- Well little did i know i had a seized engine when i came out today =( Took just over 2 1/2 hours to repair ! and it runs =)

"the only problems I had with this engine was that it would never start. Other than that it was a good engine" lol ;)
My traxxas 3.3 in my slash did that so all I did was put a little lube in the glow plug hole and pulled really hard (and yes I bought a pull start) and it fired back to life

yeah i know it was seized !!
I took it out in the snow and the next day it was seized ..
so i opened the engine up put in some WD40 and cranked the fly wheel :)

same thing happened to mine now it runs!
The number 1 killer of nitro engines is running it too lean. I always run mine a lil more rich just for the simple fact running it richer will not harm you're engine

next time dont dissasemble just get the heat gun out and give it a few tugs drop some caster oil in and make sure its not tdc after your next run
what size wheels are you use on your savage x I like that size and where you got those ??
That's why you should always do after run procedure

I got the truck used, it had 2 gallons on it already, after i fixed this problem i put another 2 gallons on it then it completely died. I know have a ERCM modded K4.6 HO with 2 gallons.
i will refresh what he said in normal language. WHEN YOUR ENGINE IS RUNNING, IT CREATES HEAT, MAKING THE SLEEVE AROUND THE PISTON EXPAND, WHEN THE ENGINE IS OFF THE PISTON COULD STAY AT THE TOP OF ITS STROKE, AND WHEN THE SLEEVE COOLS, IT CONTRACTS, GRABBING YOUR PISTON AND COMPRESSION. also, i know you said the engine runs well, but i think she will go. lol. just sayin. aha.
Got losi ten t same thing I wd40 on it and channel lock got it free but tight at top stroke put back in truggy but with the ez start it hangs up just clicks when reaches top of piston may try to install pull start
Got a second hand HPI Trophy 3.5 that had not been running for years. Piston was stuck but with some oil and your "turn the flywheel" trick it came loose and it's running again :-)
yeah i have that now, this is when i first got my savage.
Iv had the F4.1 , k4.6 and now the K4.6 HO !!
nice video, had the exact same prob. engine seized from lack of use for about 5 years. after taking apart and cleaning with fuel, the action on the piston is smooth.

dude to prevent it from happening use after run oil after every run.... It prevents it from gumming up like yours did.

I had the same problem u had all I did at the end was let it run a hole galleon and than took the engine off for the second time to check it and it lessened the sleeve
Mix sum 4t or 2t oil in fuel and it may never Seize because engine needs sum lub wile it's working on n on
The piston is supposed to be tight towards the top of its stroke to get compression
Actually that would be carbon build up, indicating a rich mixture. Which is harmless.
you sucked in water and it rusts so you should put wd40 in once you leave it for more than a week or so after each run
Its ment to be tight on top its called compression
Loose it again and put prop in front of it perhapes it is overheating
maybe consider after run maintenance
your piston is stuck at the top so you grave the fly wheel and try to turn it.

meh, whatever you want, you have bad luck if your engine stops at TDC lol
