Gone Girl. What Happened to Planterina.com?! 😭

- Hello Plant Collector Community! As of Oct 12, 2023, Planterina.com stopped selling all plants, pots, and plant accessories. I was SO surprised! The plants shipped from Planterina were always so beautiful, inexpensive, and reliable! The reason behind the abrupt change is still a mystery.
For now, the website says that gift cards will be refunded, in case you are wondering.
Any other favorite online plant stores? I still love Ecuagenera almost as much, but its not the same....
**Addendum**
Amanda from Planterina later offered an explanation on a video posted a few weeks later (Sunday Plant Care l Checking my Plants After Being Away) stating that it was becoming increasingly difficult to ship plants, especially during winter months.
UPDATE: While both Planterina.com & the Planterina UA-cam channel is still gone, Amanda is back with a NEW channel called MakeitWithAmanda. 💚

Amanda from Planterina is one of my favorite house plant advisors. I went so far as to record one so I could share it with a friend who has no Internet service. I just recommended her in the Letters section of The American Gardner. Now, I can't find any of her videos!

I absolutely loved her incredible wisdom and authenticity to be herself. Regardless I hope she is safe, happy, healthy and doing what brings her joy. I so enjoyed her educational videos, and was finally thinking about taking a leap to buying some of her plants. Regardless holding space for this incredible person❤️

Omg you are right! Thanks so much for letting us know & solving the mystery! Apparently shipping plants was too taxing on the plants and with winter approaching they didn't want to damage more plants in that process😢

authenticity? gurl...you missed the expose? she's a shill for the real owners behind platerina. it was not her brand. wasn't her channel. that house wasn't even hers lol she was hired to create content and be a relatable face. it was nothing more than a solid marketing ploy to launch the plant store.... i was shooked when i found out. a little disappointed. sure you can enjoy her informative content, but the word authenticity shouldn't be used.
They were having a huge sale and that should have told me something. 50% off with free shipping. I went back to check out my cart and couldn't, thats how I found out. My first thought was omg I hope Amanda's okay. Shes my BFF in my head. What's going to happen to those gorgeous plant babies? 🌿😢

I am distraught 😩 obviously I wish her the best in her new endeavors always!! But I’m new ish to the plant community (about 3 yrs in) and she has been with me throughout it all! I’ve learned so much from her and would always go back and reference her videos when I needed to. I even talked about her to my husband “my plant lady on UA-cam” 🥹😂 I follow her on her new account now and I hope she incorporates a plant video here and there 🥺 she is so crafty tho, I’m looking forward everything she puts out regardless! ❤️

Same same- really loved those chill vibes. She really made plant care less intimidating. Her content now looks like it’s also crafty, but I’m fairly certain she’ll be collaborating w/Chris from Pretty in Green so there will be some planty videos coming 💚

She made a whole video on a new account about this. She is not doing plant stuff anymore because her niece died, it has been traumatic for her, snd she doesnt want to do plants anymore. She has a youtube account making art videos now, and as much as I love plants, I am so happy for her. Its her life, she has to live it the way she needs to to be happy and healthy. Plus her art videos are dope

I do believe she explained in a video why she stopped selling the plants. So it wasn’t because of no apparent reason.
You are absolutely correct! Someone was nice enough to comment below and let us know that she explained why in a recent video. It was because of the difficulty in shipping plants.

Yes very reliable, great inventory of plants & I loved shopping there. I literally just saw the site as I as going to place an order today. Sad...what happen?
I wish I knew- sadly no one really knows why. I've been trying to find online plant stores that are comparable in the meantime, which is kind of fun but also expensive.

This explanation doesn’t make sense to me. You can make so much money with social media without ever selling a single plant. That’s stopping thousands of dollars a month. I wonder if she made enough to “retire”
Absolutely especially with a following that large. I honestly suspect it's some sort of legal drama. The video pretty in green posted about her pulling her social media let us to believe we would eventually hear from her again, but not right away. The mystery continues.

Someone JUST told me! That makes me so sad! The information/vibes were so great😢 I wonder what the reason is- I totally get that it's tough to ship plants in winter, therefore her store closed, but she had over 1 Million subs! 🤯

Me too!! For more rare plants I absolutely love Ecuagenera. In the US for small sellers I really like Terracotta Plantco who sells via IG. I'm on the hunt now for online stores comparable to Planterina. 🕵️♀️

You are definitely not the first person to feel that way, based on others comments about it. Maybe I didn't mind bc everything I've received was really large and healthy. I have definitely gotten my fair share of sad or damaged plants from other places, that's for sure 😳
Then move on. I think her prices were reasonable because I know she put love into each and every one of them. I can't stand people like you.

I always used the discount codes so the plants ended up being pretty reasonable. Also the plants I received were often bigger and fuller than those from other companies so for a little bit more, the quality was there.
people like you are nauseating. Her plants were no different in price than Amazon....and the one thing I know, Amanda's plants were GROWN WITH LOVE. I CAN NOT SAY THAT ABOUTANY BODY ELSE. AND YES, i AM SHOUTING.
