. Like Erlenberg." First part of the match: you wait and put some effective crossfire. Second part of the match: you attack, preferably through the middle but that's not set in stone. Variation: If you have 10 heavies and the opponents 1, you can directly attack the other side from the start. So easy.
again, thanks so much. i so enjoy your commends and layouts. learned so much from your vids!! you are way out of the league of Moral-knight Q.fingers, Mr greybeard and rascal Sir. Hav etc etc....
lol, QB has 400,000 people eagerly waiting to be offended at the slightest rude or elitest comment of his, cant blame him for being so PC Youre very welcome for the video xd
I appreciate the video, it is easily understood and your map strat at the end clarifies your points quite nicely. However you only talk about 1 spawn but this map (and all the others) has 2 sides. So while I now have a better understanding of how to win on Pilsen from the south, not so much from the north. Your vid title "How to Win Games on Pilsen" needs a subtitle "if you spawn in the south". Would it be possible to do both sides in one vid or maybe do a part 2 and talk about the other side? Thanks.
Would love to see you also explain how to fight this map from the enemy's perspective. Is it then just as important to take the house? just a tip for following videos :)
i know you just did a video with the city with an E5. Basically face the heavies directly and sidescrape them. It would also be good to see how to play that map as a T10 when you are basically part of the very few top tier heavies and they have super strong heavies. I mean you cant face or sidescrape an E75 with a T10 especially if a Tiger2 is also sidescraping behind him so where to go?
Aced my RU251 on this map, just went into the heavy area and played conservatively while heat spamming the heavies. 3500 damage, 4 kills, and some assistance.
Great video. I hate this map, I usually get it in a light or medium and go 0 line, but I find there are too many angles for me to watch constantly, like the Ruinberg little town on the hill which I also have a lot of trouble with. The other big problem on this map for me is that I usually get it when I'm bottom tier as well, and I play a lot of different tanks, some of which are no where near as mobile as I need to play this map. I will use what I learned from this video, probable the best one I have seen on this map, to do better in the future, who knows, maybe I will learn to like it.
Great video again, learned a lot again even with my 31k battles ;) For your BC25t, i suppose Vents, VStab, but Optics or GLD ? (i spend my time switching)
I do the same as him in running food. With vents, food and BIA the aim time is roughly 2.4, which makes GLD unnecessary since the inter-magazine reload in 2.73. At the same time, running food without optics will get your view range over 445. It just depends if you want crazy view range (mine is 490) or good view range with a slightly better chance at hitting snapshots.
optics is a must with bc scouting capabilities, vstab also is a must, so its between vents and gld, I prefer gld to improve worst thing on batchat - gunhandling
When I was 3 marking it I ran 2 setups, just for fun VStab, GLD and Vents (food of course) and VStab GLD and Optics Personally I noticed absolutely no difference between the two, IF youre going to play without food, I think view range is extremely important.. View Range perks and vents and food are my ideal setup because the view range is good enough (like 460 or something). With optics, bia, food and view range perks its like 490.. overkill for the current maps IMO
I usually try to win city cause most of the times win city = win game, considering that if they win the 9-0 line I can come back and reset the cap on the ridge line from the city.
As always a great vid for me as Im definitely one of the people who hates this map, as I have never thought of it the way that you showed it. I now know how to handle it as a med or light I think and a TD will its just camp time waiting for the people who dont subscribe to you lol. As some others have asked can you do a heavy tip session for this I know its mostly trade your shots well, but what are the better sight lines to try and do.
Yeah t8 light tanks generally shouldn't spot, unless the map is well suited for it, and there aren't lower tier light tanks. You have good dpm and mobility and it's a waste to just do spotting without dealing dmg.
I suggest you watch the team setup before deciding. It also depends wether you play an heavily armored td or not. Armored td's and td's with great camo can be very helpfull on the 1-2 line. Td with good gun depression have good positions on both flanks. This counts on both sides.
I wouldn't drive a heavy TD into the med side of the map due to the usual gold spam and sky cancer, farming heavies isn't hard provided the other team doesn't get too aggressive.
PRATEEK SHASHANK go city and look for opportunities to flank, or punish poking heavies. You can either clear the 1 or 4 line and get side shots into the brawling heavies. If they have TDs be careful because they love to camp the 1 line and blap anyone there. If you need to defend its relatively easy to do from the 3-4 line ridge and setup a crossfire like Lemming showed in the vid.
every random game in the same map have different approach or tactics, it also depends on your teammates and enemies abilities. please show us again with a clan war in this map with at least 3 attempts to do what you have discuss here.
Just had that explained to me in the forums. I don't know if it's my fault or shoddy WG information distribution. I'm just glad that I got a quick answer. One person even told me where exactly to find the feature in settings. Thanks for the input man
This map plays itself until at least half way through the battle as this is a typical map where heavies go here, meds and scouts go there while tds have their thumbs up their ass as usual. I would enjoy the medium and scout area more if there was no sky cancer.
LemmingRush, why don't you inform your team when you are reloading....i don't know how many times I have died because an autoloader was reloading and I expected them to fire at the enemy....knowledge is power.....also many times I will help my big and slow SPG's get into location faster so they can set up to fire much quicker than the enemy expects.
found this extremely helpful for a map that i considered a pure city map in disguise. thanks for improving my play in the field: wotreplays.com/site/3439479#pilsen-y_knt-comet

Thats the goal! Gotta get me them views so I can buy myself unhealthy amounts of pizza and donuts :)))
Best WoT youtuber as far as how to play maps/tanks.
I like your style, straight to the point.
thanks :)
Excellent strategy tuition as usual.... if i can just take away 10%. Beautiful to watch and listen to many thx
I usually play kinda like this but I don't really think about it. I really like the way you explain the plays.
Good logic assessment. In my view, a skilled and good manner for people to improve their game.
Thanks for the strat advice Lemming...helps a tomato like me, learn to be less of a tomato! Keep up the great work dude!

Yeah I'll definitely try to use that.
Another excellent How to video, a 2nd video explaining north spawn and/or city play would also be much appreciated!
I love your map videos. More please! You make the game more interesting for plebs like us haha.
Thanks! I actually have some difficulty with Pilsen, this guide was very helpful.
Thank you so much for this video, helped alot. Please continue making "how to win on maps" videos ☺
I love that Strat Sketch at the end of the videos. Keep them coming! - Liberty75
Will do :) thanks!

Youre welcome!
Another great video, thanks for doing this!
Cheers!
Any chance of an updated version of this video?
nice video. Love your content and keep up the great work

Youre very welcome for the video xd
to be fair he has 400,000 subs because he's so un-opinionated. it also means that most of his content is average at best.
More of these how to win videos please :)

Thanks for the guide I always wonder where to go on this map to get damage. I crindge when it comes up if I am in a light or a paper armor TD.
Aced my RU251 on this map, just went into the heavy area and played conservatively while heat spamming the heavies. 3500 damage, 4 kills, and some assistance.
Yea well we all know youre a noob killswitch

Great vid man really helpful. Wish you would cover how to fight from both sides tho
On most maps I havent felt the need to because its basically mirrored
Great video once again. Tks
Looks like the map changed significantly since you made this guide? The buddings on the 0 line aren't there anymore, and the middle area changed.
Great job :), waiting form more, thumbs UP :)
ps. maybe any tutorial for M41 90 gf :)
What can I say....excellent. Thanks.
that feeling when you live in Pilsen :))
Good vid, new watcher, new subscriber.
1:50 ITS OVER ANAKIN I HAVE THE HIGH GROUND

A heavy video is a good idea, thanks for that :)
much respect for the vids
is it worth it to try spot in a light tank? And if not...it's adviced to play the light tank as a medium...right? (lights like the ru 251, wz-132)
Yeah t8 light tanks generally shouldn't spot, unless the map is well suited for it, and there aren't lower tier light tanks. You have good dpm and mobility and it's a waste to just do spotting without dealing dmg.
Play as support and just stay alive till later in the battle, scouts are valuable for mopping up low health targets even on this map.
nice, keep the good work going :-)
would I play similarly in a light tank on this map? Be it one of the lower tier French autoloaders, or others?
yea, same thing just know the limitations of your tank
LemmingRush thank you!
If you are a td in south, what is better to go city, mid or 9-0 line?
I suggest you watch the team setup before deciding. It also depends wether you play an heavily armored td or not. Armored td's and td's with great camo can be very helpfull on the 1-2 line. Td with good gun depression have good positions on both flanks. This counts on both sides.

Hi i love your videos.. Can you make video how to win team battles for every map? thank you verry much for everithing you do :)
This map got updated.
How can play this map with a slow auto loader like T57?
PRATEEK SHASHANK go city and look for opportunities to flank, or punish poking heavies. You can either clear the 1 or 4 line and get side shots into the brawling heavies. If they have TDs be careful because they love to camp the 1 line and blap anyone there. Isn't that kind of cheap that at 13:16 you have something telling you that you were spotted before your 6th went off?
No. That's the spot alert that you've spotted someone not spotted before.
Just had that explained to me in the forums. I don't know if it's my fault or shoddy WG information distribution. I'm just glad that I got a quick answer. One person even told me where exactly to find the feature in settings. Thanks for the input man
i guess we found TodSoldat then
No, you found his sock
oh right, do you know how i can get it back to him?
great video :)
Off Topic but would you say the AX is worth the shitty 7/1 grind?
Taint oh yes
Do you have any AX videos on your channel? I just found some 2 year old "FV4202" grind gameplays^^
Taint I don't but I played cent ax today and had a yt worthy game. I'll work on putting more of that tank on here. it's super fun
That would be great, feels like I watched all of the AX footage on yt :P
This map plays itself until at least half way through the battle as this is a typical map where heavies go here, meds and scouts go there while tds have their thumbs up their ass as usual. I would enjoy the medium and scout area more if there was no sky cancer.
How to win... you mean only with mediums?
Great tips, but video seems to be kinda choppy for me. Is it just me?
May you say the time when you see the chopping?
LemmingRush My mistake. A second view proves that everything is smooth. The video isn't choppy. My bad. XD
It's a factory complex, not a city.
Can i see the video where you made us lose a game, cos you didnt carry HE... plz plox i wanna see that gameplay video.
lol, it's funny when a guy with a bought account thinks he's better than an actual good player. oh and no, he would not have killed the vk.
its tru punich them but its not a teamplay game in a lote of battels :(
I saw a certain someone playing their conq cgc today, i was utterly disappointed :'(
Awesome Guy312 lol
Fisherman's bay pls

What do you mean double vision? I dont understand
Yeah I play when I'm drunk too.

LOL LEMMING I WAS PLAYING THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL ANTHEM AFTER THE STREAM AND I 2 MARKED MY 140 XD
FOR STALINNN
That as so fun last night.. xd congrats btw
The lack of a city on this map combined with how many times you say city... *shudder*
must... kill... purple...
Wow they really butchered this map with the update, it really was a lot more fluid before it was reworked.
Lowe your vids.
So many fucking ads
