The next time you get locked out of our truck remember the Triangular vent window can be opened by putting a butter knife or screwdriver between the vent window and the frame, underneath the latch and lifting upward and then you can reach a small arm through and pull the lock or hit the switch
Had a jeep that locked me out years ago, time and time again. Prying and coat hangers destroyed the door, so i Spent about 50 bucks on a pick rod and pump bag, and have used it many times since. Lol I have even made the occasional 20-50 bucks in parking lots when i see folks locked out. Win-win. 👍🏻
My 40 year C10 old power windows still work. They do take a couple of pauses going up requiring finger pulling assist and the whole process takes about 14 seconds. And the weather stripping is rock hard and mostly gone. And the power locks will trap you inside if you accidentally hit lock. One of these days I'm going to fix these...maybe.
why is the same guy doing sooooo many of these!?? cut cu snip snip so many holes and wires chopped, i have to redo ALLLLLLLL the wiring cuz of this guy! was kinda funny, then got mad, now im just 😭!! WTF???
Idk if you have sliding back windows and please no one do this to break into my truck (not like you’ll find anything valuable anyway) but you can shimmy a thin piece of anything into it and push the clip off and slide the winds open to get in if you lock yourself out. But also more than anything get a spare key because they are like $7
Make sure everything is lubricated and the regulator moves smoothly with the motor removed. Some people put electrical power directly from the battery to the window motor. the factory wiring has the power go through the window switch. The window switch can act as resistance and restrict the power to the motor. The windows will move very slowly if this is the situation. look up "squarebody window relay mod" for instructions. I will do a video on this process this year.

@@gh-7714 What part of the world you are from is obvious when you type in Arabic. What country are you from? I use google translate to understand what you say. I try to use English words that make translation more simple. You must remove the window mechanism from the door. inspect the all pieces for corrosion. Make sure each piece moves without resistance using only the power of your hands. The window can cause resistance when it moves up if the track is new or has obstructions. the door could also be misshapen or warped and the glass will fight to move up. check that the window can move down to the open and up to the closed position with only the power of your hands. if anything prevents this smooth operation, then I would order a replacement for the part causing interference. You can buy ready-made parts from LMC or find used parts.

That’s the fastest-moving squarebody power window I’ve ever seen.
That's because it's new. The other side is pretty typical. I will do a 'relay mod' video in the future for consistently fast window movement.

Gotta love previous owner problems. Especially when that person was a teen. Im shocked my trucked never caught on fire.

I know about the sliding glass windows. I have a solid one. I still don't have a spare key though. I should probably make spares for all my rides.
