I’ve been watching your videos since high school and I was accepted to medical school yesterday!! Thank you for all the help over the years!!
Congrats!!!
Have an interview for medschool this Friday - the timing was perfect! :D
Samantha Hentosh good luck!! 😊👩🏻⚕️
Good luck!!! You will do great!!
How was it?
Samantha Hentosh Awesome! Good luck!
Great video! Loved it! I don't have interviews but I'm here for the tips (which are super-usefull for any student)
Such great tips! Thank you!
I have my first med school interview at the end of the month. This was so helpful!
We need more videos! 😭
Great video! Could you make a video about how to be more energetic or come off more energetic in a work place? It's something that I struggle with and I would love your perspective.
Thank you for these!!!
Please make a video on your updated study schedule! Xx
You also flew airplanes? wow, I am just speechless Dr. Tooley! You are amazing!! thank you for your wonderful advice!
Great video! Your so inspirational, I love watching your vidoes. Would it be possible for you to make a video talking about how you balance your personal life along with your career. As a doctor, especially with residency and fellowships, your not always gonna be in charge with where your career takes you. Has that ever effected your relationships?
Thank you so much Dr. Tooley for the tips, really appreciated your insight! I had a residency interview recently and learned my lesson. One tip I have is for the ladies, make sure to keep feminine hygiene products with you, stress can ensue all kinds of hormones.
Great tip!
I am a veteran. So I'm planning to wear Air Force class A uniform to my interview.
What about a pattern blouse ?
Residency!!!
What are your thoughts on hand gestures? I talk a lot with my hands!
I do too! I think as long as it's natural and authentic it is fine. Just don't be too over the top
For some reason whenever I stand up for too long I get so dizzy and nauseous! Does that mean I can’t become a surgeon because they need to do quite a lot of standing? :/
WinnieThe Pooh09 if you lock your knees for too long of a period you will pass out. Idk if you've tried this, but when you stand bend your knees slightly. I learned this from being in marching band, hope this helps
Loretta Lee thank you!!!!
How long exactly do you mean by "too long"? There are many jobs that require a lot of standing, not only being a surgeon. If it's just a circulation problem, maybe try compression socks, marching in place, keeping your self well hydrated, and eating snacks.
seapinkoyster sometimes an hour sometimes less or more. But thanks for the tips!!!!
Definitely compression socks, full length (look like a pantyhose) for surgeries. Hope they help!
How do u shadow another doctor
Jada Bal usually they will be more accepting if you are in college. But just call the clinic or physician and ask if they are open to it!
God bless you
Can you give advice for residency interviews now that you are on the other side of the table? Lol
I have my first of 4 interviews tomorrow and watched your video. It was very helpful. Thank you
