Interesting those steps is a lot but does work , for my iphone setup, I use a 5v usb powered hub, along with the otg cable you have, I use garage band for audio recording because of the live feedback to my headphones.. thanks for the video..

Yip! I'll admit I don't know the most optimized way of doing this. But this way does work haha. 5 volt hub certainly takes up much less real estate space. That might be the way to go.

For sure! I'm glad I could help! :P It was actually a learning experience for me too since I never plugged an interface to an Iphone before. So it was super fun to do it! :P

Can you live stream on Instagram or UA-cam from iphone directly using this mixer.
Similar devices like this have stopped working with the newest iOS update where the phone can't recognize them

Hi, if I have the microphone sm7db + mvx2u, what else do I need to buy to connect the microphone to the iPhone?

I have an iPad Air 4th gen that has a USB-C port instead of Lightning and I tested it with a regular USB-C to USB-C cable into Zoom AMS-24. Of course it works! But for an iPhone with Lightning I need a 50 euro (I found it for 39!) adapter... somehow a Lightning to USB-C cable doesn't work, although all we need is to send an audio signal to the iPhone that would go in mic channel.
The iPhone default EarPods with wires had a TRRS jack, and it's wired like this:
T(left) R(right) R(ground) S(mic). So all we need is a 6.3mm TS to 3.5mm TRRS jack cable, where the Tip is wired to the Sleeve and you could plug any audio level signal into an iPhone via the Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter. I haven't tested it yet, but Rode SC4 adapter is wired like that and should work.

Great video! Do you know if in the "Line in" input I can send the music from my PC to the AMS-22 and that my microphone can be heard on my cell phone and at the same time the music connected by line in?

    • @ivantongtrombone
      @ivantongtrombone 11 місяців тому

Yes you can, and also they have a loop back button to send the sound from your computer to the zoom, and with the streaming mode it will output as one audio. I think it fit your demand

So this interface needs a power supply to be used with an iPhone? That cancels out the portability.

Question. This may seem obvious, but just checking. So you’re recording the visuals of this tutorial video with a different camera. And then synced it up with the audio you recorded separately shown in the video, in some other program?

Dude, you sir are awesome! I subscribed as soon as I seen that 'high end' pop filters can be made with with polyester 30ppi fish filters! :-) I have the filter in my Amazon account and plan to buy it soon! You Sir saved me $35-$40 -$17 for enough pop filter for all my friends, for a "replacement" filter for the $99 pop filter.

I have two questions, the first is: is the line in volume knob the same as the microphone channel volume?
second: it feeds with the energy of the iphone or does it need the source to feed it?

    • @Dracomies

It can work off the Iphone battery iirc but you will run out so it's important to plug it in to a power source.

If you're doing this for live recording I wouldn't recommend an Iphone setup. It's more for something on the go. But it should be able to be done with the same setup as above.
