- In this video I am installing TRQ full replacement Mirrors to add turn signal Mirrors to my 2020 wrx. as far as I know these are the cheapest way to add turn signals to your non turn signal Mirrors on your 15+ wrx!

@@StreetInspired1 hey I think I’m finally gonna pull the trigger on these mirrors for my WRX. I was curious if you think the fitment is pretty close to OEM. Reason I ask is because I would like to get the carbon fiber caps too but was wondering if you think they would fit on these mirrors. If not I might just get the caps and keep my stock mirrors. I appreciate any info. Also, congrats on your recent move and new job at IIR!
@@sgomez805 so these mirrors were advertised to fit 15+ wrx. But after getting them they are definitely shorter and taller than the wrx mirror. Then I realized these are the same mirrors as the 12-14 impreza and the 13-17 crosstrek. So the carbon covers for the wrx won't fit these at all unfortunately.

@@sgomez805 they should if they make them. I haven't seen any but I haven't really been looking either. And no problem!
They installed the wiring harnesses into the wrong side mirror housings, that's why you had to swap both of their wires, they are side specific and were meant for the other sides.

nice. all of that "glass" area on the turn indicator, and all Subaru did was use 2-3 LEDs...why even make the lamp that big if you are only going to light up 25% of the fixture? I thought about this on a budget, but I'm going with something like the Morimoto lamps ($155/pr) and replacement caps. maybe a bit more that $150 overall, but less than $340 from other places...just have to look around. The OE lamps is anywhere from $66-$98 from Subaru parts counter, just for the lamp; so going the Morimoto route isn't that far off of OEM, but with a much better execution
Do you think if you ordered the OEM with turn signals that you would not have to switch the wires? It sounds like the ground and power wire were not talking to each other.
I just went to the eBay ad and typed in my 2020 WRX Premium and it said they wouldn’t fit 🤷🏽♀️
That's because they list it as able to fit a 15-16 wrx. All 15-21 wrxs had the same mirrors. They fit but they are a different design. They're crosstrek/impreza mirrors so they're less wide and more tall than the wrx mirrors.
Would STI turn signal side mirrors fit and work on 2017 wrx base
They will fit but might not be plug and play and might need to be wired in

How do you find paint matched paint????
I mixed my own paint but you can buy oem paint in aerosol cans on www.automotivepainttouchup.com you should only need 1 can of color and 1 can of 2k clearcoat.

Do the defrosters work? Why do your lights flash like that?
When I have my hazards on they flash like that because of my Diode Dynamics Smart Tap. You can program different hazard flashing patterns. I think the defroster work but it's been in the 90s here for weeks so there's no good way for me to test it.
Does changing the wiring work specifically for this mirror? I’ve seen other videos where you have to tap into the signal and run extra wire to make these work.
