- The new BMW 5 Series for India gets an even longer wheelbase than the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. With 3105mm wheelbase it is 99mm longer than the E-Class and the 5170mm length makes it 100mm longer. This even eclipses the new E-Class coming later this year. Editor Sirish Chandran checks out the new 5 Series that launches in India on July 24. The BMW 5 Series LWB gets a new aggressive exterior look with LED headlamps, an illuminated kidney grille, and a chiseled bonnet. The interiors have also been updated with a new steering wheel, 14.9-inch infotainment screen and 12.3-inch digital cluster with the latest BMW Operating System 8.5. The new 5 Series LWB also gets front-ventilated seats while at the rear you've got plenty of space and comfort making it the place to be but misses out on ventilated seats and the boss mode.

The X5 is probably the only car which the bmw designers haven't ruined.
Those alloys not only kill the otherwise pretty good and proportionate looking car but the alloys too are hideous.
E class is better and the alloys killed the look of the BMW

Probably worst 5series ever in terms in exterior design
6 gt is definitely a better vehicle in terms of space and design. Unfortunate that BMW has discontinued it.

Overall FAIL! To many missing features:
1.) No Engine Insulation
2.) No openable Sunroof
3.) No rear Sunshades
4.) No Reclining rear seats
5.) No Boot access
6.) No Split folding seats
7.) No wattet cubby driver side
8.) No Seat Pockets
9.) Many other small small features missing.
Going to book E Class soon, this one is a wasted oppertunity.
