Someone commented on another video saying you were ruining the wrap market. The exact opposite for me. Your videos have made me realize the true skill it takes to get a great job. Definitely going to spring for an expert installer now.
A lot of guys that are deciding to wrap their own cars after watching these would probably never spend the money to have it done professionally anyways. They’re only doing it because it looks interesting and they want to try it themselves. Besides that, who says these other guys get to “own” a skill, and get to shut others out just so they can maintain a monopoly? Watching professionals work definitely shows their talent and how difficult this stuff can be. But if someone wants to try it themselves, go right ahead.
@@wallymcguire2033 agree same reason why I did it my self and watching this guy's videos for a few months now I went for it and it came out super cleannnnn
@@wallymcguire2033 I'm a bit in the middle, I would quite happily pay someone to do a job for me, in this example wrapping, but I will almost always try myself first. It's nothing to do with the money, it's all to do with the pride and passion for doing something myself and expanding my knowledge and skills

@@esc5085 bro same with my wrap I've finished the majority of the wrap and it looks pretty good for my first time, surprisingly no wrinkles and stuff except my hood which I did late at night and with terrible lighting
so from what i've seen, i just need to find an subaru sti who has his mirror caps wrapped, pop it off in 3 seconds and boom i got a fully wrapped cap, thanks!
I wish I would've seen this before I wrapped my mirror caps lmao this is insane. I might take it off and retry the ol' wrap. The only thing is it's cold as sheeet outside
Great video. If you have black textured caps, do they need to be sanded down first? I don't want the texture to transfer to the wrap although the mirrors I'm dealing with are a very fine texture and not super rough.
Top quality results. I done my Audi door pillars in a carbon wrap but didn't know about heat gun, so I've got slight creases around the inside curve, as mines only self adhesive sheets can it be heated also
I feel like I stretch mine way less than you and my shit be ripping holes in it. I got the vvivid piano gloss black and had it 85% done and yanked a hole in it. Gonna have to order more now 😂.
wrapping this Subaru WRX mirror cap is relevant to my situation....adding mirror turns to a base WRX and the new mirror caps are unpainted. I couldn't decide whether to wrap the cap with a satin nickel or spray paint. Both methods seem 'easy' enough.
You made it look so easy. I suppose it's also harder to do when it's cold as the vynil gets cold fast. I'm gonna do the other side during the hottest time of day tomorrow in the 🌞
I was trying to learn from youtube now after this video i’m definitly going to school to educate myself for this because it’s not like just pasting stickers ...
Enjoy all of you videos. I tried wrapping the mirror caps on my car using vivid carbon fibre wrap. I got the top part nice and smooth, but just could not get the vertical down part off the cap smoothened out. My mirror cap is the same shape as the one you have on this video. I could not get the whole thing smooth in one shot like you did. I tried heat and stretching it out, but could not get it. Any other tips? Thanks
I’ve used that same vinyl on a hood wrap and it was the hardest material I’ve ever worked with. Took almost 3 hours to wrap that hood with two other people, one of whom wraps full time. I couldn’t imagine trying to wrap a side mirror with that stuff lol
Man, You are great professional. I'm from Brazil and always see your videos.... I would like to wrap my Nissan kicks side mirror...Do you think that is possible in one piece too and in the same way that you did?? Please.
I wish I had found this video before I wrapped my mirrors. Cheap Amazon wrap and to much stretching. After a day the wrap is now shrinking and the red paint is starting to show. And I did it the exact opposite direction that he did. I already ordered a new roll of VVivid meteorite dark Grey true r carbon fiber with air release.... Whatever the f*ck that means, I just hope it's better than whatever I got the first time. I'm pretty sure it was more so my technique, or lack there of since it was my first time ever.
When wrapping door handles and mirror caps, is it common to hear an “expert” installer say they have to wrap it in “multiple” pieces? I had my truck wrapped and he had to do two pieces for the mirror and three pieces for the door handles and claimed that they can’t be done in a single piece. 21’ F150.
i currently want to wrap my rims. i currently have skoda rs xtreme rims in black and would like to wrap the silver lines. how would you go about wrapping them? with knifeless tape, right?
can you do something with a turn signal light in the mirror cap? I have a 2021 crv hybrid and tried wrapping it so many times its beyond frustrating. @ckwraps
I cant get it on my 2017 Altima Its mirrors caps are so curved and has like a dip as well, where bubbles tend to form. I pretty much waste like 30 dollars worth of vinyl wrap.. x( How much does it cost to get them wrap by professional?
I just did mine but man was it hard and for me i had more trouble with wrinkles then bubbles but i went to a professional shop to get my trunk nd i had asked about my mirrors nd he said he wud of charged me 40 each mirror
It's not possible for it to shrink since I've already shrunk the film around the edges. I have door handles going on 4 years that were wrapped like this and still no issues

Tried to wrap the mirror cap off the car and was a disaster... Watched your video and followed your technique and it was super simple. Thanks man!!
Same story here , now here I am learning 😂😅
Thanks for making it look easy, now it’s time for me to go home and rage for the next two hours attempting to do what u did 😭

Love how you explain as you actually do it, too many people explain what they do before or after and it just doesn’t click sometimes. Good work 🤟🏻
I’m doing mine this weekend got carbon fibre vinyl 👏
How'd it go? About to do mine with Vvivid Tek R.

Damn! You’re good 😁
Do you think motorcyles are harder to do. Really struggled and feel i am not stretching the material as much as you. I give another go LOL

good work like always my master!
Love your work mate!!!
How did you size up the vinyl to the size of the mirror? How much excess should you look to have?
Bro you are fackin magician! Great job! Thx for your video’s! Don’t stop!
This was awesome

Ive been trying to wrap my side mirror but I cant get it 100% to my liking. Is vivid wrap to tough for a mirror? Is there a better brand to use??
Do all side mirrors caps come off on cars?
Mazda 3 mirror cap is hard. Ill get it one day.

Should show how you did the front bumper
Wrapping my car this summer thanks to you still need to figure out a color tho :/
Based Pony what car?
Did you happen to record the side skirts? Awesome vids!
I didn't yet but I'll do a video on the other side
OMG amazing job, and thanks for the help, it was really usefull
Good job
Just did hood and quarter round today I am beat lol fat boy what sweating like crazy lol
Thank you
I've been trying to do this on an xc90 and have honestly failed each time which sucks. Lots of vinyl wasted unfortunately.
what type of wrap did you use, some wraps are easier to work with than others
@@codyroe5027 vivid brand
Thanks , I'll give it a try !
Does anyone know how much I need to buy for both mirrors ? What size
Can you get vvivid vinyl in Europe also? Shipping a roll from Canada is not the cheapest
theres a few places in the UK that ship to Europe. im having that issue because i live in italy and they only use 3M..
Thanks. Care to share those places. Ordering from UK is about the best I could hope for.
I’m trying to wrap my side mirrors and I have tried once already. It didn’t come out that well. They are fixed which makes it harder.... any advice?
i can see lots of bubbles
I cant get it on my 2017 Altima
Its mirrors caps are so curved and has like a dip as well, where bubbles tend to form.

What brand vinyl is that ?
How much wrap are you using for the whole car? The length
5x75 feet for nearly all cars. This will leave you with extra if you don't make any mistakes but you will have extra in case you make mistakes
Did you remove the mirrors when u wrap the doors?
James Villanueva of course
Nice Thanks
"wrinklige" lmao
You're a beast
Man it looks like it was always that color. Great.
Uh oh ..You did not put your watch on ;-)
Brother you make this look way easier than it is. I gave up and threw all my wrap out. 6 attempts all failures. Way too many wrinkles.
i can see lots of bubbles
I feel you bro. Ive failed it 7 times , KPMF airelease wrap down the drain just to wrap a mirror cap LOL
fuck that color is so sick. i need my sti wrapped in that
Vídeo aula top
hey we got hundreds of colors to choose ...

👍
That looks alot like elephant grey
me thinking i could do this then realizing i can’t even get my screen protector on my phone without bubbles 😩😩
It’s just to hard. Don’t try to do it yourself. Been here for hours. Not just for me. Let the pros do it.
I think this will get wrinkles or shrink after some days or maybe in 48 hrs
It's not possible for it to shrink since I've already shrunk the film around the edges. I have door handles going on 4 years that were wrapped like this and still no issues
Recently I wrapped mirror in 5d gloss carbon ,but it started to lose the wrapped shape and got wrinkles fully!🤔
What brand of vinyl did you use? Mirrors are also one of the most common areas of failure
It was some Taiwan make , unbranded
Bro does this toooo easy😭
Just spent 4 hrs doin this shit I shoulda watched the vid first😒
Seriously who wraps their car in dull grey?
