Has it been tuned or ecu flashed?
It was stock.
The only thing it had done was the Akrapovic slip on and K&N filter. Which the slip on was done just after run in period.
The K&N filter was probably a couple of months after the slip on.
However it never had the issue until it went back for a recall. Then out of the blue it started doing it.
It could be something to do with the gearbox
My 2017 R3 has the exact same problem it always puzzled me, always thought it might of been the R6 throttle tube that I put on. Generally I just ride more clutch/throttle so it doesn't happen but has caught me out once or twice too 🤷!

That's fucked up, I'd be so paranoid while riding if I had this issue. My Yamaha r3 rides fine and doesn't have this issue. hopefully I will never experience this but if it did, I would probably have to sell it lol. Please let us know if you end up figuring out the issue. Thanks and ride safe!!

Hahahaha i did exactly that i sold it and now just ride my R1. So I never actually found out what the problem was.

Does it ever stumble in any other gear? You may be moving fast enough for it to drive itself through a stumble instead of stalling in other gears.
When i had it.
It used to do it 1st,2nd gear and i could even get it to do it just idling.
Once it cut out at speed in the twisties. Which was probably 3rd or 4th gear.

If you don't have any codes then perhaps break out a multimeter and do multiple sweeps of the TPS to see if there's dead spots. There are sub 70 USD scan tools on aliexpress which claim to record logs. I can't vouch for any of them though but you kind of need a snapshot when the problem happens.
My Rc390 had a similar problem when in 1st or neutral when idling for more then a few minutes, narrowed it down to no backpressure after just changing my exhaust it would sometimes suck in air and stop, not sure how I fixed it because it hasn't happened it a while and I never got a new map, seen your exhaust and first thing I thought of, far fetched but hope I helped.

The R3 had the slip on installed just after run in period and it never had the issue.
It then had the K&N air filter installed still no issue and it was that way for years. Then out of the blue after a recall it had gone in for it just started cutting out. And continued to do it on and off for years. It was dangerous as you would know if you’ve had it happen with your RC90.
