    I always love getting gear questions “What camera did you use for that shot?” I often answer with the name of the camera, lens, settings and add to the list “and 30 years of experience.” It is cool to see your tools and process though. Is there an industry scanner that is used for comics? 11 x 17 or 12 x 18”?

    Hi Scottie love your work, thank you so much for sharing what you use so us mere mortals can dabble. One question... the number 2 pencil is it what here in the UK call 2HB?
    Again thank you.

    • @AL_1547
      @AL_1547 3 роки тому +1

      Yes the #2 pencil here in the US is an HB anywhere else in the world.

    Love this video. One thing I do think that is important to note on the pencil comment is that if you are inking over the sketch, then yes use whatever #2 pencil you have lying around. However, if your drawing is going to be a graphite only drawing, then I disagree. You don’t necessarily need to spend a fortune and get the whole range of graphite pencils, but you are probably going to want something at least in the 4B - 6B range to supplement your HB and 2B pencils to be able to get those darkest shades. Drawing pencils are smoother and blend better, it is just a fact. Are they an absolute necessity? Of course not. Do they make some things much easier to achieve compared to using a #2 pencil? For sure.
