- Thinking about taking a trip to Lincoln City? Here's a preview of the city. Lincoln City is about 87 miles from Downtown Portland and about a 1 hour and 50 minute drive depending on traffic conditions.
Lincoln City is a town on the central coast of Oregon. At the D River State Recreation Site, the short D River connects Devil’s Lake to a sandy Pacific beach. The Devil’s Lake State Recreation Area has trails and a campground. A collection of Japanese glass fishing floats is a highlight at the North Lincoln County Historical Museum. Haven’t been to LC since 2012. We went to the Lincoln City Glass Blowers center and each made something. Turned out great. I’ve always had an affinity for glass art and would love to find a float on the beach sometime. What a nice little treasure that’d be. We plan on coming up from the SF Bay Area in December and hopefully storm watch again. LC gets some doozies! Been traveling up n down the Oregon Coast since childhood, almost 60 years... We love the laid back and unpretentious nature of the folks and always look back to revisiting. We always have our favorite stops along the way... great video.

I’m going to Lincoln City this year. Haven’t been there in decades. Nice little drive here, I just wish it was narrated.
Haven't been there since 2006 and glad to see it hasn't changed one bit! Can't wait to buy a house on the waterfront there one day.
Obviously in the winter, as theres no trafgic and peds. I hate driving there in summer. Takes up to 40 mins to cross town
