1. Thanks! 2. Nearly stock noise in cab when cruising. I can hear difference when above 3k rpm and on throttle. Sounds like a v8! Adding aftermarket intake really makes a big difference in engine noise. Much louder when on throttle. 3. Kept resonator and stock exhaust besides swapping muffler and removing flapper. Have a GM chrome tip. 4. Since flapper is removed, I do hear some helicopter chop when in v4. It’s not bad. Especially when a light cruise. When you are in the throttle 50% or more and in v4 is when you hear it most. Overall I’d do this mod again and again. I can always tell when it’s in v4 now due to tone changing.
@@doctube2020 Great, thank you so much for the reply! I’m wanting to do the muffler delete with a Corsa dual tip. I do a lot of highway driving and calls, so if it’s too loud I plan to put a Magnaflow on shortly after and wanted a good baseline. Do you ever wish you left the flapper on for V4? Or is it so minimal that you barely notice? Your feedback is appreciated, and your truck is clean.
@@sanch_the_heavy don’t miss flapper but glad I kept the resonator (round, small after muffler before tailpipe exit). The resonator is straight through like the magnaflow and it helps take out drone. I’d do magnaflow muffler over again with flapper delete. Only time I really notice v4 is windows down and low speed you hear the helicopter chop but hardly noticeable with windows up. If you do no muffler then I’d say keep flapper and resonator to help combat v4 chop.
