Great Video Skottie! I would also love to see a video where you do a dive into your "Creative dna" where you show us the books and artists that inspired a Young up and coming Skottie.
Really cool to watch, as always. You were talking about the contrast between the bold, cartoony lines and the texture of the ink wash, and it kind-of makes me think of cel animation. The characters and other animated elements are these bold, flat images, but the backgrounds are done with watercolor or gouache, which gives them a painterly feel.
your videos are really awesome and i love watching your illustration and process from sketching to inking, it would be incredible if in the future you would make videos like composing comic panels or designing characters that could inspire and help young comic artists and illustrators, keep the awesome work , btw when is boy at the end gonna be released i'm so excited to read it
Awesome work! I jist bought the Oz collection book for my kids, also awesome work! Gear question though, I was looking into a Kuretake 40 (the sable brush one), does the speedball ink you use ever clog your pen?
I use the kuretake no 8. Can you show how you convert the ink. Love the pen and lines just wish it was waterproof. I know you use a different pen. You’re doing a great job I’m enjoying the content and videos
Loving the vids I think they’re amazing I would suggest making the volume for your intro a lil quieter because the talking before and after is a lot quieter and then the intro yells a bit lol
Your videos never fail to inspire me! Thank you for making them! I was wondering if you could show your process for writing and/or illustrating a comic in a future video! Is there any back and forth between you and the publisher/artist/writer, or are you just given complete creative freedom? Thanks so much!🙂
When you where penciling I thought they look like McFarlane bats. Then you said they are Capullo bats. Which may be as well from where Capullo pulled his reference? Could be? I don't know. They are cool bats, none the less.
Love the musical interludes. I was hoping this commission would be the subject of a video so yay.

Thrilled to see this and understand your process better! Can't wait to get mine!

This was really cool to watch. Can't wait to see more of these videos!
This one of my favorite videos of yours I have watched! You are so talented! I’m a big Batman fan!
20th Century Boys in the background! I named my daughter Kanna after that manga. Love it. Great drawing also!
I relly loved it
Currently reading Middlewest and it has been really enjoyable so far! You and Jorge Corona are magical.
The blue lines left over definately make for nice finished ink piece!
*AWESOME*
Greetings from Spain master!

I didn't love the 40. It had too much give for me. I din't have a lot of control over it. not sure i remember the ink i used with it.
@@SkottieYoungTV that's exactly how I feel about the pocket brush I have. Not a fan of it, honestly.
Please keep making more videos.
Hello, the speedball ink doesn't clog the kuretake 13? Does this ink flow correctly?
Wondered the same thing, but after watching this it appears to have worked spot on...
Hey Skottie! Quick question: What microphone do you use for your voiceovers
Blue Snowball
Why don‘t you ink directly on the lightbox?

I’m very jealous of this client.
❤❤❤
That's a big NNNOOOPPPEEE
Where you get the lightbox from?
You can get those lightbox for barely anything everywhere on internet
Kinda Lokey love when he's talking
I work in inks too so what is the best option for correcting smaller areas? I currently use white gel pens but anyone have a better option?
