I like that they didn’t make them all alicorns I agree with everything you mentioned but there’s something I’d like to add The lesson of moving on the lesson of knowing your friends might not always be there for you and can go at any moment it just give more depth and character development I doubt she’d replace them but she’s the princess of friendship she could still make friends

It was already in the shape of a six point magenta star. So clearly Twilight’s cutie mark represents the elements and not the other way around. So from the start Twilight was meant for big things.

Celestia didn’t actually do it. If you rewatch Magical Mystery Cure Celestia did nothing but go into the realm with her and watch the flashbacks. During the transformation she was just kinda watching while the transformation came from twilights heart and made twilight an alicorn
I don't want to imagine everything that Twilight, Spike and Discord had to go through after losing their loved ones and the fall of Equestria. Twilight lost her friends and her entire legacy was forgotten. Spike had to abandon her friends and possibly couldn't even say goodbye or be there when they died, especially Rarity. Discord had to lose his beloved Fluttershy for being immortal and see all of her legacy fall.

When I was a bit younger I thought the reason only Twilight became an alicorn was because, if they all became alicorns that would mean there’s more alicorns. Meaning it wouldn’t be as rare. Besides that, I didn’t really know what all of them would be the princess of. Like Twilight is friendship, Luna is night/the moon, Cadence (sorry if I spelled it wrong) is love, etc. I didn’t really see what some of them could be the princess of. Besides that, they didn’t really create new magic, which is (according to Celestia, mentioned in the coronation of Twilight) the way you’re chosen to be an alicorn. They helped Twilight create her magic, but they didn’t really create any specific kinds of their own. This is only the case if we consider Celestia’s words at the coronation to be fully correct though. It’s possible you think/thought some different things as we don’t really get a lot of things that explain how you become an alicorn! Anyways, I still think most of these things but I do almost fully agree with the video! Also, I apologise for any weird sentences, my first language isn’t English, and although I’m pretty good at it, I still make some mistakes. Have a great day/night!

Taking Sawtooth’s theory that an Alicorn has to be representative of some sort of bond, (Celestia=Younger Siblings, Luna=Older Siblings, Cadence=Partners, Twilight=Friends, Flurry Heart=Parents, and although Luster Dawn is implied to be the next Alicorn we don’t know enough about her character to make any conclusion,) there wasn’t place for all of the Mane 6. Of course Celestia would choose Twilight. She was her student, Cadence’s sister-in-law, and went from a secluded pony to an Element of Harmony. Plus, her friends all had their own things.
While I believe that all the Mane 6 should’ve been made alicorns, your points do make sense, it would be pretty unusual for Equestria to have 6 princesses

There's no reason to assume alicorns are immortal. Extremely resilient, yes, but immortal, no, nothing in the cannon says they are unable to die of old age or in battle. And based on the fact that when cozy glow got hit by the magic in Kroger's Bell she became an alicorn we can tell that alicorns become the way they are because of the amount of magic that is in their body. So we can also assume that the amount of time that a pony will live is also based on that magic
If that was true, then Starlight would have been an alicorn, and she could go toe to toe with Twilight WHILE Twilight was an Alicorn. She's super Strong. We do know that they live thousands of years thanks to Luna and Celestia, and that they easily outlive the shorter lived races. We see that with Twilight looking still young after maturing into an Alicorn bodyplan all while her friends are getting wrinkles and grey manes. If she isn't immortal, she's still extremely long lived in pony standards.
Twilight is not alone her old friends r always with her❤ but cadence is still with her bc shes also an alicorn so shes still alive and since flurry heart is still alive bc shes aswell an alicorn, so if twilight becomes good friends with her she still has 2 alicorns to help her, BUT celestia is still there to guide her and since nightmare moon became again luna, luna is aswell there, its just so sad that pinkie pie, apple jack, ranbow dash, rarity, and flutter shy are gone....
Just like how Twilight stayed an alicorn forever, eventually losing all of her friends, it made me wonder if something similar happened with Celestia and Luna. Did they face this sacrifice too, which is why they knew that Twilight would get through it?? Anyways, I was very sad during the last episode, knowing that her friends, who she spent all her life with up until that point, were going to die. I feel really bad for Twilight, I don’t think she will ever forget the pain of losing her life long best friends. As heartbreaking as it is, I think it gives the show a deeper message
I think narratively speaking, having all the Mane Six become the replacement heads for Luna and Celestia would have made sense. Especially when the six already had enough power to drive community wide initiatives revolving around friendship.
Can you make an video on why Princess cadance did not become the ruler of equestria and what would happen to equestria if she was the ruler also who will be the successor of Twilight, luster dawn or flurry heart, and why Twilight said flurry heart is the future of equestria, what is the destiny of flurry heart, is she going to be the next ruler of equestria after Twilight. I read through all comments in this comment section. I think it has to do with destiny. If you look at Magical Mystery Cure, you can see that Celestia didn’t make or choose for Twilight to be an alicorn. She could have sent that unfinished spell to any of her students and they probably couldn’t have figured it out. Twilight had a destiny the moment she was born, Celestia just knew what it was during the entrance exam. You can also see that Celestia didn’t make her an alicorn. She just stood there and watched as the transformation happened, the magic that transformed her came from Twilight’s heart. I also see a lot of comments saying Twilight’s friends should have became immortal along with Twilight. Who says they didn’t? I don’t think any sources say that they are going to die like any other pony, it’s possible that because they’re spirits of the elements of harmony, they won’t die. Just like the six pillars of Equestria didn’t have the lifespan of any pony else (I think). It’s also that the main six have their own destinies, and their destinies don’t require them to become alicorns, while Twilight’s does. Her destiny was to be the princess of friendship and to rule Equestria, which does require her to be an alicorn.
in my pov, if they wanted to continue the show of g4, it'd be possible the rest of mane 6 would become alicorns as it'd be more interesting, maybe not immediately but at some point, since they'd most likely be protected from "villains" and stuff
I think it’s just that it would make the them too powerful, and I think that every Alcorn represents a type of love, with cadence being romantic love, and twilight being love between friendship, and Celestia, it being love between an older sibling to younger sibling, and Luna being love between a younger sibling to an older sibling, and I honestly think that twilight isn’t a same Alcorn as Celestia and Luna are. Celestia and Luna had to live so long for Equestria to be safe especially when Luna became nightmare moon but now that twilight is rolling an Equestria she didn’t have to live so long, because there’s a system where every mentor has a student that is worthy enough to take the place of the mentor as the rule of Equestria, and then the old mentor goes to move on.
Like in this case, twilight’s student is Luster Dawn, and when twilight feel like she is ready, her and her friends can take over, twilight and her friends’s place
I have a theory that it came to a point where a weakened, internally-fighting equestria was no match for an enemy (opaline?) and all of the mane 6 except twilight had transformed/given their life up into the (new) ‘elements of harmony’ to help twilight fight off and protect equestria. Now the citizens of equestria may of been put under some type of spell or slavery to maybe act for opaline or take orders, since she has a pretty crazy cutie mark stealing ability. WHICHHH would force twilight to put everyone under a deep sleep, preventing them from getting hurt too. My guess she then fought off opaline alone with the elements, and lost. Which made the current g6 elements. I believed they scattered to where they are now, and when equestria woke up, the land was filled with windigo’s and their memories were unstable, causing them to believe only what would be natural- ponies of the same kind. I don’t exactly know the gaps to what happened with twilight. I feel like she could still be alive somewhere. Everything is honestly contradicting to g5 from g6 because celestial and Luna are directly mentioned in spite by opaline.
I'll tell you the real reason, no fore thought. And the lore of alicorns has been changed anyway, the real ones come from another place, she's just a made alicorn aka a fake one. Now she has to watch all of her friends get old and die. I also have a hard time believing Twilight is all good due to a video explaining how she is actually pretty manipulative and does want power. She only didn't like Cozy Glow for saying the quiet part out loud - friendship is power, and look at all the power she accumulated with just having and making friends.

tbh, if there was a new version of my little pony that had all these same characters, i feel like a good way to make her friends immortal would have the elements of harmony grant immortality but if the user showcases signs of them no longer abiding by said elemnt their immortality is taken way, pinkie pie = laughter, so if she no longer is happy her immortality is taken, rairty = generosity, so if she isnt generous her immortality is taken, etc, all alicorns are immortal, and theres certain other things like the elements of harmony that grant power on par with an alicorn or grants immortality etc, [also this could play into alicorns, like if you turn your back on your cutiemark then your no longer an alicorn] another idea would be the more powerful or special a cutie mark is, [twilights=magic, celestias=sun/day, etc] the more likely they are to become an alicorn, and the more their cutie mark plays into their life, a cutie mark also shows how powerful a person is/could be celestia would have a full leg cutie mark, same with luna and any other alicorn, [i would probably then thick twilight getting to be an alicorn would happen WAY later, aswell as there would probably be like, diffrent versions of alicorns ig? like a griffin could also get a cutie mark etc, they would have their own versions if being an alicorn etc, same with the merpony, deer folk, etc] and if i had to say that certain characters would be what, twilight=pony fluttershy=deer pony person rarity=dragon pony person OR a crytal pony[IT MAKES SENSE OK] pinkie pie=choas pony[its hinted she has choas magic so if a revamp would happen it would be cool to it be played into more] apple jack=pony(maybe a bull hybrid? or just straight bull idk abt her) rainbow dash=pony/griffin mix just my personal opinions these things would be cool in a revamp version lol clothes would also be cool to see more often, even something simple like a cloak, hood, t shirt, etc, tail, horn, and wing accessories would be cool to see aswell

Well Flurry Heart was born from an alicorn already, it’s possible that you can only be born an alicorn if your mother, possibly your father, is an alicorn. Extremely resilient, yes, but immortal, no, nothing in the cannon says they are unable to die of old age or in battle.
And based on the fact that when cozy glow got hit by the magic in Kroger's Bell she became an alicorn we can tell that alicorns become the way they are because of the amount of magic that is in their body.
So we can also assume that the amount of time that a pony will live is also based on that magic
If that was true, then Starlight would have been an alicorn, and she could go toe to toe with Twilight WHILE Twilight was an Alicorn. She's super Strong.
We do know that they live thousands of years thanks to Luna and Celestia, and that they easily outlive the shorter lived races. We see that with Twilight looking still young after maturing into an Alicorn bodyplan all while her friends are getting wrinkles and grey manes.
If she isn't immortal, she's still extremely long lived in pony standards.
Twilight is not alone her old friends r always with her❤ but cadence is still with her bc shes also an alicorn so shes still alive and since flurry heart is still alive bc shes aswell an alicorn, so if twilight becomes good friends with her she still has 2 alicorns to help her, BUT celestia is still there to guide her and since nightmare moon became again luna, luna is aswell there, its just so sad that pinkie pie, apple jack, ranbow dash, rarity, and flutter shy are gone....
Just like how Twilight stayed an alicorn forever, eventually losing all of her friends, it made me wonder if something similar happened with Celestia and Luna. Did they face this sacrifice too, which is why they knew that Twilight would get through it?? Anyways, I was very sad during the last episode, knowing that her friends, who she spent all her life with up until that point, were going to die. I feel really bad for Twilight, I don’t think she will ever forget the pain of losing her life long best friends. As heartbreaking as it is, I think it gives the show a deeper message
I think narratively speaking, having all the Mane Six become the replacement heads for Luna and Celestia would have made sense. Especially when the six already had enough power to drive community wide initiatives revolving around friendship.
Can you make an video on why Princess cadance did not become the ruler of equestria and what would happen to equestria if she was the ruler also who will be the successor of Twilight, luster dawn or flurry heart, and why Twilight said flurry heart is the future of equestria, what is the destiny of flurry heart, is she going to be the next ruler of equestria after Twilight. Questions like these are roaming in my mind. I feel like princess cadence and flurry heart's story was incompleted.

I read through all comments in this comment section. I think it has to do with destiny.
If you look at Magical Mystery Cure, you can see that Celestia didn’t make or choose for Twilight to be an alicorn. She could have sent that unfinished spell to any of her students and they probably couldn’t have figured it out. Twilight had a destiny the moment she was born, Celestia just knew what it was during the entrance exam. You can also see that Celestia didn’t make her an alicorn. She just stood there and watched as the transformation happened, the magic that transformed her came from Twilight’s heart.
I also see a lot of comments saying Twilight’s friends should have became immortal along with Twilight. Who says they didn’t? I don’t think any sources say that they are going to die like any other pony, it’s possible that because they’re spirits of the elements of harmony, they won’t die. Just like the six pillars of Equestria didn’t have the lifespan of any pony else (I think).
It’s also that the main six have their own destinies, and their destinies don’t require them to become alicorns, while Twilight’s does. Her destiny was to be the princess of friendship and to rule Equestria, which does require her to be an alicorn.

I think it’s just that it would make the them too powerful, and I think that every Alcorn represents a type of love, with cadence being romantic love, and twilight being love between friendship, and Celestia, it being love between an older sibling to younger sibling, and Luna being love between a younger sibling to an older sibling, and I honestly think that twilight isn’t a same Alcorn as Celestia and Luna are. Celestia and Luna had to live so long for Equestria to be safe especially when Luna became nightmare moon but now that twilight is rolling an Equestria she didn’t have to live so long, because there’s a system where every mentor has a student that is worthy enough to take the place of the mentor as the rule of Equestria, and then the old mentor goes to move on.
Like in this case, twilight’s student is Luster Dawn, and when twilight feel like she is ready, her and her friends can take over, twilight and her friends’s place
I have a theory that it came to a point where a weakened, internally-fighting equestria was no match for an enemy (opaline?) and all of the mane 6 except twilight had transformed/given their life up into the (new) ‘elements of harmony’ to help twilight fight off and protect equestria. Now the citizens of equestria may of been put under some type of spell or slavery to maybe act for opaline or take orders, since she has a pretty crazy cutie mark stealing ability. WHICHHH would force twilight to put everyone under a deep sleep, preventing them from getting hurt too. My guess she then fought off opaline alone with the elements, and lost. Which made the current g6 elements. I believed they scattered to where they are now, and when equestria woke up, the land was filled with windigo’s and their memories were unstable, causing them to believe only what would be natural- ponies of the same kind.
I don’t exactly know the gaps to what happened with twilight. I feel like she could still be alive somewhere. Everything is honestly contradicting to g5 from g6 because celestial and Luna are directly mentioned in spite by opaline.

I'll tell you the real reason, no fore thought. And the lore of alicorns has been changed anyway, the real ones come from another place, she's just a made alicorn aka a fake one. Now she has to watch all of her friends get old and die. I also have a hard time believing Twilight is all good due to a video explaining how she is actually pretty manipulative and does want power. She only didn't like Cozy Glow for saying the quiet part out loud - friendship is power, and look at all the power she accumulated with just having and making friends.

tbh, if there was a new version of my little pony that had all these same characters, i feel like a good way to make her friends immortal would have the elements of harmony grant immortality but if the user showcases signs of them no longer abiding by said elemnt their immortality is taken way, pinkie pie = laughter, so if she no longer is happy her immortality is taken, rairty = generosity, so if she isnt generous her immortality is taken, etc, all alicorns are immortal, and theres certain other things like the elements of harmony that grant power on par with an alicorn or grants immortality etc, [also this could play into alicorns, like if you turn your back on your cutiemark then your no longer an alicorn]
another idea would be the more powerful or special a cutie mark is, [twilights=magic, celestias=sun/day, etc] the more likely they are to become an alicorn, and the more their cutie mark plays into their life, a cutie mark also shows how powerful a person is/could be

Well Flurry Heart was born from an alicorn already, it’s possible that you can only be born an alicorn if your mother, possibly your father, is an alicorn. That’s probably why Flurry Heart was an alicorn. We also don’t know how the monarchy system works in Equestria, we don’t know if Flurry Heart will be a princess because her mom was.
